What's to stoop Celtic buying a team in England, giving the SPL our 2 year notice play our kids/fringe players in SPL and transferring all our team to team we have bought in England and then in 2 year time we are Glasgow Celtic and have the chance of getting into EPL the money we could generate would be unreal!

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Our ground would have to be in England.UEFA sewed that loophole up........green jhedi

And our name is not Glasgow Celtic.

Haha pat, im not stalking you, Im just researching a Psychological report called The Intrinsic Behaviour Patterns of Modern Day Internet Chat Enjoying Football Supporters. So its not just you. If anything pat i would count you as one of the more stable and well adjusted individuals on this site and other sites..... Timalloy on the other hand is a different matter. My long posts etc are merely a ruse to make all believe i know what I am talking about, I am actually not a football fan at all and much prefer my Polo (horse, water or elephant) I do not intend to cause too much distress I am merely an observer of behaviours :)

does anyone know if there is an administration/liquidation patch for FM2012?.....

Oh wait wrong site.

Timalloy. You are correct on all counts below. However i cannot comment on the whole wee pat thing. I have always been a long winded bampot, and seek to demoralise and depress any audience set before me! wether through inane drivel typed out on a website or boring them to tears with the dreary accent i have trained myself to have.

Limericks no. I go for fully fledged 50 stanza poetry (no suprises thre eh?)

And yes....on data editor u can place a team in administration and also elsewhere u can determine the mount of points they are deducted! had a lot of fun with that feature of late! :-)

i dont see how they can survive we were told they are running with a one million pound shortfall a month . they only have two home games between now and the middle of august , even if they get 100,000 through the gates 84,000 of them are season books which leaves 16,000 paying customers at 20 quid £320,000 for four months , even if they renew their books and thats not a certainty ticketus are due a big lump of that , rather them than us ,bb

Well bhoys just how low do you have to
to stoop before the scottish football
establishment take heed and dole
out the due punishment.No newco
should be allowed into the spl and if
the so called vote goes in favour of
the cheating mob the only scottish
ground i will visit is parkhead at our
home games and hampden for our
cup games. SFA are a disgrace to
integrity and justice.

Believable12 Unbelievable0

SPL Nuge nudge wink wink dont you poor wee rangers worry we will come up with a plan that will keep you in the spl but will try to make it look like we are punishing you at the same time. REFEREES aye bears dont worry about the points deduction we will make sure that you claw back the points deduction. Nae problem bears. Disgusting

Agree12 Disagree0

Celtic will vote in favour of the resolution which will then allow a Newco Rangers back into the SPL.

Agree2 Disagree1

A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory.

Agree8 Disagree0

That's what will happen, spl will say new co rangers can walk into the spl because if they don't then the other clubs will lose money & it means sky get 4 OF game a year too. So take a -10 points for 2 seasons & the refs will help you out in at least making the top 6 so they can be another OF game.

Unless that is Whyte just keeps ibrox does the damage & sells it to cala homes or someone who then make it into something else(hopefully)

Rangers saga is like something out of a play

i see the talk on the dark side today is about boycotting away games , aye right. we all know there will be 8000 of them vandalising celtic park at the end of the month . but do you know whats good about that ,for one game at paradise at £40 a skull they will put more into our pockets than they managed to put into the rff over 6 weeks . brilliant , bb

Anybody know where the "Rules being changed to suit Rangers" comes from? What's on the table for the SPL 30th of April meeting is harsher sanctions/penalties for clubs in administration.

Also, the other 10 clubs have plans to restructure the financing of the SPL with Rangers and Celtic against. An 11-1(?) vote is required, Rangers in the 3rd Division will ensure this goes thru at some point.

Don't know about a bias towards Rangers from the SFA/SPL that may or may not true, but I don't fancy their chances of selling on the TV rights to SKY with no Old Firm games for 3yrs. So while a 'new Rangers' in the 3rd division may be fair, the fallout down to the other SPL clubs is a big unknown.

I just thought I would post a positive comment away from all the negative shenanigans we are seeing so much of. Yesterday evening I had the privilege to watch the Dortmund V Bayern match. I was watching as my Polish Brother in Law recommended me to and told me a couple of the Dortmund boys playing were Polish; as it happens Lewandowski scored the only goal for Dortmund to win the game and probably the league. The game was absolutely outstanding. Its as good a game as I have watched as a neutral in my life. If anyone can see a replay or pick it up later on Eurosport 2 I would thoroughly recommend. Robben had a stinker BTW. An interesting point is that BVB have a wage bill of about 38million and the players on the pitch were outstanding as were the tactics employed by Herr Klopp. Bayern set up the same formation but they have a wage bill of about 100 Million pounds annually! I dont know what CFC wage bill is but we should take Dortmunds lead and see what we can achieve. There were over 80,000 in the stadium so I suppose that helps keep the wolf from the door. The commentary team reminded me BVB nearly went under 6 years ago so what they are achieving now is hard to believe....Sopot Celt PS I always like BVB from Paul Lamberts time with them.

