Happy to admit my concerns about Boyce's physicality were needless, Jullien did all the bullying tonight and was absolutely fantastic. Phenomenal performance from the whole team. It was a pleasure to freeze my b*ll*cks off watching that.

After our defeat in December, I was convinced it was going to the wire. Hat off to Kev 83 who said we should not panic because Celtic would still win the title by double figures. ๐Ÿ‘.

Same here. I've had my concerns since the start of the season. Gutted with myself. But the hunplosion has happened again and I guess until the summer they're no coming no more. Again.

We haven't won it yet! Yes we are in a great position now and to see the Sevvies falling apart is a joy to behold but as Lenny says it's one game at a time and things can change easily so let's not get too cocky. We're leading by 10 and that's fantastic but with a dozen games to go there are still a lot of points to be played for. If we keep playing like we are then it won't matter too much what they do but I think that claiming 'I told you so' is a bit premature just now. We're not even on the home straight yet but I'd rather be where we are than where they are. HH.

I'm not getting carried away Bob you're right. The hard work is now. Being at the top is one thing. Getting over the line is something else. Something I always knew our team had the advantage in. We are winners. They are not. After a couple of pretty humiliating performances against them we've went away had a break come back and changed things and look hungrier and our football has an intensity nobody else's does. At a time when I thought we were going to drop a few points here and there. The Rangers on the other hand seemed to think it was won after one good performance against us. Gerrard has no plan B, and seemingly has thrown his team back under the bus. That scream down the camera after the game against us. So glad that is coming back to bite him in the arse. Reminiscent of his little rallying call whilst playing at Liverpool - before he slipped up with that title too.

13 Feb 2020 12:47:20
There are 7 games to go in the league not a dozen Bob.

Weve lost just 7 points in 26 games this season. We ain't losing 7 points in 7 games.

13 Feb 2020 12:57:59
Kev, we've played 26. Do we not play 38 games in a season? HH.

So couple months ago I said on here that we'd win the league by double points. I was told deluded fans belong over the other side of the city, that my head was buried in the sand and ranger were going to push us to the last game?

As soon as the final whistle went Kev, I thought of what you mentioned.
It was a great prediction at the time and I canโ€™t remember anyone agreeing with you.

Agree1 Disagree0

12 Feb 2020 23:02:00
Not one of those you mention; but I was skeptical of NL's appointment - and although It's not over yet - I have been delighted with our performances, attitude and consistency for the vast majority of the season, with only a very few games where we faltered or failed.

The manager and team deserve enormous credit and gratitude, for the way they have come out the blocks after the break (especially in the league) , playing great stuff and scoring three or more in each game.
The superior class and experience of champions is starting to show.

Agree2 Disagree0

12 Feb 2020 23:02:51
Donโ€™t put me in that bracket Kev ๐Ÿ˜ it was never in doubt ๐Ÿ€.

They really just dined on beating us in that one match. February and already starting to pull out of site. All credit to the team, they seem to want it more๐Ÿ˜.

12 Feb 2020 23:37:37
Myself amongst a few others were always confident that we would win the league by a double point margin. Whether we do is still to be seen but it's looking good. I was called deluded many times by the Tenna bhoys ๐Ÿ˜œ.

Remember there is a facility on this site to look back previous posts! We know who you's are๐Ÿ˜œ Anyway after 3 seasons of panty wetting hysteria at the winter break I would like to think the Tenna bhoys have learned there lesson for next season. don't believe the hype๐Ÿ˜‚.

So we actually officially won the league last night then Kev83? And we won it by 10 points? Brilliant.
I can relax now until August and the Champions League qualifiers. Have a great summer everyone. HH.

Kev - Nostradamus - 83.

It is a wee bit early Muttley to ask Dick Dasterly for a medal yet.

You are not in a minority of one there - I remember the Ed and a few others saying as much when they were close.

Good that you kept the faith though.

Great result tonight and a lot of big performances. Taylor was pushing MOTM for me thought his link up play with McGregor looked good down the left, Calmac adds the pace that Taylor lacks. Good to see we are doing more damage from set pieces now also. Must say Jozo has hardly put a foot wrong since his return from injury too. A good night in all topped off with Kilmarnock doing us a turn. A few tricky games to navigate through now with Europa looming if we can get through those unscathed they may as well hand the trophy over early.

