Guys great result today and GIRUY sevvies.
DEFENSE jeezo where do I start, nah feck it I won't go there, needless to say for me our defense now should be Ralston, Hendry, Ajer, KT.
Young to say the least but throw in an experienced player now and again to help.
Yes they will make mistakes but let them grow together and see what happens, can't be worse than it is now and all are comfortable on the ball too.

Rayman, I could have played better than Boyata today, bearing in mind I'm nearly eighteen stone and by that time was on my 3rd Stella, tucking into a sausage roll and having a dump! Why does our manager not show some faith in our young defenders? They were more than capable of seeing off the Buffalo and Candyass. (or is that Windyass) ?
They brought in Jack Hendry to do a job, let him I say. Boyata getting some stick today but to be fair, may have been rushed back too soon. Jozo on the other hand, has no excuse. Looked shaky up until he was carded off. He could be on his way this summer, he's not looking interested.
Got to say though, our Capitan, El Broony, this guy is becoming legendary in the Hoops. He talks the talk and certainly walks it. By far, the best player in Scotland this season.
Happy with the whole game today, it was one of the better ones and all credit to Zombie FC for trying.

That was a great win, especially with ten men for the second half. They put up a better fight, but as well as laughing our arses off at them, we need to accept they only made a game of it through the complete incompetence of our defence. Both of their goals we gifted.

Rogers, surely now, will address the area of our biggest weakness in the team. It’s not just in Europe they come up short. If we sort that then humiliating defeats in Europe will be a thing of the past and we will be untouchable at home.

I totally believed we would win yesterday. To be caught by a team of journeymen and loanees is unacceptable. Every single time Boyata was involved in any play, our hearts stopped. Simo not much better. Ajer playing right back was a risk too.

Everybody knows our defence can be got at. That’s not on. From mid to front they cannot live with us. We level the playing field by having a defence that takes generosity to eye watering levels. How long will it take for the club to accept money has to be spent on defenders who are ready to go straight into the team?

I thought it would be addressed in January. Yesterday’s defensive blunders should hammer the need home. Hopefully for Brendan, it’s fifth time lucky. It needs to be.

The performance of Broony, again, was a joy to watch. A true Celtic legendary captain. He drove us on, made up for defensive frailties and inspired his team to fight.

Give him a defence behind him and allow him to take his team into the CL with confidence that if we lose, it won’t be self inflicted. He deserves that. We all do. Get it done Brendan.

Ha ha best 49 quid av spent in a long time. Was standing 5 or 6 rows behind Griff, Lustig, Doris, Comper and young Calvin Miller. Griff at the end stood up on the edge of the top tier waving a tricolour. Wish I had a foty of it, sure someone must have. Superb performance from the lads tho, couldn't have scripted it any better, winning with 10 men ha ha and wee Willie Collum trying his best for them. PS any word from Meltdown Timplosion UJ 😱😱😂😂😂😂.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

11 Mar 2018 22:27:31
Would have liked a public condemnation of that little tosser Collum while we won the game despite his best efforts to save them.
It's sour grapes when you blame an 'official' after defeat, but this clown was well out of order all second half with biased and wrong decisions a-plenty and we still too good for that cheating rat.
Let the people sing.

Agree4 Disagree1

11 Mar 2018 22:33:06
Actually thought Collum had a great game. Could easily have blown for a free kick on brown but played advantage and Moussa scored. It was the linesman who gave the red, which in fairness probably was one. If Alves had done the same to Moussa we would have been screaming for a red.

Agree2 Disagree6

11 Mar 2018 22:42:12
It was a red all day long. If it had been alves on dembele wed have been going mental.
But after the red a Celtic man could not go near a blue shirt because Collum blew for a foul almost everytime.

Agree2 Disagree1

11 Mar 2018 22:59:15
OAB agree entirely.
Ref was shocking, had a great game?
So Declan johns tackle in first 5 minutes on Forrest no booking.
Declan John tackle on Roguc through two footed with studs up - not even a foul.
Albee kicks out at Edourd, not even a word.

