ref {Ed007's Note - The individual teams could negotiate their own TV and streaming deals, there are already murmurs in the EPL about this. Have a read:

www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2011/oct/11/liverpool-tv-breakaway

Sorry wasgetting a bit lost scrolling down page lol so started a new thread. hope you dont mind :)

I liked that article, got me thinking, suprise suprise.

If in relation to a euro breakaway league this was the manner in which tv deals were done. It could get awfully bogged down. One club say Celtic, could sell to Sky. and say Rangers could sell to well i dunno CBBC. We could end up with problems like we have now when us scots want to watch our away games in a different country. Easier if its all domestic like Liverpool are proposing for themselves just now, but i dont think it could necessarily work like that in a multi national league. unless theree was consensus and parity between all clubs and the channels they were broadcasting on, canal = epsn .

THat said, it is a good way for clubs to guarantee their own income, i just think with 20 different teams and a possible 20 different providers, coverage could actually go down overall. Obviously it could be a case of the clubs starting up their own channels and dealing with their own subscriptions, which may be the best way to go in a euro sense.

Evinguu {Ed007's Note - I think it would be along the lines of clubs own channels with subscriptions on TV and the internet. That would also throw up problems as well, MUTV is partially owned by SKY for example. It is more about the TV rights that is the problem, would SKY offer each team a fixed amount to show all their games live and use the 'red button' function to work it, while allowing clubs to charge their own subscriptions for internet streaming??? It would be serious money involved, Man Utd have an estimated 330 million fans throughout the world.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ian Ayre's comments related to monies made by the Broadcasters who are selling on tv rights to foreign countries. There is a collective agreement on tv money in the EPL, which is shared equally between the clubs. Its mainly Sky that pay to show the games. This is unaffected.
But then Sky are selling the tv rights to other individual countries eg USA, Australia etc. None of this money goes to the clubs. Ayre's point was that clubs with global fanbases like Liverpool should receive money for it's fans paying to see their games. Instead the money goes direct to the broadcaster.
Internet streaming is another matter.
Thanks go to ed002 for clarification on this by the way.
The Real KB {Ed007's Note - She knows her stuff, no doubt.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha yes the fabled sky, got their paws in every pie going.

theres also some lagality here aswell, if for example next year man uts broke away, they would be severing a contract with sky for the epl, would sky sue or demand certain rights? who knows thats one for legal boffins.

There is then the cross border agreements, canal+ i dont think are owned by sky ( research needed) ( god im reading like wikipedia lol) they would have the italian and french teams sown up, would they allow a sky crew to film and broadcast a game tfrom the delle alpi to the uk on another carrier without money changing hands for that?

I think that either one provider does the lot through a red button type thing as you say for each country and the clubs can stream subscriptions from their own websites. Or we end up in a complete free for all and end up not being able to watch barca v celtic at the neu camp, or ajax v rangers god just thinking of possible fixtures whets your appetite doesnt it. If theres too many interests we end up with not much, these are other reasons the clubs wouldnt be able to do it all for purley their own interest and as the REal KB alluded to its a bit of an irony that the best way for all aspects of this to work is by tems not being purley selfish but starting up in the interest for all but them doing it for selfish gain.

I want to see a more acessable game, christ you need 2 or 3 subscriptions to watch celtic every week or 2 on tv if you cant go to games, yet you can watch it on al jazeeera or spanish fox network on some rather dubious sites channels you cant really get here due to sky monopoly. Clubs miss out big time in some regards here due to the beurocratic laws and greedy and one dimentional television companies.

Evinguu

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats what i was guessing at there (in a very long winded way)The Real KB or should i say ed002 lol. from what i have seen her post about the sites she certainly knows her stuff! , how else would they make most of their investment back i suppose

I think that leads onto quite nicley the point i was making about missing certain games, if we had sky buing rights off a spanish provider to show games, would they want to buy them all? or would we only really have the choice to watch the Man Utd ,or Chelsea games, would they bother putting a celtic or rangers game on the red button that is going on the assumption we are in it of course , suppose this is all assumption and speculation. Im sure they would see it as not financially viable to show all the games , only ones with highest possible box office. But then again clubs could only agree to a deal where all their games are guaranteed to be provided on the main broadcaster.