13 Feb 2020 00:53:24
Taylor was superb today. I'm really not a fan of Jozo but I agree he has been solid since his return. Let's hope he can stay injury free until the end of the season.

13 Feb 2020 13:32:29
Agree Bubs I'm not his biggest fan mainly due to him being injured all the time but hats off to him he's looked solid in this 3 at the back formation. Hopefully his last operation is the one that has finally sorted out his issues.

Tonight's results means their destiny is no longer in their own hands and need someone needs to do them a favour.

Obviously too early to start celebrating as anything could happen between now and the end of the season. That being said I would much rather be in our position than theirs.

Agree1 Disagree0

12 Feb 2020 21:55:01
Do you think they can go the rest of the season undefeated? Without us doing them once in the next two old firm games there only hope is the cup and we will probably lift that as well.

12 Feb 2020 22:27:52
I would be surprised if we let this lead slip D&P but past experiences have taught me not to think it is won as anything could happen.

A great piece Ed007, the road to hell is paved in gold.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Two quotes caught my in it as you can apply both to Celtic imo:

"Buying the most expensive players doesnโ€™t automatically generate good sporting results," Manchester City chief executive Ferran Soriano wrote in his book The Ball Doesnโ€™t Go In By Chance. "What does generate those good results is having the best players in your team and paying them the salary they deserve."

And for ex-Southampton Chairman Nicola Cortese:

"I had the money to buy players," Cortese says. "But not the money to keep players."

12 Feb 2020 17:02:42
The pool of clubs with enough money to keep a team of stars happy is shrinking by the season. It's going to end in tears.

Some clubs have become victims of their own avarice - they just won't accept it yet in their pursuit of glory.

Better to run a club like ours where you can manage affairs to a sensible degree.

A storm is a coming for these guys.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Feb 2020 17:50:28
That is a good read Ed. The 'not being able to afford to keep players' bit did stand out for me too. Not just in the sense that richer clubs will cherry pick the league's best players. But also if you pay for a marquee signing, top earner, are you really going to be able to meet their demands for a new, improved contract. Perhaps buying to sell isn't aleays the chosen mechanism of a club, but also something which in truth is forced upon them.

And yes, we are part of this too in the microcosm that is our league.

was watching sly sports today, they can hardly mention glasgow celtic. looks like they have spat oot the dummy. i hope now we tell them were to go. run out the deal with them and hunt the shower of biggots. WE don't NEED THEM, but the sevvies do.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - From the start of next season Sly will become the sole broadcaster of the Scottish Premiership for the next five years.}

12 Feb 2020 12:15:32
aww well ed.5 years to prepare. the newco will be gone by then.

{Ed007's Note - At least they'll be forced to cover our #GoingFor55 season in 23/24.}

12 Feb 2020 13:54:21
We just need to keep racking up the trophies and pissing them off. they're desperate for there beloved slippy to succeed.

12 Feb 2020 14:50:21
They've always been totally biased against Celtic - and pro Sevco; but they seem to have really taken the nip after getting found-out with that Morelos interview with falsely intimidating translation.
The obvious reaction would be for Celtic supporters to cancel their subscription, but with so many unable to attend our matches for various reasons, it's just as satisfying watching them suffer, during one of the most successful and dominant periods of Celtic's history.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Feb 2020 15:24:35
The old club won 115 major honours but Celtic will overtake that record soon because Sevco canโ€™t add to that total.
Celtic have won 109 major honours in total and we have won 17 since Rangers died.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Feb 2020 16:41:04
Even though Iโ€™m a season ticket holder I canโ€™t get up for midweek games etc, I would gladly pay a subscription to Celtic to watch their games that I canโ€™t get to, or cup games where I donโ€™t meet the criteria . I wish there was a way where you could just sign up to watch us ( obviously live ) . I would happily bomb off sky sports and pay the club direct, fed up with their salivating over everything sevco, even down to the creep jim white. Also I have no interest in watching Burnley Bournemouth for example .

When the new deal kicks in are we obligated to media duties with sly? I'm dreading listening to Boyd Commons and Walker so it will be on mute most games. Has Sutton signed with them just for the Euros?
