Just read GMS has been wearing that bandage because he got a hair transplant is this true? If so it goes to show his love for Stuart Armstrong knows no bounds haha.

What teams can we avoid or teams we shall get when we smash linfield?

Believable3 Unbelievable4

12 Jul 2017 20:51:54
Assuming the seeded teams win we could be facing old foes Malmo, Astana, Qurabag or the israelis in the next round. Or the draw could be kinder. Regardless we should see off any of them if we play half decent. The final qualifying round will be tougher and I'll be happy if we avoid Legia Warsaw.

13 Jul 2017 05:02:43
Let's just get past Linfield first, you sound like one of the peeple who had a poll on whether they were going to win the Europa league or the spfl before the progress game . Humility is free and arrogance leads to humiliation.

Agree6 Disagree8

13 Jul 2017 06:17:25
So you don't think we'll beat Linfield? There's a big difference between confidence and arrogance.

Agree7 Disagree5

13 Jul 2017 08:41:28
Yes I do, when we smash Linfield, is not just confident it's arrogant if you don't see why, I'm not going to waste time explaining it .

Agree3 Disagree5

13 Jul 2017 11:27:34
I agree I think we shall beat linfield over 2 legs comfortably but I do believe they will be up for it. I will be happy winning the first leg by any score 😁.

13 Jul 2017 11:41:20
Fair enough Ballochi. I see where you're coming from now.

13 Jul 2017 14:04:46
Ok smart arse3 when we get past linfield who can we get an avoid. I was using that term smash as i think we should be. Honestly man can't believe i need to explain myself.

Agree3 Disagree2

13 Jul 2017 23:28:00
Should be putting at least 10 past these over the 2 legs, Not arrogance it is expected.

The type of midfielder he is buying looks like pure power through the middle of the park, can't be a bad thing let's the flair players play.

Good luck to GMS, I think he was just not up to the mark for us, does anybody know if we got a fee for him?

Believable5 Unbelievable2

12 Jul 2017 21:21:03
Undisclosed fee is what I read.

Sometimes it just doesn't work out for various reasons but I think Aberdeen are getting a right good player I remember being more excited about him signing than Armstrong. I'm sure he will rip it up in the SPL and with Christie there too I don't think they are too much weaker for the loss of Hayes and Mcginn. They seem to have recruited well and I now think they will maintain 2nd spot. I really hope they make Europe too as the experience would be good for Christie and it would rub salt in the wounds of the currants.

Ed what's the story with Eboue? I know he was injured recently but what are the plans for him this season?

We now have Brown, Rogic, Armstrong, McGregor, Bitton, Eboue and Ntcham competing for various roles in the middle. We could also throw some of the young lads into the mix as well. That's lots of players to keep happy. It was big money we paid for him. Would love to see him get a run of games to prove himself.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

{Ed007's Note - Rodgers has explained that Eboue Kouassi was a long term project and the first six months were about the young lad becoming accustomed to the language, living in a new country and the football. He's still a big part of the manager's future plans.}

Thank you.

Wondering if we should go after Jason Denayer. I just read a story where he is unhappy as City want to loan him out again and he is looking for a permanent deal.

Believable1 Unbelievable3

12 Jul 2017 18:54:13
Did you not read what he said after he left us bad mouthing everything.

Agree2 Disagree1

12 Jul 2017 19:25:58
I read that he says he found his time to easy but I also read he is looking to move to a club that is dominating and that he is looking to improve which he would do under BR.
CL football could be a big draw along as we were only in the Europa League when he was here the last time.

Agree0 Disagree2

12 Jul 2017 19:36:29
He wrongly thought he was too good for us so sod him. Jozo's better. Ajer has potential and here's hoping Duverne or someone of his standard will come in.

Agree2 Disagree0

12 Jul 2017 19:43:54
Don't see an issue with him saying he found it easy. He was quite good for us, in no small part due to playing beside Virgil. He does seem to have an inflated opinion of his ability, but he hasn't really set the world alight since he left. Did I not see footage of him trying to cave someone's head in with his boot recently during a street fight? Would rather avoid anyone at that nonsense.

Agree0 Disagree2

12 Jul 2017 20:19:52
Although Sunderland were awful last season Denayer was shown up when I saw him, when he was here big Virgil probably made him look better than he was and he was mouthing off when he left, we can find better I hope
Drewzybhoy.

If he bad mouthed us eff him. He's not as good as he thinks he is. We do need a CB though, I'm never calm when either Boyata or Shev are under pressure, or trying a forward pass.

Brendan hopefully feels the same.

First thing the game is on premier tv.

Second i beleive we have a stong enough squad for this CL round and the next, but given the quality of the oppenent we could face in the group stage qualifing round i would like to see a really expeienced left sided centre back purchased.

Next I think the CL allow for 25 players in the selection we have a lot of young players in the first team and only 18 over the under 21 age limit and three of these could leave before the end of August ( Mackay-Steven, Biton and Cifti) I know this is not popular but i would like to see 3/ 4 older players brought in if these are sold.

I would also liketo see Scott Sinclair tears Linfield a new one

Good luck to all the new players and welcome to the Celtic family.

Not posted for a wee while - just wanted to say a few points:

-welcome aboard to the new bhoys, that Oliver looks a big lad let's hope he can bring it to our midfield.

-good luck to everyone on Friday (is the game on tv? What channel anyone? )

-I reckon there is quality to be added to the squad post CL qualification (fingers crossed)

-seen the Scott Sinclair banner in NI - complete disgrace, what sane people must think of this is beyond belief. He is a real talent and should be welcomed by one and all into the scottish game. Acts like this must deter decent people.

-don't want their tainted titles, but I would encourage fans of all clubs to unite and force a review- cheats are cheats, but for the SFA to condone it makes a mockery of football and our country.