Good post ! Personally I don't follow German football but my mates a schalke fan & he told me about what they done & tbh it's payed off !

From what I heard is from my mate. They got a new manager had little money but rather buy players spend that money on the staff & coaching stuff etc but the downside would be they won't win the league or for that matter might even find it hard to stay up. So after a couple of years they brought through a load of youngsters & 4 years later look at them now ?

Everyone says EPL is the best league in the world but when you watch/read about German football it's always a sell out & over the last 8 years 4 different teams have one the league. The thing I like about German football is its 500euros for a season ticket but that gets you to & from the game via train/tram.

If rangers go under & the sky deal goes out the window I wish wish wish Celtic would try this idea & bring through all/most of there youngsters (witch to be fair they are doing just now a bit) & give the spl more of a open race. Again back hander everyone else in the spl is skint just about lol

*all the above is just what a mate of mine told me so don't know if that's how it was done word for word but think that's the rough story*

lenny {Ed007's Note - I watch a lot of German football and have kept an eye on Dortmund since Murdo MacLeod left us to go over there (yes I am that old). I have been over a few times for BVB and St Pauli games as well, the standard of the league and the technical ability of the majority of players is excellent. Keep an eye out for BVB's 19 years old Mario Gotze and their Japanese AM Shinji Kagawa, both are fantastic players. I would recommend the German league to anyone looking to watch a good football match.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers for the insight Ed. I was amazed at the standard I have to admit it. For me the EPL is just too powerful, the Spanish league is too technical if that makes sense, and the Italians are slow and boring.. but that match last evening was just unbelievable. If German football is like that week in and week out I think I will consider following BVB and moving to Germany! {Ed007's Note - Italian football bores me to death and is so corrupt that I just can't take it serious at all. I do enjoy watching La Liga and have a soft spot for Real Madrid. I can sit and watch any German match though, the Bundesliga is the best league in the world IMHO, I am glad that ESPN are showing it, the vast majority of games are worth watching.}

Not sure if this has been suggested before, is there any reason why someone from outside of Scotland couldn't run the game for a short term? There's a gentleman here in Australia by the name of John O'Neill. Everywhere this man goes, things get fixed. He has experience working with Football Australia, walked in with almost no knowledge of the game, and revolutionized the sport and how it is run in my country. I'm sure there are many John O'Neill's out there who could do a great service to our game, without pressure of favoritism. Sometimes the outsider looking in can see more than those who dwell within.

Thats what Regan (or was it Doncaster i get those 2 mixed up all the time) was meant to be with his Cricket background. So far so good on that one (intended sarcastically)

Evinguu

Agree0 Disagree0

Regan and Doncaster are now fully paid up members of the establishment.

Agree6 Disagree0

Regan and Doncaster I fully agree are the establishment. It would be nice to see some Scots in key positions but is it that we cant trust ourselves?? Moving on they both appear to be primarily political animals and what I like to term survivors. That is they are not there for what they can offer in expertise, rather they are there and got the job because they are political people and know how to deflect blame, muddy the waters appear to be be making progress when in fact they hinder progress more often than not. This is due to the fact that they dont know what they are doing. They are survivors because above all they hang onto the job and position at all costs. People of that ilk do not care if they are doing a good job or whether they make any progress. They are basically professional bull ******** and are in supervisory and managerial positions in every walk of life and industry. What we need are technicians and professionals who can do the job, such people dont care for gloss and fancy words, instead they care only about achieving the objective and getting the job done. As such they are not survivors and have no agenda except to achieve whatever they set out to achieve. If they get too much BS from above they generally walk (quite rightly) as they are in demand the world over and dont need to hide behind an office title. The survivors think they have made it when they get the big job and that's part of the problem, incidenatally what age is Doncaster ? He appears to have the confidence of a man who can predict the future and that is always worrying particularly in such an inexperienced fellow. As for Regan after a relatively good start he reverted to type and is only interested in covering his ar** and keeping his job. We do need a different type running things but I cant ever see that happening in this country.

Agree2 Disagree0

And Regan is even less qualified and experienced to be in such a position in Scottish Football. A brewery boss and a cricket executive....scandalous!!! Sopot Celt

Can someone please clarify because all this accountancy talk is going over my head. If they eventually decide on a Insolvency Transfer Event (i.e. transfers its share in the SPL to a new company, does this mean that they are effectively a new company or not?, and does this mean they lose their current history etc...puzzled