Evinguu {Ed007's Note - Broadcasters know the box office that CFC and Rangers can bring in, in a stronger league that would rise as well with the worldwide market opening up more.}

Agree0 Disagree0

The eds are good on these pages Evinguu. You can have the banter, but also learn things.
Your point is a good one. A pan european league would go across national borders, and across national broadcasters.
I think the national broadcasters could pick up games either played in their own respective countries or involving home teams eg Sky for UK teams etc. But each match would be pay per view for the punter. If you wanted to watch eg Barca v Juve you'd pay a fee to Sky. Sky would then have to buy that game off the Spanish broadcaster. The entire deal could be done in a contract, with the clubs negotiating together ala the Prem League agreement but also seperately for foreign (non Euro) tv rights.
The Real KB

Agree0 Disagree0

Indeed they are good, and very kind for letting us all spout our views and whims, and putting up with a hell of a lot of dross. But best not butter em up too much, might go to their heads lol

I think an agreement like suggested for a euro league is a must. Travelling support is going to be low at best fans will need somewhere to watch their team, and yes im sure most of the clubs who will be involved could have giant screens fitted in the stadia for games as extra income too.

Anyways back to your point, yes they probably would plum for this sort of deal, it could also lead back to the individual club channels, ran by the broadcaster at a monthly/ yearly subscription. like sky sports MUTV etc now.

Now this could lead to a possible benefit to teams outside this group, could they have more opportunity to get matches on tv? as sky would be showing less overall games for these breakaway teams especially if there was individual subscription channels or games were ppv each time. Could help raise a little more coverage for other teams on tv, albeit they would probably get a fair whack less than they get now in a lot of circumstances.

Evingu, Real KB talking of new Euro leagues set me thinking on another tangent, what are the instantly recognisable "Iconic" team colours. Just by looking at strip you can identify the team well mine are the All White of Real Madrid, the blue and purple of Barcelona, the yellow and blue of Brazil, the blue and white stripes of Argentina and dare I say it the famous green and white hoops of Celtic. I have friends in Italy who love the hoops as Italian teams wear mostly blue, red, black colours. Sorry KB but would people abroad instantly recognise Liverpool strip? Any other iconic team colours? Over to you guys? Neil T

Believable0 Unbelievable1

I think youve got the main ones in there already, i would maybe add the milan teams and fiorentina for their purple strip. If you were to line up all the club shirts in a store i feel the madrid, barca, celtic, man utd red, i also think the riverplate whhite and red diagonal stripe woult stnd out and the boca blue and yellow. And then im thinking your kinda into just minor differences between the rest, blue and white, red n white, who ewas it that had the pink one palermo? that would stand out but the team wouldnt be really known to someone who didnt know much about football teams and strips.

I suppose its all relative to your prior knowledge of footie to a certain degree, but those are the extra ones that stand out particulllarily to me :)

Evinguu

Cmon boys, who else has the all scarlet strip ?
Hoops worn by Sporting ? An Austrian team as well - Rapid Vienna ?

The single largest selling strip in the world a little while ago was Torres no.9 Liverpool shirt. So you can't seriously say that our all red strip is not stand out. C'mon here !
The Real KB {Ed007's Note - You can stop wearing them any time mate ;-)

Agree1 Disagree0

A strip I am very fond of is the all white of Ajax, with that single vertical red stripe on the side. That side of the late 60's / mid 70's with Cruyff. Jesus H. Fanatastic. He was poise, style, pace, skill. European cup winners 3 x times in a row. 1974 World Cup was the one for me ed. Think I cried when the Dutch lost.
The Real KB {Ed007's Note - WOW are you that old?? So you can actually remember LFC winning the league????? In future I will remember your age when editing you and cut you some slack. DO YOU WANT A WURTHER'S ORIGINAL?? ;-)

Back then silk scarves were the fashion. Tied around the neck, wrists, in belt loops. All at once. I sat watching the 74 FA Cup Final wearing about 9 x scarves. Lol.
Midget Gems are my poison ed.