-I'm still clinging to hope of Paddy in green and white hoops with a no. 7 on his back.

-I reckon johnny Hayes will bust a gut for us this year.

All The best troops.

I think I read that Ollie will be wearing no.21, does that mean that the number 7 shirt is free?

I hope that we are saving it for wee Pat!

Believable3 Unbelievable2

{Ed007's Note - Ntcham will wear No.21 but there was never much chance of him wearing No.7, not many CM's do. Fingers crossed it's sitting waiting for Paddy.}

Sadly unless Wee Pat has been keeping himself fit playing with Possilpark Juniors, I don't think he will make it lol.

Nadir Ciftci is still with the club and is the current wearer of the No7 jersey, hopefully not at the end of the transfer window, Paddy would look great in it!

ED's I take it that will be the last of any transfers until after the Group Stages are confirmed or do you know of any other progress with players?

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed007's Note - I'll be surprised if anyone else is brought in before then after what Rodgers said last week and I think the next week or two will be spent on getting players moved on. Espanyol have came back in for Bitton btw.}

12 Jul 2017 13:15:35
Think moving Bitton on is a must along with a few others possibly on loan. The Armstrong matter is worrying as I feel he is a top player and must be kept. Goal scorring midfielders are difficult to come by so i hope he's still in the hoops for a few more years.

Agree2 Disagree2

{Ed007's Note - Espanyol bid 5 million Euros for Bitton in January, if we could get that from them now it would be a cracking bit of business and would cover what we paid for Ntcham.}

12 Jul 2017 14:57:53
Going into the qualifiers with Erik and Jozo with only an untried Ajer and out of position Lustig as backup isn't ideal.

Agree0 Disagree2

{Ed007's Note - I forgot about that, Kev, yeah I think there might be a CB brought in maybe even just a loan.}

12 Jul 2017 15:47:00
Toure on a new one-year deal maybe?

Agree0 Disagree2

{Ed007's Note - Another year older and another year fatter, no thanks from me, Kev.}

12 Jul 2017 15:53:31
Ntcham as untried as ajer?

Agree0 Disagree1

12 Jul 2017 16:45:11
Young Chelsea Boy? Is he not a centre back?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Kyle Jameson - I don't think he would be up to it yet. He's only 18 and up until January when he joined Chelsea he was playing for Southport Under 18s and he only played 4 or 5 games for Cheslea Under 18s since joining them. It would be a huge risk imo.}

12 Jul 2017 17:49:34
If we had to call on one of our youngsters would defintely go with either Ajer or McCart over Jameson at the moment. Ajer 16 appearances for Kilmarnock, McCart 11 appearances for ICT. That experience will be essential if either are called upon. Don't want to see either sitting on our bench though hoping both go out on loan again and get plenty game time to develop their skills and decision making as CB's.

12 Jul 2017 11:46:50
Reports in the Guardian now that the effigies of Scott Sinclair are being investigated as a hate crime. Its a real shame the lad has to be part of this, but here's hoping there'll be consequences.

Believable9 Unbelievable0

12 Jul 2017 11:40:19
Now we know what the hold up was with Ntcham.

It was just to wind up the other mob spending bigger money on there day that's all it was :-P (Y)

Believable5 Unbelievable3

{Ed007's Note - Where's Gunniebhoy? Does Wednesday count as the weekend and does spending £4.5 million smash our transfer record? Looks to me like Wee Frankie from Tw@tter - with his 13 followers - who's usually spot on and isn't the bull$shitting type couldn't have been more wrong or chat more BS! ;)

12 Jul 2017 12:23:26
Did he touch a nerve Ed? It's UJ ad like to hear from according to him we are skint as we are putting all our money into the hotel. Hope he's not out doing the penguin walk.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - Nah man, but instead of leaving his mistake well alone Gunnie decided to come back a couple of days later and use some blog a Man City fan wrote as further evidence that we were going to smash our transfer record and pay £7 million for Ntcham.}

12 Jul 2017 12:41:31
Oh you have me Ed, Don't do twitter or facebook mate am a dinosaur when it comes to these things plus with the upbringing I had I was well warned ( educated even ) that nothing controversial EVER went down in WRITING!

I have often wondered about these clowns that post something "beyond the pale" what education level's do they have, surely a "father figure" in there lives have guided them?

It genuinely horrifies me when I see the police getting involved in something someone posts simply because the proof is there! Stupidity does not cover it mate (Y)

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - I'm just teasing Gunnie a bit but you're right, Twitter's just a cesspit mate and a vehicle for some of the most mentally disturbed people in the world.}

12 Jul 2017 13:25:29
Campsie Bhoy mate, Bunion Jack was on telling us we had " a great fear of the unknown" ( In relation to there signings )

Well they ventured into the unknown in Luxembourg and that is what I call PROGRES (Y)

Think you'd have had the decency to have a quick wash and bin your undies. but waiting till the game was over. I'll let you aff this time as long as you left the soiled garments in the hun bar as a wee going away prezzy.

Agree0 Disagree2

12 Jul 2017 06:22:58
The match on Friday musn't be overblown out of proportion. This game has attracted so much attention for all the wrong reasons. The hunfest going on in Belfast today is a sad indictment of the sectarianism that should have been killed off years ago.
This is a qualifying match against a vastly inferior team. A solid, professional performance by Celtic will say a lot more than any objections to the bonfires and I expect Celtic to beat them with ease. Any bhoys going to the game, be careful and be aware. MTH.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

12 Jul 2017 06:33:24
Guys, the bitterness in N. Ireland at this time time of year is nothing short of a state-sponsored hatefest. The bigotry is palpable and the current generation are bringing their children into it.
They say it's their culture and I agree, their culture is nothing short of KKK behaviour. HH.
