Looks like everybody's favourite loanee has returned from Rotherham. Do we think he'll be released or given a chance to improve and impress BR? Tbh I don't think there's much hope for him, although I was gobsmacked when GMS was given game time against Man City so you never know.

off to hibs i reckon.

Either way I hope he gets playing again wherever he goes, he's a decent player. A lot of people on this site seem to have a bit of a dislike for him rather than just not thinking he's good enough but at the end of the day it's not his fault we offered him a contract. It was a strange move from the word go and seemed like a Lawwell dig at Sevco more than anything else.

He should be given a free because he just isn't good enough.
He never really was.
Hopefully he will find somewhere to settle and finally show what he has got in his locker but it wouldn't be parkhead.

I tend towards the Lawell dig side of that on the basis of what little I've seen of him. If there is something to him, give him a chance. That said, Rotherham need all the help they can get and have said, ' cheers pal, we're awright' Not a great sign.

He's way down the pecking order behind guys like Henderson and Christie, who can hardly get a game and Bitton, GMS and McGregor - who are on the fringes.
The blunt honesty is - like Commons, Efe and Janko, he is not in the managers plans and although he may be happy to take the wages, he would be better off moving on.

13 Dec 2016 14:10:28
I would loan him to the Sheep or Hearts.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - Why would either of them want him?}

13 Dec 2016 18:48:44
Allen is not good enough for any top half SPL team. He may be able to produce a decent pass but he completely lacks the work rate required to play as. a top SPL player . Every team buys players who are not good enough and Allan is an example of us getting one wrong.

Agree1 Disagree1

13 Dec 2016 22:48:01
Allen isn't celtic quality but I think he could still do a job for most of the spl clubs.

Agree0 Disagree1

15 Dec 2016 22:08:47
Allen is about 26 years of age and has yet to show he can make it in the SPL, so why should he make it as a top 6 player.
From memory he has only played fairly well for Hibs against poorer teams in the Championship .

Getting very close to silly season again, We will be linked with every man and his dog, but my two to watch are James mcclean andConnor hourihane.

I don't see either as a step up Malika bud. Not what I'd be hoping for with BR in and JP gone.

Dear god, thankfully those in charge are more ambitious.

12 Dec 2016 17:18:25
sakho and mccarthy, maybe too ambitious ;)

Agree0 Disagree3

12 Dec 2016 17:51:50
There's better than Sakho for the money imo BW. It will be interesting though. It's pretty clear we've signed players BR is familiar with. KT, SS, DdV he's worked with. Dembele, Gamboa I'm sure he would have been aware of their situations. A new manager signing players he knows is a sensible strategy. Will we see the same again? Will we look slightly further afield but still players BR fancies? Will our scouts have identifued somebody he agrees with? To be honest and fair, I'm not expecting too much in during January, but if we do manage to get one, perhaps two, they need to be better than McClean and Hourihane for me.

Agree1 Disagree3

Don't rate Maclean at all, don't think he'd improve what we have just now.

Aye but it'd be some craic put a right few noses out of joint.

The panty wetters would need new inhalers. Seriously thou much as I admire the lad and how he stands up to the bullies I don't think he would improve the current squad as it is. But who am I to say, got the Armstrong 1 wrong big time.

The most important part of the make-up a player we are seeking to buy, is a player who is genuinely keen in signing for us . Something must click with him to want us, maybe he likes our manager, maybe he likes our stadium and playing in front of 60,000 loud supporting fans on European night .
However if it is the good - looking generous girls maybe that wouldn't be the best of reasons.

They are a total waste of time - and give morons who are too scared to comment a (sense of) voice.

Someone introduced themselves to the site a couple of days ago and people disagreed. Hilarious.

Cue many.

i think folk who hit disagree should be forced to write why they disagree! you have to be logged in nowadays to do it so why not. Get the convo going rather than hit disagree, there's sometimes you come on here and its 0's all the way down then all of a sudden every single post has 1 disagree. oh crap I've given myself away there haven't i?

Agree0 Disagree9

12 Dec 2016 20:11:10
Shug you'll be getting 100 disagrees at this rate.
100 points would be an awesome achievement- totally dominate.

I haven't looked on the dark side page but I'm betting the are all back onboard the overhyped express train.

I read this week that the change of tactics they employed against the jambos was an astute tactical decision and may continue against Hamilton!

Was this not long ball?

they contribute nothing to the banter but for some reason the option still remains. Maybe Ed can enlighten us on what they bring to the table other.

Agree2 Disagree5

{Ed001's Note - it keeps the blerts from spamming every post with one word replies.}

13 Dec 2016 10:54:17
Agree / Disagree - maybe some people can't put into words what they feel and prefer to click a quick response to a post? And maybe some people who post are a wee bit precious about getting a disagree, the ones who think there word is gospel?

Agree4 Disagree2

13 Dec 2016 12:00:34
It's the equivalent of someone snorting, huffing and talking under their breath at the back of a room - but when you ask them what they said, they stare at their feet and say "nuffin".

I'd much rather a healthy debate, especially if someone disagrees with something I've said. A disagree does as much for me as an agree, which is to say not very much.

On a slightly different note, whilst I can understand the (albeit pathetic nature of a) silent disagree, especially in relation to a talking point, I really can't get my head around the type of person who disagrees with an RIP, a welcome, or some such post.

I like the idea suggested above. Ed anyway to bump this and see if 100 diagrees is achievable.

Union Jack . I don't think you would expect any of your posts to be gospel, more anti- gospel .
