Did anyone see Lakuka of Belgium tonight? what a player, absolutely un-playable, Chelsea have blundered badly letting him out on loan, he could of been the difference between winning the title and 2nd or 3rd. Stevie

Here ed and fellow tims to get away from the zombie chat which I'm guilty of my self, what's your favorite hoops memory as I'm but a pup mines is larsson's chip in the five one game. let's hear your memories bhoys and ghirls
Thommyj HH {Ed007's Note - Mine would be a toss-up between wining the league at Love Street in 1986 or beating St Johnstone to stop Rangers 10 in a row in '98. There are loads though that stand out in my mind, including the Centenary Double, the Joe Miller cup final in '89, the 5-1 and 6-2 against Rangers, beating LFC in the 2003 UEFA Cup, the 1995 SC final etc etc. When you think back you realise how lucky you are to support a club that has given us all so many happy memories, no matter what age you are.}

There I go again that was the 6-2 game the 5-1 game was when he made braveheart look silly
HHThommyj

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yeah ed stopping ten in a row I don't think my finger nails have recovered
I was actually at lochburn rd watchin maryhill that day and my memory is the crowd and the players were static too a man waiting and listening for the result it was very uncanny
great times
HHThommyj {Ed007's Note - I was 24 in '98. In the years prior to that it felt that we would never win the league again.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Mine is Jimmy Johnstone, dribbling down the wing, and ripping St Etiene apart, 5-1, I think.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wee joe's cup final wis that no the bears ahmm quick throw in eh?
See we have all the memories but keep an eye on them because their worth the watchin because they take the pi$$ if unobserved
HH T

Agree0 Disagree0

Soon as a read your post the memory that jumped to mind was Tommy Burns running down the park after the penalty shoot out and jumping on tae the pile up think it was Spartak Moscow (not sure that many moscows) Think he was doing what everybody in the stadium wanted to do. Larsson goal in 6-2 greatest goal av seen.
Sure is gods country Maryhill HHThommy

Winning the league at love street unbelievable run to clinch it on the last day of season . hearing through the radio that dundee had scored the whole place erupted .also sweet to see the wee people faces on tv later on that night oh the joys mm

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye the Joe Miller goal that was rangers throw in in the lead up, not bad for a team that never gets anything off the referees?

Agree0 Disagree0

Was Red Star Jinky shredded 5 1, but they were in good company. His performance at Leeds was out of this world. For an 'oldie; Lisbon has to me my best moment.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah Wim Jansen stopped the ten in a row but why did we only get a season from him? I recall Gerry McNee on TV Telling Celtic fans an RFC nine and ten didn't mean anything it wasn't important it's just another title. Disingenuous f*dd. doing his bit for the RFC cause.

Agree0 Disagree0

@6 a don't think any celtic fan has ever said we have never had any! Decisions. For refs and the powers at be to do that would make it blatant and am pretty sure not all refs show bias but a fair few growing up in this country would favour a certain dead club over a club with a lot of Irish catholic connection

Boavista away for me I paid 390 euro for a day trip we set out at 2am from carlow to belfast on a near 3 hour drive on a rickety mini bus 13 of us we then flew to oporto. Had a great day with the travelling army then the game will stay with me forever henriks goal even now seems in slow motion.we nearly fell out over the stand when it went in.Grown men in tears after it me included.We sang the classic they'll be watching the bill when we're in seville for 15 mins solid.Back to airport and the team came in as we waited in departures it was bedlam and we still had the 3 hour drive to carlow when we got back to belfast.The things we do for our wonderful football club.

League cup final march 2009. 0-0 at full time and my new born son (10 days old) was stirring. I pulled him out of his cot and brought him out to the lounge for his first derby. We scored 30 seconds later. I still think to this day he woke up to see it, like he knew it was about to happen. Brilliant!

@2, I remember that as well, best I'd seen, it was against St Etienne, I thought it was 5-1 aswell, but it might have been 4-1.

