As everyone knows I am far from James Florist's biggest fan but I'm sick to the back teeth of our players getting injured while away on international duty.

From John Kennedy all the way through to Biton and Florist last week it seems to always happen to our players, perhaps the Kennedy injury has just made us more aware of it over the years.

Just as Biton is staking his claim for a regular starting position BOOM! He is out for the rest of the season.

I'd never celebrate any player being injured, even when Rangers were stinking up the place I thought the Aberdeen fans singing about Durrant for years was out of order, but I am glad (for want of a better word) to see Florist out for a while. Hopefully as he gets back to fitness he will find a bit of the form that has been lacking since he first burst onto the scene, then we can sell him :)

I'm sure an English Championship team would pay £2-3m for him, he has become far too injury prone over the last 2 years and it is starting to look more likely that he will become the same as Boerrigter.

With the financial prudence the board are showing we can't afford to be paying wage of players who are constantly in and out the team injured, 15 league appearances last season and only 16 so far this season is simply not a good enough return.

Is 24 goals in 121 (a goal every 5.25 games) over 5 years a good enough return for a Celtic winger?

Samaras has a superior goals/game ratio (1 every 3.4 games) for us and even before he refused to sign a new contract the majority fans wanted rid of him.

I know our season is as good as over but we can do without our players picking up injuries, especially when they aren't even playing for us when they get injured.

Why are the club even agreeing to release injury prone players for friendly internationals?

Its a problem that concerns me. Cost us John Kennedy and most importantly his playing career

Apparently Biton is only out for a matter of weeks. Injury not as bad as first expected (ssn)

I think I've made my feelings clear on all internationals last week. Why should we pay pay players to go away and travel the world playing for their Countrys. I f*kcin hate internationals.

Back to football and Celtic related matters.
Firstly, I cannot understand why the club did not let Van Dijk serve his suspension against Inverness, now we hear club abandon appeal and VVD is suspended for away game at Kilmarnock, coupled with other injuries it makes game more difficult than it should be.
On the subject of injuries these international breaks seem to always cause Celtic problems with players returning injured, this time it is Biton and Forrest although to be fair if you even LOOK at Forrest he gets injured.
Now some transfer gossip. , if big Fraser leaves why not try and get Fabianski of Arsenal who is out of contract this summer. Before everyone mentions his wages, he is being targeted by Swiss side Basel, so surely we can compete wage wise with them?

Speaking of horse racing,

A man walks up to Paddy in the bookies and says, "Paddy, would you like the winner of the next race?"

Paddy replies, "No thanks mate. I've only got a small garden."

Hail Hail
