Sensational

Part of me wonders whether we should have given some to the EPL. as they are losing 100m a month and the chief execs are really suffering.

Anybody got any news on the status of Leigh Griffiths, Tom Rogic, Mikey Johnstone.
It seems very quiet that 2 senior players and one prospect are not mentioned much, even on injury updates.
Any hope for LG and TR to return?

Malika
Lennon mentioned today that Rogic started full training this morning and that Griffiths isn’t far away from being involved in the team.
I think Mikey started light training a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks Buzz, I am especially pleased to hear about LG, he is a major goalscorer and both him and TR are great Skelpers,

LG trained with 1st team today. I'm sure you've all seen big duffy peg him.

Guys, I've said it a thousand times, if (and it's a big if) we can get Griff firing on all cylinders then he will outscore French Eddy. He is his own worst enemy, a flawed genius, but if he's prepared to play just one more tune then we'll do 10iar. HHH.

Anything in the French eddy to arsenal deal lads.
Hope not.
I understand we are a selling club but the amount we want arsenal can afford this, maybe having a friend in Tierney will make it easy for him. And the wages he will be on. What you think. ?
He's young ambitious suppose he has to look after his future self. let's wait and see.

It’s not really big news down south. The big media outlets are not reporting the news.
The speculation will grow arms and legs in our Scottish media.

Resist for a season and we'll earn more as long as he's banging them away.

Have PSG really got 30% sell on? if they have Surely we can’t entertain £22million.

The SPFL have announced the St. Mirren game against Hibs will go ahead tomorrow.
St. Mirren have mentioned they will be without 3 goalkeepers for the game as a precaution.
I’d imagine St. Mirren will let their disapproval about the SPFL decision be known in the press up until Wednesday in the hope the Celtic game gets postponed.

If Fraser Forster or Angus Gunn are available on loan I would take either of them.

Not that I don't have faith in Barkas, I think he will prove to be a decent signing but if he got injured we would be massively short in this area.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

11 Sep 2020 14:25:43
and what would that do to barkas confidence bringing in the keeper who refused to stay at us because he preferd the so called big league to staying at us and making history to find himself out of favour as soon as there season is ready to start and just walks back into our squad when we went and paid 4.5 for barkas to come in as our no 1.

Agree4 Disagree0

11 Sep 2020 16:13:43
So we shouldn't sign another keeper incase it affects Barkas confidence?

Gk was probably our strongest position last year as we had 1 excellent keeper and 2 good keepers at the ready if needed.

Now we have 1 potentially good keeper in Barkas and Bain who I still think is a good keeper, but the position is weaker than it was last season. We should be looking to maintain or strengthen every position each year not weaken it.

Would you go in to the season ahead the the goalies we have?

The fee for Barkas was closer to 3M Euros upfront according to reports and I'm not saying he should lose the gloves if Forster came back. It would be great competition for him and would probably push him to the next level.

I think Forster would have been walking away from something like a £2M contract at Southampton so I totally understand why he chose to stay there. If the door was open I would welcome him back with open arms. Good keepers are hard to find. Barkas has it all to prove and if he fails or gets injured it could be a disaster for us in the season ahead.

I'm sure connor Hazard is a capable number 3 and bain is a good number 2. Think we are finished in our Gk transfers.

11 Sep 2020 20:10:49
think it would be a bit of a slap in the face to barkas del he was signed as our number 1 because our first option refused to stay at us now forster is not needed were he choose to go for him to come back because he is not wanted and barkas dropped would be wrong mate.

According to my records, the following are out of contract at the tail-end of the current season:

Scott Brown
Alexander Okoflex
Karamoko Dembele
Kundai Benyu
Jack Aitchison
Liam Hughes.

It would be interesting to see who is left from the list above after the transfer market is closed if Daniel Church has been freed with a year to go on his contract.

Dan Church has probably thought it was time to move on,
When he can’t get on the bench with 9 subs and he is a left back.

Steno what's happeningwith okoflex mate? I thought he had somethingabout him. Also do you rate luca o'connel, do you think he will break through this season and do you think he could play lwb? Cheerz bud.

11 Sep 2020 21:16:47
Not sure markie about Okoflex to be honest. There's not a lot of playing in the Development League and he can't play competitive games because of it. He's a pretty decent player anyway. Luca Connell will feature more this season once the league's wrapped up. Broony's contract is up at the end of this season and if 10's in the bag I can see him going into coaching. I can also see the likes of Calmac, Forrest and Christie wanting to test themselves elsewhere, so that's Turnbull, Connell and Soro waiting to take over.

A second St. Mirren player has tested positive for C.V. Their goalkeeper was already having to isolate.
I don’t know what will happen to our game on Wednesday now.
St. Mirren wouldn’t say anymore in their statement.

Can't postpone games every time a couple of players test positive BB or we'll never get the season finished. I think PSG had 7 players isolating last night and the game still went ahead. I know they have a far stronger squad but that didn't help them as they lost 1-0 with the likes of Naymar missing.

I didn’t realise PSG had a depleted side due to C.V.
I did notice they had a few star players missing but I thought it was due to them getting extra time off because of their CL exploits.
Two players isn’t much but if St. Mirren end up with seven players out,
I think the SPFL would postpone the game.

they played the Scotland game so there is a precedent.

Not really the same Tim, national teams have a raft of players to call up. I would think if st Mirren have 6-7 players out they would struggle to field a team never mind have subs.

Won't matter, no fans allowed in, and there may be restrictions on travel to jeopardy.