Glad to see the back of the Internationals as I hate International Football. But hats off to Craig Levein. Wins 3 out of 8 - far too negative in most of his games, but he gets SFA plaudits and green light to lead us to even more mediocrity, ya beauty.
Cowdenbeith, Hearts and chased out of Leicester and the charisma of a Geometry Teacher - But he is doing a great job? Aye Right. Get Wee Strachan in.
Anyway what happened to the big board meeting at Celtic Park on Tuesday? More 'Colin Nish' from the blue side BS brigade.. Mon The Hoops.

Just read an article in daily mail, about agents and young players and the enticements offered. Given all the kerfuffle over Islam Feruz and Chelsea, I had a wry smile on my face when I read that Chelsea have banned all agents from their Academy fixtures and only agents approved get access, chelsea also only deal with officially approved agents (approved by them) this all smacks of double standards after their offering feruz big money neil t

After the scotland game last night how would you feel about this idea?

If all/most Scottish teams pulled through the younger players (hopfully) mostly Scottish and played them rather than spending money on all these people from all over the place.on that note, I feel in a few Years time the money side of things will be out of control & signing players could be a problem.

Its just a though,what's everyone else think?

I know it would take a will but could be the future ?

To all the muppets banging on about supporting Scotland and England,someone has put it on the main pages,have a look and see what people think about it.I'm a proud Englishman and we don't need any plastic fans supporting us.If your Scottish then support your own country and less of this British BS. Britain has nothing to do with football.If there was a GB team how many of your diddy players would even be considerd, NONE.I laughed last night watching Spain trounce Scotland,thats what REAL England fans do.Never read so much carp on here before, your Eddy is right its pathetic.I've heard of glory hunters at clubs but NEVER at internationals. HAHA saddos.You have my sympathy Bond dealing with that tripe. LMAO
England '66

England 66, how can anyone be a gloryhunter supporting England lmao. You should get to the AA and try and get off the drink. No England team in the near future or even in the next 10 years will win any of the major trophies. So wake up and be alcohol free for a change lol.
Scotland RFC 67 {Ed007's Note - The post the started all this was from someone who said they or their mates support England when Scotland don't qualify for major tournaments (and to wind up CFC fans????). That sounds a bit like glory hunting to me to be fair.}

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Whoever started the post ed must be on the alcohol. I still think he 66 must be on it aswell thinking anyone that is non english that wants England to win is a gloryhunter lmao. He is getting his bit in with England 66. We get that RAMMED down our throats every tournament they are in. My mates are over in Spain just now and attended last nights game. They are massive Rangers supporters follow them everywhere and Scotland when they can and if you asked them or even me for that matter if they want England to win games or tournaments the will give you dog abuse lol.
Scotland RFC 67 {Ed007's Note - Thanks mate, that was my point last night. If you look back at last night on the Banter site starting at 11 Oct 2011 19:31:13 you will see for yourself what was said.}

Good to see so many true Scottish fans from Rangers coming out and agreeing that Scotland fans shouldn't support anyone else. International football should be about personal pride in a country you feel tied to. I have no problem with any Rangers fans supporting England if that's what they want to do, but to support Scotland and England, or any two international teams seems completely alien to me.}

I must admit ed am a Scotland fan but i prefer club football which am a pure bluenose but i don't support any other country except from Scotland

No totally agree club football is much better there is nothing better then a good old fashioned old firm
campbell {Ed007's Note - The first World Cup I remember is Spain '82, I was eight when it was on but I was blew away seeing players like Zico, Socrates, Rossi and Boniek etc. The '86 one was special with Maradona but after that WCs and Euros have just consistently downhill. Last years WC was diabolical as a whole, I was actually in hospital for most of it so I was forced to watch games I probably wouldn't have otherwise. Maybe it is because most of the players we can see every week now playing for their club, in their league or in Europe.}