Celtic beat St Etienne 4-0 (1st round, 2nd leg)and Red Star Belgrade 5-1 (2ND ROUND, 1ST LEG)in 1968.

Well that's 2 posts of mine not been put up. What is it ed? You don't like me criticising the fascination of rangers on the Celtic page? This place is getting as bad as the people side and tbh the amount of talk about that terrible football team on our page is crazy. Take a look down our page and see how many threads are actually about Celtic. The rangers fans are right. You people are obsessed with them. I figure this won't be posted either which won't really Suprise me. My last post was about Sammy and barcalona. Maybe you would have posted it had it been about Ali mccoist and rangers.

Darrenbhoy {Ed007's Note - I have no idea what you are talking about, this is the only post from you that is in our database. Do you realise the irony of you moaning about The Rangers/Sevco/Newclub is just you talking about them as well? You are starting a new thread talking about exactly the same thing you are girning about.
I assume it is ok by you to post a thread about The Rangers/Sevco/Newclub as long at it's you who sends it in then, like this one?
I can only post up what is sent in, so instead of whining about it why not start a thread about something CFC related? And if you don't like reading about something then don't read it, it really is that simple.
If you leave an e-mail address I will run all the posts past you in future to make sure they meet with your approval.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Is Darren Bill McMurdo's mole sent to infiltrate you Ed?
CBP {Ed007's Note - Lol, who knows...the plot thickens...}

Agree0 Disagree0

The post isn't talking about the rangers the post is talking about celtic fans who look obsessed with rangers, a would say that's different than directly talking about the goings on over there.
A was told the same when a tried to point it out. A think we should be aloud to talk about what ever we want freedom of speech and all that, but why would we want! to talk about them all the time the Op is rite the page is always full of it. A got annoyed because we wer playing the sat and there was no mention of the game on the page that day just about them.
A will say even if you don't agree with me Ed a do get most of posts up {Ed007's Note - I'm sorry but if you post in moaning about the amount of The Rangers/Sevco/Newclub posts then technically your post is about them as well, it's certainly not about CFC is it?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Definitely a difference talking about people who talk about rangers than talking about rangers themselves. And yes it isn't talking about celtic but its still a valid point.

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye that's the mentality on this page, don't like what someone says they are automatically a rangers fan. I love my club and if you read what I wrote you would have seen my gripe is about the lack of Celtic content not about rangers. If ypu ever read any of my other posts they are always Celtic related this is probably the first time I have ever mentioned that lot in a post. Aye ed I can see your point aswell. But I have stayed off this site from the end of the transfer window because all anyone ever wants to talk about is them. I'm actually very offended at being called a mole. Your paranoia is astounding!

Darrenbhoy {Ed007's Note - And all you seem to want to talk about is people talking about them, so what's the difference? I think you will find that CBP was joking about the mole thing, if you are offended by that you should see some of the stuff us Editors get called.}

Agree0 Disagree0

As has been said many times before, if you don't like the content then don't come on moaning about it. Personally I enjoy reading the posts about the zombie nation as they are so deluded, sometimes the only sensible banter is on our site. I've said this before, it's like watching a car crash unfold and being unable to look away.
Hopefully they will die for the second time and stay dead so we can all get on with talking about football. I won't f*****g miss them one bit. {Ed007's Note - Every Scottish football forum is full of threads about The Rangers/Sevco/Newclub and their latest debacle. It is the biggest story in Scottish football since Rangers demise and liquidation.
I say it again and again, I can only post up what people send in, and I would like to think that I am fair. I have no problem with people disagreeing with my opinions on things, it would be a boring forum if we all agreed with each other.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Who is this Ed. Is he a fit and proper person? . TTTS

Agree0 Disagree0

Other fans are not obsessed with New Rangers, it's the corruption, lies, dishonesty, etc. Particularly by the very organizations charged with protecting the game and businesses from such things that bothers people.

