What's everyone's thoughts Junior Malanda from Zulte Waregem in Belgium as a potential replacement for Wanyama? Only 18 led his team into a champions league spot in Belgium he is a monster if you thought big Vig was big this guy would eat him for lunch! Looks a real player!

MICHAEL Carroll, the man who spent the entirety of his £10 million lottery jackpot in ten years, has taken a job at the Walkers shortbread factory in Elgin.

Carroll, who won a £9, 736, 131 National Lottery jackpot in 2002, has taken up the job at the biscuit factory this week according to the Daily Record. Carroll was left with just 70p to his name at the end of his spending spree last year.

Carroll, 30, bought a plush mansion in Norfolk with his winnings and reportedly held regular stock car races on the grounds. He also invested £1 million in Rangers Football Club, and gave away almost a third of his jackpot to his friends and family. He estimates that he spent £12,000 a week on illegal drugs at the height of his excesses, and took over 100 trips to Spain in the decade.

Down to 70p and put a cool million into the old RFC liquidated a year ago today. Another victim of SDM.

Ed do you know how much freddy montero would cost from Seattle sounders he has a phenomenal goal scoring record wherever he's been might be worth a punt if/when we lose hooper

Hoopybhoy {Ed007's Note - It is difficult to know figures as the players are registered to the association rather than specific clubs.}

Just got home from pub after same old arguement from friends about how we would fair in epl with our current team. I stood my ground that despite money differences I feel that only Manchester United Man City Chelsea and Arsenal Tottenham were ahead of us I feel we could beat the rest. Opinions Bhoys

@Shammy "A Balde T Watt".
Just saw your naughty post here are a couple others in same vein.
On Radio 5 live one cricket commentator said this live on air "The batsman Holding, the bowler's Willie"
But topping even that was the late great Bill Tennant on STV with a cooking demonstration by Fanny Craddock who was making doughnuts, our Bill live on air said "sadly, we have run out of time but I hope all your doughnuts turn out like Fanny's" Timalloy {Ed007's Note - Hi Tim, nice to hear from you mate, I hope you are keeping well.}

no mention in any msm outlets that today is the anniversary of the liquidation of RFC noticed they mentioned the administration anniversary but seems to be reluctant to mention the L word no doubt to carry on the myth that it never happened

I wish people would cut gary hooper a bit of slack.
All of this "he should just go" "if he wants to go".

celtic cannot stop all these clubs bidding, and the guy has never came out and said anything bad about the club, just went about his buisness.

If he goes, good luck to him, if he stays its good for the football!

(obviously I don't wanna spend unwisely etc. and as long as we are financially stable and not spending outwith our means like rangers did. )

Balance sheets don't win trophies, footballers do!

So Ed, can you clarify whether we bring in some deadwood (Lassad, Miku, Rogic etc. ) to actually try to strengthen the team or is a lot of the decision based on Lennon trying to use his whole wage budget for fear of it being reduced the year after? For example, say we have a 400K a week wage budget but were only using 300K a week. surely Lennon tries to use up the extra 100K for fear of the board presenting a 300K wage budget the following season. Might shed some light on why we actually bring players in with no real intention of them ever making the starting eleven.

Faithful-thru-n-thru {Ed007's Note - That's a good point but I wouldn't like to think it was correct, proving you can win while being well with-in budget is a major plus on any manager's C.V.
I still maintain the players last summer were brought in with NL having no say so on that and they were merely PL and the board brightening things up with some new faces.
NL was hugely let down by PL in the transfer field and I think that is what has made the signing of Amido Balde so important. He is obviously one of NL's first choices and the speed the board have acted speaks volumes about their outlook, and baking of the manager, this season hopefully.}

Folks

I'm not a person who panics easily. I think I'm quite level-headed and sensible to be honest. But I do worry at times and this morning my nerves are flying high up the Worry-ometer.
The cause of this dilemma? It's the Irish influx over at New Govan FC. First it was Jon Daly on the pitch, now it's Kieran Prior, the rich banker, as an investor.
Whatever next?
Are we going to see them fly the tricolour on matchdays?
Or are they going to change the stadium name to Eirebrox?
Next we hear the Pope will be making a visit to Govan Community Centre and be photographed down the pub with Ally and Co.
Where will it end folks?

Hail Hail
ChrisBhoy {Ed007's Note - They are trying to break into the Scots/Irish market but CFC and Hibs will always be bigger than them at that level.}

just been looking at the cost of getting to dublin for the liverpool game, ryanair and aer lingus are looking for £175 return, give or take a tenner. 3 or 4 days before or after that weekend it's about 80 quid. I won't be encouraging their greed. the ferrys and hotels have done the same thing. robbers. shammy

So that's Balde, our target man, been signed. A centre half and a left winger would be ideal now. If Hooper does unfortunately leave, Adam Le Fondre is the ideal target

Just a thought. Hearts bank and parent companies go bust (same owner as Hearts) with Hearts owing each of them £15m and £10m. So £25m was pumped into Hearts out of those two companies, was it all spent on Hearts? Or did the owner pay himself much just like SDM borrowing a hundred million whilst paying himself and cronies large fortunes?

Was Hearts used to channel money out of Lithuania? I take it the £25m owed is all accounted for at Hearts with receipts! Or will there be a shredder lorry just like at RFC?

Fans being asked to buy STs for £500k bills to start of next season whilst £25m plus owed. The liquidators by law have to call that money in.
