Hope the McGinn talk ends again. Rank rotten as per usual. Anyone can play a few wonder games against the best team in the country but stand out against the rest especially that muck from Govan.

Doesn't seem any better than the likes of Henderson to me.

McGinn is a talent, possibly potentially, the most talented midfielder in Scotland at the minute, don't know why people put him down because he plays for Hibs. People have casted doubts on Griffith's ability when he played for Hibs.

I like McGinn but that's based on his performances against us and in the recent Scotland v Holland game. To be honest unless you are watching Hibs every week it's difficult to pass judgement properly.

Im on the fence but he has been the driving force in that team make no mistake. Not to be sniffed at for a guy his age. With better players round him he would go up a level again without having the pressure to do it all.

Great result tonight against a very well organized team. Fair play to Hamilton, they played defensive, counter attacking football and frustrated our forwards. They are a difficult side to play against. Well impressed with Ntcham tonight, he's going from strength to strength. Eduard looks strong and just needs that final touch. All in all, a good win for the Boys.

Stuart Armstrong has been amazing tonight he must have been needing dropped for a few games also Sinclair looking better the last couple of games looks happier.

The last 2 games sinclair looks if he is getting played in his rightful position. out wide. All season we have seen him play inside almost like a 2nd striker. He linked up well with mcgregor who i thought was good. Always looking to pass the ball forward.

Wouldn't have previous guessed that lineup tonight . good to see Ajer playing. Whereabouts on the park who knows? Hope Edourd shows the Motherwell form and not the weekend's. About time KT got a rest ☘.

Great to see some players rested Pat. Dominating and the formation is working very well. 3 fantastic goals. Infact 4 fantastic goals. Really happy to see Ajer playing and Edouard keeping his place in the team although would have liked to have seen Kouassi tonight. Ntcham continues to look a class act and Bitton has had a great 1s half.

Any more news on Liam Moore from Reading? Or with West Ham sniffing about has that essentially made us move on to other targets?

With the Zenit draw, would be expecting some defensive movement in January - Erik moving on as you said ED, with CB, R/ LB coming in. Nor so sure about Midfield as there are so many at the club. GK no chance until summer I'd say. happy to be proved wrong!

Not sure what team Brendan will go with this evening but reading back on the previous weeks comments i find it ridiculous that people who want some players rested are deemed as moaners or being negative. We threw Tierney in and look how that went. Why does wanting players rested come across as an attack on a particular player/ s? It means you want that particular player/ s to have a much needed rest after 18 months of hard graft, they have earned a rest and need it. We have a very good bunch of youths who deserve their chance, guys like Johnston, Miller, Ajer, add to that guys like Kouassi. We have players who are knackered, putting in 1 or 2 youths will give us some much needed energy going into the break where we can recharge and come back ready to win the treble. As i said yesterday we have more chance of losing our unbeaten run by playing out of form, tired players. Time the support showed a bit of faith in our youths who could easily have won or drawn all their CL games, they were not 2nd best in any of their 6 games. Johnston or Miller would run riot this evening given the chance. Good luck to whoever starts and if i am proved wrong and certain players who have looked tired and out of form up their performance levels i will be the first to congratulate them.

Problem is that everyone is saying we should rest players and bring in the young boys. Whilst I agree with this, what happens if BR makes 4 or 5 changes and one or two. of them don't play well or make a mistake and we get beat. People will be going daft.

We have played 50% More games than every other Scottish team. Resting player makes sense. Done it couple weeks back and one of so called fringe player bag a hattrick.

Don't know if anyone else listened to talkcrap on the radio today. I was in car and turned it on and it was Jim shining bright.
Point of my post is, they spoke with some guy who writes books and produces documentaries. He has just put one together where he has uncovered a dark side of football in England. It is about sign-on fees etc. for junior players. Examples he gave.

1 kid of 9 has been signed for £24,000 per year.
One kid of thirteen has been signed on a guaranteed 3 year deal for £45,000 A WEEK!

This just highlights the obscene amount of money and how it is abused in England and the lengths they will go to. (It did discuss the involvement of the parents in pushing deals)

The documentary comes out in January "No Hunger in Paradise" A brief outline can be read at:

One of the few like myself who thinks we should rest Sinclair, Was Miller not voted best youngster on the planet at left wing. Give him the ball and let him go do his thing, would love to see him or Johnstone start.

Every year we get the young superstars coming through. It never happens with most of them plying their trade with the Dundee's of this world.

The only star we have coming through is young Dembele the rest can't get in our team so how the feck that makes them great players eludes me.

They aren't great if they would be in. They're not and as I said, we have seen what level we are at after the CL.

If they're good enough, they're old enough. If you can't get on the bench ahead of Hayes then your kidding yersel on.

Our academy produces close to feck all in relation to real class. Tierney aside they all end up at shite clubs and then we focus on the next batch who look to me as if they are headed the same way.

our academy must be the easiest gig out there. One truly class player every 20 years. A waste of fecking time.

Have you seen the youths play this year Mp or is your comment based on the fact they haven't been given game time by Brendan. Find it insane to judge guys like Johnstone, Miller, Aitchison a waste of time. Miller has been shunted to left back after being voted the world best youngster left wing, Johnston was wanted by Chelsea before signing his new contract the day of his debut v St Johnstone and Aitchison is our youngest ever scorer kept out of the side by a Dembele and Griffiths and a youth player from mega rich PSG who we can buy for £7m.

I'm talking historical empirical fact.

I'm not writing anyone off. I'm stating a fact that year on year we hear about these starlets and tear on year they never reach anywhere near the levels they are being touted at.

I hope all of them are brilliant. I'm just saying I will keep my powder dry.

You either trust Rogers ir you don't. If he thought they had it they would be in. They're not. It's that simple.

13 Dec 2017 12:39:54
It certainly ain't through lack of ability it's maybe a bit of blind faith towards players who were excellent last season. That's my view on it anyway. Tierney was given a chance and he took it. The same can happen for others I have no doubt about that. Whether they are given a chance is anyones guess. I'm clearly one of the few who thinks 2 or 3 of them can step in and replace the guys needing a rest and i'll keep believing that.

Agree1 Disagree0

McGregor and Tierney both came through our youth ranks recently and are quality players.
It happens all over the world, young kids hyped up to be the next big thing and it doesn't happen. Look at Bojan for example, he was once touted as the next Messi and look at him now, he was even linked with us last summer.