Agree0 Disagree0

Big Rab why can't you moan about the content if you don't like it? Seems the most obvious thing to do.
A like to read the odd thing about them but its not the odd thing it's most of the posts. Would rather talk about Celtic specially on match days.

Agree0 Disagree0

The original post does realise this is being talked about in the banter section doesn't he.
That's all it is, banter to wind up the trolls / un-dead / etc

ED007 regarding leaving an email so all future posts/threads can be vetted. My colleague wee Pat and I would be happy to leave our email address, also wee Pat says he would like to choose all further topics for discussion if you are brave enough. Timalloy
PS Darrenbhoy there you are son a post without mentioning Sevco (Oh bother. ) lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Its probably because most of us celtic fans are and should maybe don't know about the word obsessed but, I hated rankers(for evrything they stood for)nearly as much as I love my club(and I know that sound terrible and probs ain't healthy but, hey)Its healthy to be keeping an eye on them new cheats. And the reason we talk about them is that our club is running very well. For example if we weren't to care about the goings on with sevco then this little country would be split in half bending over for them(sfa) . We speak of them because we don't want em back, ., .kbarry

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets keep an eye on them, they saying goes "keep your friends close, but your enemies. , ., .kbarry

Agree0 Disagree0

Darrenbhoy never let them forget, they are a new team, the only way to do this is to keep reminding them on these pages, the ED from their side very seldom let's you remind them of this, ie it was the company that went bust not the football team, they believe it and want us to believe it, if it's said often enough without being contradicted, the whole country will then believe they are the same team, so in my opinion we keep up the stance, THEY ARE A NEW TEAM

think wee sneaky at it again claiming it was his decision but saying I can understand people being suspicious of the board wanting the game called off against Dunfermline again mentions he feels for the fans again

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Does it matter who wanted the game postponed? Players are on international duty so the club is entitled to have the game postponed.

Agree0 Disagree0

It matters if sneaky is being disingenuous as usual.

Point is sneaky is in it for himself but is tripping himself up more as the days go by

Ed what is Peter Lawells position with the SPFL? Does he have a say on on all things regarding the game in Scotland? Is he on a board with Ogilvie, Ragan, DoncasterAnd others?
If so he has a say on The Rangers, new club old club and fit and proper persons {Ed007's Note - The SFA board consists of seven members:
Office Bearers (Stewart Regan, Chief Executive; Campbell Ogilvie, President; Alan McRae,
First Vice-President, and Rod Petrie, Second Vice-President)
Ralph Topping (SPL), Tom Johnston (Junior FA) and Barrie Jackson, who is the Scottish FA’s first-ever independent non-executive director.

This board is supplemented by two other boards,
The Professional Game Board and the Non-Professional Game Board. PL is a member of the PGB along with:
Chairman: Rod Petrie (Scottish FA)
Members: Jim Ballantyne (SFL), Neil Doncaster (SPL), David Longmuir (SFL), Alan McRae (Scottish FA), Campbell Ogilvie (Scottish FA), Stewart Regan (Scottish FA), Sandy Stables (SHFL) and Ralph Topping (SPL).
If I am honest it just basically stinks of jobs for the boys to me, I couldn't even begin to guess what each individuals remit or role involves, sorry. According to the SFA website though:

'The Board will focus on matters of corporate strategy and top-line decision-making and, in 2015, will have an additional independent non-executive director to replace the Second Vice-President role."

The Non-PGB is made up of various members from both the above names and people from amateur and schools football.

PL will have an input on matters concerning The Rangers/Sevco/Newco but all the Ork-peddled 'Unseen Fenian Hand' where PL runs the SFA, the SPFL, Opus Dei and is a Grand Melloch at Bohemian Grove is just a nonsense. All members get a say, a fair hearing and a vote.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The SFL is defunct, same as old RFC (only took them a season to mess that up also) so there should be zero SFL guys involved in any way in Scottish football. New SPFL guys should hold positions. For instance Longmuir is no longer involved so should no longer hold positions.