I'm about the same age as you Ed & have 2 sons, the one at 13 is a fountain of football knowledge that would put many a grown man to shame & in this house we are 'forced' to watch all manner of football..he's never bored of it although Sportscene is his worst football programme - Chrissy

He's going to sit in the rangers end to watch Liverpool next week but has been well warned not to sing YNWA :) {Ed007's Note - At least he has taste in his TV programmes but a Rangers and LFC match!!!!!!! I'd ground him for that ;-) I like watching La Liga but I am a Real Madrid man, have been for years.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ahh you were doing such a good job pretending to be an Englishman, but let yourself down by using one word.....diddy! Im in the RAF. Ive spent years living in parts of England and Scotland working alongside people from all over the UK and never in my 9 years have I heard a single Englishman use the word "diddy".

Nice try mate but at the end of the day you are a s**t stirrer and nothing else! Pathetic

Copied from the Rangers page. The guys got a point the English don't use that word. So who's stirring it a Celtic poster or Rangers poster?
BBear {Ed007's Note - I know plenty of English people that use the word diddy these days. I am not getting into another pathetic, long drawn out piece of conspiracy BS.}

Opinions for the team on saturday?

I think we should go with a 4-3-1-2 formation

Zaluska
Wilson. Wilson. Mulgrew. El khaddouri
Kayal. Ki. Ledley
Bangura
Hooper. Stokes.

Anyone agree?

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Wilson, Kayal and Ledley are all injury doubts. We need a holding midfeilder like Wanyama, Bangura is not a midfielder. My team if all fit
Forster, Mathews, Mastolovecic (Rogne?)
Mulgrew, El kaddouri, Wanyama, Ki, Kayal (if fit) Ledley (if fit) Stokes, Hooper

Good afternoon all
I was giving a little bit of thought to a european super league breakaway and our chat yesterday.
I would guess that the organising body of this would take as many clubs with them who wanted to join, to strengthen their own hand.
It could be like a house of cards ed, no ?
By which I mean who would dare to be left out. There could be numerous new European leagues, of teams at a similar level.
Leave all the national FA bodies with just minor teams to administer !?
The Real KB {Ed007's Note - Everybody would want a piece of the pie no doubt KB but there would need to be a line somewhere and some sort of criteria that must be met. A lot of smaller clubs could end up in financial meltdown if the bigger teams left their league, would SKY still put the same money into the EPL without Utd, LFC or City etc, I doubt it.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

That would be a great danger ed. Lots of clubs could go out of business or become semi pro / amateur.
I wonder how the common fan would receive it too ?
I can see the appeal, but I'm also a bit of a traditionalist too. I suspect many fans would consider this.
You wonder if, ultimately, a new European set up would alienate both the lower levels of the game and the man in the street ?
The Real KB {Ed007's Note - The man in the street would still be attending their team's home matches. The lower levels of football would suffer though. Ed003 (Blackpool supporter) is dead against any restructuring, he always fights in the corner of the 'smaller' teams.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Real KB, was listening to radio (talksport I think) and they were talking about this, and a point came up saying that the new rich Russian clubs would want in as would american franchises like LA Galaxy and the New York Cosmos who now have billionaires backing them, but would the quality of football be better with these kind of teams. I don't think so Neil T

Agree0 Disagree0

I recon for any sort of european league there would need to be an initial qualification stipulation. Bit like champions league although with all actual champions getting in and runners up from the top 15 uefa rated associations. cud end up with a what 30 team league, bottom 4 auto relegated back to their domestic league and the campions promoted from the relegated nations league in their place, Could still run all national cups etc so wud still get possible derbies etc, Dont really think it could work too well as lots would be disappointed. But could still have europa, champs league and national cups too, just these teams are playing in a newly formed league instead of their national ones.