Ntcham booked for running by. Bain for time wasting. Dembele for going up for a header?

Sending off was hash even the plum Walker said very harsh. Looking at ball the full time.

Celtic showed why we are champions and our manager showed the belief in the team and the Celtic ethos - attach is best for of defence.

Agree3 Disagree1

11 Mar 2018 23:02:01
I remember Declan John slide tackling Rogic, who luckily jumped out the way before impact.

He slid in with "excessive force", boot raised off the ground and studs showing. This was a red card all day long but we didn't even get a free kick.

Winning goal from our on loan striker is further evidence that we may lay out the 7m fee for his permanent transfer. For me there is a step up in class. Ntcham at 4m also shows we are moving into a higher market with higher stakes but potentially higher rewards.
Such signings, with our manager and coaching staff there to develop them are the way forward.
So what now? . Not a punt at 7m but a thought out plan. The good work began by putting the option with us.
Well done Celtic, the futures bright, the future's green and white.

A really good shout that.

Agree1 Disagree0

11 Mar 2018 22:17:02
He would be a good signing for me. Somebody suggested on here we just enquire about another loan season. I know PSG need to sell players but it could still be a possibility as I doubt 7m would be a tip of the iceberg. There's no harm in asking and it would give us another year to be extra sure about the idea of a permanent deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Mar 2018 22:30:22
The guy has had very limited opportunities and has made a great impact when involved; whereas Roberts seems to be well out of favour, under BR and it is well worth an enquiry as he has earned it.

Agree0 Disagree2

12 Mar 2018 12:01:47
super result and a good game of footy as they say.
Would like to think BR has Eduardo in his plans and maybe shrewd enough to get him for less that 7, but definitely take him.

Don't know how the young boy does it, but finds space, and with less back lift finds that shot and target with power, and can only get better. He young, sharp, and fast. (like me ) .
We have players to win this league (easy) , next step is the CL/ EL. Summer transfer will be interesting and i hope BR gets his wish list. We have the makings of a CL/ EL team.

Great win today.

Thought Bain, Tierney, Ajer were solid at the back.

Rogic could be world class if he could sort fitness. His touch, close control and ability to score in the big games are fantastic.

Brown and Ntcham, dynamos!

Thought dembele lacked a first touch at the start of the game then found his confidence after the goal. His flick for Calum in the second half was a tremendous bit of skill.

On Sevco, Candeias and Docherty are the only two I thought had a bit about them. How John was still on the park after his tackle on Forrest then Rogic - no even a word for the latter. Foderingham had a great save from Calum part from that a team of very average players Celtic made look good through mistakes.

Referee was shocking as his loyalist Lino shouldn't be allowed to officiate a game like this again. Jozo never once looked at Morelos but straight red? Booking at best, even Jozo's positioning after the ball he's moving away from him - no intent. The bookings for Dembele, Bain and Ntcham all shocking when salves kicks out at Odsonne and not even a word.

Overall delighted with the win but makes the semi even more important the powers at be and the zombies will be doing everything to stop the double treble!

Hail hail! 🍀🍀.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

11 Mar 2018 20:45:31
Kez: they will wait to see how many games we win before the split, this is so the can then arrange the last Gers game at CP in a way that we can't win the title against them at home.
with that in mind it could be the 1st game after the split, unless we or they loose a game.

I think 14 versus 10 is a bit unfair (ref, main stand linesman and Boyata) but we still pumped them, 😀. Was reading that the last Celtic v Rangers game in the league will be 22nd April, which is the first game after the split.

The good news is we can win the league that day :D

To be able to win the league that day we need to win our game in hand and then match Rangers' results each week for all the games before the split. We then need to beat them on the 22nd.

It is possible we can win before then if they slip up and we don't.

Also thought young Hendry did really well when he came on. Hopefully he will get a run in the team between now and the end of the season, him and big Ajer could be very big players for us in the future.

So we were there for the taking. The sevco frontmen would be too much. Doherty will sort out Broony. They will kill us on the wings. to every sevco leaning reporter, tabloid and radio, to all the heartbreakingly confident sevconians.