Cant be bothered doing too much thought on this one, as this idea and many other possible ways of doing it would be frowned apon and blocked by a lot of clubs.

Evinguu

Agree0 Disagree0

Evinguu - the talk is that it will pretty much happen. And it'll be a breakaway mate, from UEFA, FA, etc.
Neil T - that's interesting about the Americans. As I was saying to ed, many clubs will want in. I can't see any being turned away either. If there's enough clubs, they'll have to seperate them by divisions. How, would be a contentious point.
Apart from The Old Firm, any other Scottish clubs have a case ed ? Hearts ?
The Real KB {Ed007's Note - Hearts and Hibs would say they should be in because they are based in the capital. Aberdeen would say they should be in it because they won things when LFC did ;-) and probably Dundee United would use the same argument. Every team would have their own case. Where would they draw a line, would Leeds be shouting for a place? They are still massive club although in the doldrums just now, their crowds and fanbase are better than some of the other teams from other countries who would walk into a Euro set up.}

Agree0 Disagree0

It'll be that fellas voice on the telly giving the football results, when you can tell by the tone of his voice what the result is...
European Division 5
Celtic 1 - 3 New York Cosmos
Tenerife 4 - 0 Leeds Utd
The Real KB ;-D {Ed007's Note - LOL}

Agree0 Disagree0

The real KB, i get that its a breakaway, just dint make my point clear that thats a way it can still be run without all the underhandedness and bitterness that would surround top teams breaking away. Eventual fifa bans on not recognising players who play in the league further diminishing the quality on show at world cups, the complete break up af all fa's who dont comply, yes they could band under a different banner but we would still end up back at a similar situation as we are, would revamp football on a global scale from the very bottom to the very top, and i dont think there really is the finance, and aptitude amoungst clubs to break away on their own completley like that. Not that im saying it wouldnt be great if it could all be figured out, i just think a complete breakaway would have too many consequences because otf the power fifa especially have over the game ( and yes that is too much)

Evinguu {Ed007's Note - If all the 'super powers' pull together UEFA/FIFA would need to toe the line to even remain in existence I would imagine.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed very true indeed, and we all know what these type of organations are like, cling onto any morsel of power or influence they can by any means possible.

In doing this though because of the power they have at the moment clubs would have to pull out of all competitions at the same time, and get it all arranged sharpish ( yes foreplanning)

Whos rulebook would they use to play the games? fifa would go to court over that surley, im sure its their rulebook now and its also their ball and they will go home if no one plays by their rules lol.

If every clup in every league accross europe, or even the world said right here we go were setting up european divisions and everyone said fine, we accept our place in that division it makes sense, then there is straight off the bat it going to happen. But there will be wrangles like have been said about clubs going, ehh how are they in division 2 and we are in 4? etc etc etc. there would still need to be some governing body! who would this be? who are the people that would do it? a bunch of guys in it for vested interests to suit themselves and or their own clubs, does that not sound a lot like fifa but with clubs in the thoughts a tiny bit more?
Sponsorship wise wouldnt be an issu, cos lets face it sponsors are whores and they will follow their interests up a donkys ar5e!

I can see it happening but in the end there would end up being an organisation very very similar to FIFA e, UEFA etc and would end up going round in a big circle exceppt playing different teams week in week out.

Ok, i do need more thought on this, might try and continue later lol "oh joy" i hear anyone reading this say lol

Evinguu {Ed007's Note - Not at all, it's a decent discussion and better than the usual bickering.}

Agree0 Disagree0

You make some valid points mate. As I understand it, it's really the old G14 and a few more clubs that are pushing this agenda. Maybe 20 x clubs. The top revenue earners and traditional football powers. If they left, it would be similar to the old Kerry Packer break away in cricket. The players may leave international football, though it's suggested that FIFA will be forced to negotiate to retain some of its power.
But if the top earners, what will the rest do ? Say the EPL without Lpool, Utd, City, Chelsea, Arsenal, maybe Spurs. What will the rest do, want to join up as well ? Maybe they'd watch and wait, see how things go, before committing. Or be so fearful of missing out that they'd force an expansion. Who knows. I hope they do Pensioner's Specials in the Bernabau ed, cos I'll be about getting there when this kicks off. Lol.
Tartan blanket and Paella for a quid fifty.
The Real KB {Ed007's Note - No matter what age you are KB you should get to see the Bernabeu. It's a fantastic stadium.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Real KB, Evingu as you say richer clubs will start calling for this, but as I heard mega rich Russian clubs and big American "franchises" (I hate that word) will want in, so then you have to factor in travelling and time differences as well, then will the bigger clubs want to either play in China or include a Chinese club for global tv marketing? It could get very complicated Neil T

Agree0 Disagree0

Wherever Liverpool win their next European Cup or Pan European League, I'll get my ashes scattered there. Lol.
Except Cold Trafford of course. And Stamford Bridge, The Emirates, White Hart Lane, Wembley...
The Real KB {Ed007's Note - You can't expect your great-great grandkids to keep your ashes that long mate ;-) Have you got your hankies and excuses looked out for Saturday?}

Agree0 Disagree1

Right, euro leagues depending on how many want to break away. How do you decide how many divisions or future league structure? take all clubs and divide? make it invite only depending on predetermined conditions... stature, fan base, stadium size etc. base it on existing coefficients? (scotland are screwed if the last ones the case) or base it on last positions in a UEFA endorsed league, ie champions div 1, 2nd div 2 and so on and then let relegation and promotion sort the rest out untill teams find their true level in the set up. That way would cause issues as would take an eternity for say a team who finished in 16th in the EPL would start way below their true ability and take years to get to their place. Or do you play a year of tournaments between teams to get a seeding and then get drawn from a hat to find your place, like a bunch of champs leagues tourneys with completley random teams in it, winner of each tourney goes straight into the firts division. This list of ppossibilities is actually endless. Or do we simply get a group of teams (the big guns) the old G14 or whatever amount it is nowadays form up and then teams apply to come in at a tier below them at their discression then start the relegations etc? the last is probably the most likley and workable IMO.

Then we have money. The likes of your Manchester Unitds, Chelseas, Real Madrids will automatically want a bigger piece of the pie than your PSG's, Celtics, Rangers (not that they will want it too, but who will have the most weight in the first formations of this?) and there are valid reasons why. I feel any monies gained through sponsors tv deals would have to be split all the way down the middle accross the whole division. To Create a better even playing field.

Then we have tranfers, There are going to be clubs left behind if it is this select group who do make a league. Are these clubs going to be willing to let their talent leave to this europe leaggue? are fifa ( if a complete break from them is made) allow the breakaway teams easily access these player, they will say to those left behind, You cohort with them bunch o bampots and we will hammer you!! i think its likley.

Add this to other issues that have been mentioned briefly and there is a mess, but not a completley unworkable one ... if clubs can say right we do this together , we are not out for vested interests unless we are playing on the park!

Evinguu {Ed007's Note - The individual teams could negotiate their own TV and streaming deals, there are already murmurs in the EPL about this. Have a read:

On second thoughts, if Liverpool were to win a European Cup Final at Old Trafford. Oh mate. Never mind cremated, I want a top notch oak casket, with me stuffed by a taxidermist holding six fingers up clenched pose, preserved inside, and the casket buried in front of the Stretford End. That would be heaven. LOL.
The Real KB {Ed007's Note - I don't think you would last long KB. It might actually prove that people can die twice!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Evinguu, all sorts of brain smashers there mate. It would be interesting to see to what extent the new 'league/s' would look to spread out any wealth amongst themselves. Considering the thing would have been motivated and set up by self-interest in the first place. An irony there.
The Real KB

Agree0 Disagree0

The real KB, love that idea but why dont you go the whole hog and have a plexiglass top and have yourself hung right over the centre spot from those camera lines? so they can see that wonderful expression lol

And that could be an idea for a business venture! turn football grounds into cemetarys... oh wait some grounds like old trafford and ibrox are allready like that