HOWS THAT WORKIN FOR YOU!

A gift goal. A deflection for the second. A man sent off. a referee who, second half especially, seemed to be hell bent on not allowing us to tackle. Jeeze, what more do they want?

But it would be ridiculous not to focus on the positives. BAIN. pretty good and better withe ball at his feet than i thought. And comes for crosses! Big save.

AJER. Became a man today big Kris. Not since Kennedy have we had such a prospect at CH.

BOYATA.

JOZO. Stupid.

KT. What a Bhoy. This kid is living the dream.

Forrest. Great job shutting them down wide allowing us to run the midfield.

ROGIC. got to love the thunder from Down Under. Big goal player.

Ollie Bhoy. Too cool for school and taught them how to operate in a busy game.

BROONY. Becoming one of the best Captains in our history. Strolled it. Ran it.

CAL MAC. Really disciplined display. Like Jamesy was working the line denying space.

Moussa. Seen him play better, but a brilliant run and finish, and the pass to ODDS ON was McStay in it's precision. And what a finish.

I posted in the week that good teams choke challengers. We did that and more. We choked a crowd. They fancied it, the early goal lifted them, but we played, and played. Like we can do.

A lot said about murty, who i thought was very dignified in the pressers, but BR gave him a lesson. Down to ten men. No problem we stick a forward player on.

One of the best EVER displays i have seen there going back fifty years.

Some excellent performers for the hoops today.

Rogic - oozes that special something, dancing his way out of the tightest of situations, a born entertainer and so elegant on the ball.

Tierney - committed to the cause above and beyond the call of duty. Equally at home going forward as he is at the back. A better full back than Robertson who is getting rave reviews at Liverpool. Blessed to have him.

Brown - what can you say that hasn't already been said? We would have lost that today without him. Simply wouldn't let the team buckle when down to 10.

Dembele - Looks like it was the injuries all along. He's starting to once more look like the top class striker we all know he is.

Ntcham - flying under the radar a bit is this bhoy. What a player we have in this fella! Never looks phased. Take care of the ball beautifully. As good, if not better, than Wanyama in the fullness of time.

That wasn't just a victory for Celtic today. That was a victory for everything that is good and proper. The way in which they went about chopping us down and pulling us back at every chance, and the way in which they were almost encouraged to by the officials, is embarrassing. Quite how it was US that seen a red, I'll just leave it there actually. Let the football do the talking. To go there and win 12 v 10 shows why we're champs. And when they had the man advantage, and might actually have to play football, looked lost. Brown was immense. McGregor not far behind. Bain was an inspired selection. And Edouarde was a fantastic substitution by BR. Great goal for him by the way, he's got his critics on here, whereas I think he looks a cracking prospect and would gladly pay 7m. Moussa showed why he's actually worth the Dembele Dollars that weird wee Buffalo fella isn't. Three times I've watched Morelos play now. Not a very good finisher is he? Not a vintage performance, but a classic game and one which tastes pretty sweet. In the words of Ian Crocker, just keep your distance. 🖕.

Edouard's combination of power and panache is mouth watering VT. He can spray a pass too. As that boy starts to fine tune his game I think we'll have one hell of a player on our hands. Bain seemed incredibly calm in situations. That sort of figure will do the entire defence wonders.

11 Mar 2018 16:19:25
This is how I would sum things up:

1. We moved from 2nd gear to 3rd gear today.

2. Boyata was a bomb scare and gifted them numerous opportunities.

3. We were away from home, playing in a hostile/ violent environment.

4. Played 1/ 3 of the match with 10 men.

5. Played 90 minutes against 12 men.

6. Had both our main keepers injured and had to rely on a rookie.

7. Played against the most offensive and in form team in the country (allegedly) .

8. Had to endure assault after assault to our players.

9. Played against a team performing at their optimum level.

Yet, despite all this we still managed to emerge "victorious". So I feel "happy and glorious". Therefore, it looks we will "long reign over" them. ;)

A game with that many talking points was good to watch even for a neutral. Rodgers made a huge mistake by playing Boyata. Big Jack should have started before Jozo and Boyata! The officials played their part with baffling decisions time after time for that lot. As soon as MD or Ntcham touched the ball Golum had the whistle blown.

So satisfyingly silencing the natives and the media with 10 men and the officials helping hands. . This was an emotional game as my brother passed away a few days ago and not having him on days like today is hard to take but the wee man better watch out up there with the Tourettes kicking in. HH.

I would agree. Tiereny look totally done in. didn't help all their attacks were going down the right and he had to basically mark two men. Now the leagues done we are 2 games away from b2b trebles. Thought wee made hard work of the win today with stupid mistakes, surely Rodgers has got to get the defence sorted out soon, this game would have been a stroll if wee had a decent right back and 2 decent centre half's. have to give credit to the rest of the team though as they all did a good job, special mention to brown nitcham and McGregor who I thought was outstanding today.

Well it's off to the pub to celebrate another league tittle☘️☘️☘️☘️.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Mar 2018 15:38:29
Think when we had to play with an untested goalkeeper, it was risky to bring Boyata into a back three as he and Ajer struggled one-on-one leaving Simunovic exposed as well.
Boyata was a bag of nerves and although he made goal-costing mistakes, he gets some credit for seeing out the game as I seem to recall him going off 'injured' in a similar situation previously?
The reliance on the brilliant KT to mount attacks and the absence of a recognized right back was always going to leave gaps, but the stupid mistakes have got to stop and BR will act in the summer to bring in the quality that we have lacked for too long.

When we gave them the initiative, it showed great character and class to get right back into the game (twice) and even when wee scunner Collum started his nonsense we were too strong and experienced to let his influence detract from a great victory.

Ntcham and Brown were immense and McGregor had a storming second half. Moussa, Rogic and Edouarde, delivered very special goals and the organisation and cover when we were reduced to 10 was brilliant; whereas their begged, or borrowed journeymen ran out of steam, ideas and any belief that they are any closer than before.

Horrendous start and some terrible defending - but came back very well with two special goals. Wee bit disappointed with Forrest and McGregor too, but the latter really got going second half.
Brown, Ntcham, KT and Moussa ran their guts out all game and Rogic provided some neat touches, but was out-muscled too often.
Collum clearly got his orders at HT and most of his decisions and yellow cards were ridiculous at best and disgraceful at worst.
Three pieces of individual magic decided the game. However -
Apparently, this is 'simply the best' Sevco can do and they are still short of the mark, even with our current defensive problems, and very benevolent match officials and the killer is that we will get even stronger in the summer.

Last season was one like no other. To go unbeaten and win a treble was, in my opinion, the holy grail of domestic football. There was always going to be a lull in momentum, more so given tying in CL and Europa fixtures, but if we are honest we have not fired on all cylinders consistently.

Aberdeen away was our best domestically, Zenit home and Anderlecht away in Europe, and we have not really reached those heights. The players will know this, as will the coaching staff. So what a chance to silence the detractors.

Sevco have been on a run, nothing spectacular but a run nonetheless, and they have their tails up. We have been plagued with disruptions, mainly injuries and getting players game time, and as such we are not flowing like last year. But today is different.

Sevco have to come on to us, the crowd will demand it. The press, who i'm sure will also demand it, are licking their lips. They 'sense' change is coming and have been punting this for a fortnight. We will not have to be patient here criss crossing the pitch to find space, it will be there. And we have players who van exploit it.

So pull on that shirt, follow Broony into battle and let's shut a few people up and dampen the noise for the cup semi. All we ask is 100% and blood spilled if need be.

THIS IS WHAT IT FEELS TO BE CELTIC. go and take it.

I am confident that our players will be fired up for today as they will want to prove that they are the best and Brown and Tierney will drive them on at Ibrox.

However, the thing that gives me most confidence today is that Dembele looks fit and is starting to hit form. If he plays to his best the Rangers defence will not be able to cope with him.