Evinguu {Ed007's Note - Hoi!!!! Leave OT out of it. Second best stadium in the UK ;-) and still growing, Utd this week spent £8.2 million on land around OT but nobody knows what they have planned for it.}

Agree0 Disagree0

, ohh dear that made me laugh ed.. ok i take it back ( well not entirley i stand by my comments really) maybe could have used The Emerates as a better example :)

That is interseting indeed though. There is always talk about expanding that place every year it would seem and of course with good reason it could simply be a case of that i imagine. Or it could be future planning for The Real KB's shrine lol

ps sorry to digress from our original thread, but you're leading me down roads I just can't pass by. Lol. {Ed007's Note - Like roads filled with Shell-Suits-R-Us shops mate?}

Afternoon Ed first point, although not on here that long, I agree with putting a name to your posts, I think it lets other posters interact with you either for or against point you are trying to make. What I don't like is the unamed posters (sadly on here mostly bears) trying to stir it either posting using different names or worse using a regular posters tag, if caught these should be banned.
My other point I see Kayal travelled to Israel but did not play, I find this strange surely he should have stayed here either getting treatment or resting his injury or both. Neil T {Ed007's Note - People who do get caught using other people's names do get banned Neil. Leaving names does help people to interact and keep track of conversations but it is optional. I thought that was a bit strange from Kayal as well but seemingly he had permission to travel to Malta as it was the final group game and they wanted the squad together. There was never any chance of him playing.}

Have a look on the Rangers site at 12 Oct 2011 00:44:09. The top English ed says even he doesn't take anything serious without some kind of name attached to it. Good on the eds,lots of us feel the same.Best way to be I reckon.At least numptys like Dhim and Miko leave a name and take dogs abuse back.

Mark WATP {Ed007's Note - We are all the same, we don't force people to leave a name, but we don't give any credence to posts that don't. On the English sites a lot of posts that don't leave a name just get ignored by others as well.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mark, you make a good point, then spoil it by calling regular posters silly names.
But then your own tag after Mark shows you up for what you are, why put that? Neil T

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry Neil.I was only having a cheeky dig at Tim,I thought he could take it.I put WATP after my name to identify myself as a Rangers fan.

Mark WATP {Ed007's Note - Loads of Rangers fans have that 2nd name lol it's like 'bhoy' for CFC fans.}

Agree0 Disagree0

See this WATP thing, is it not a bit arrogant and supremacist? could it not be a bit less in your face as WASP, we are some people?? which is wholly more accurate!!

Evinguu

Agree0 Disagree0

WASP would suit them better small irritating insect that no one likes and will stab you in the back when upset.

Do you not get stabbed with a wasps sting. Maybe I should have put with a nasty sting in their tail when upset.

Agree0 Disagree0

We are second placers? exlain that one considering we are top of the league and have won the last 3 titles

Tony..... I just picked up on that comment from yesterday further down the page. Are you Rangers guys short on fans? and need everyone to be incognito rangers supporters to keep up the numbers? Maybe all these empty wee plastic seats at Ibrox are Rangers fans in disguise too? (yes same could be said for the empty seats at Celtic Park lol)Although to be fair if I was a bear in disguise surely id be fatter and hairier? cos no way am I big enough for a bear to hide inside or am I not getting the point there.

I fail to see why you think this, it distresses me, and will keep me awake tonight fretting over it. I cannot have this constant cloud over me. For me the stigma of being a Rangers fan would be comparable to being a homosexual in the 50s, so maybe in 40 years or so society can wake up and realise that it is ok for you guys to feel the way you do and support the team you do, but please do not accuse anyone else of being a bear in disguise in the meantime. Lol

Just seen this post on the liverpool site

'why would we want to sign an over the hill striker from Celtic who can only score goals in a poor league?
By the way - what is Henrik Larsson up to these days?

JRG'

Admitedley it was to a united fan but seriously gotta be the worst bit of banter i have read for a while and that is saying something!
