I didn't think mulgrew and johannsson worked in a 433

Never saw the game 2night but I would have question marks over commons, stokes, kayal and mulgrew. I think Henderson and mc geoch should be starting the game. Full of energy and not players to complain when things aren't going there way
Anyone know what's the story with watt cause as a striker with possibly Griffiths and pukki either side we would create plenty of chances and full of pace up there aswel

I reckon RD’s team will setup as a 4-3-3 on Tuesday and the starting XI will be:
GK: Forster
RB: Lustig
CB: van Dijk
CB: Mulgrew
LB: Izaguirre
RM: Henderson or McGeouch
CM: Johansen
LM: Commons
RW: Stokes or Griffiths
FW: Pukki
LW: Boerrigter

Keegan you mention players that don't complain then you mention Watt?
Stokes will be POTY this year and possible captain

Mulgrew captain? Ok. Ambitious indeed.Apart from contributing to Glasgow's hairdressing community he offers little. I'd assume if our new manager is the genius that some think, Charlie will have a short shift even taking his "I can play in any position" grovelling tabloid outburst into consideration.

I'd start - Forster
Mathew lustig VVD izzy
Biton johanson

Griffiths pukki stokes
Give big effe a chance to get some training in. formation 4-5-1/ 4-3-3 counter.

0-0 ft only positive, oconnell played well again and nobody injured, it will be a indication of what rd is going to give us with his team selection in iceland , hopefully not tonights as this was lennons usual team trying to play 4-3-3 and not very well, I hope the good performers on the tour aren't going to be overlooked for the old guard .

That game was gash disappointed dylan mcgeouch never got some time he's been really good for as much as I have seen so far on another note anyone know what the script is with Rogic I was hoping with deila coming in he would be one of the ones to come in and get more game time but not even seen him.

{Ed007's Note - Rogic is still recovering from injury.}
I thought the boy had a bit of promise, I know he got injured but any ideas how he was getting on in oz before the injury?

Well that was horrible!never controlled the game barely created a chance and just played horribly! Let's hope something gets sorted before this CL qualifier.

That wasn't good enough, our midfield and attack tonight couldn't handle the quick passing game .
At the end of the day it was just a pre - season friendly but I wouldn't like the DUP to get one over us.

0-0, sloppy, not very good watching, some pluses on tour so far but one big worry is that commons looks out of place in a 4-3-3

It is horrible watching! Not seeing any of this game control passing! Long ball clearances hoping for a better second half.

For any Lanarkshire bhoys/ghirls, or those of you looking for a wee afternoon out next weekend - Celtic's U20's are playing Lowland League team EKFC* up at K Park (Calderglen Country Park, East Kilbride) on Sat 19th July at 3pm. Tickets are £6 for adults and £2 for concessions, can be picked up from Legends bar in the Village!
* This is the club that were launched by John Hartson and John Brown a few years ago. Their ground is relatively wee, 400 standing or something.

Ed, do you think there's a possibility Sammy may return to the fold?
And if he does, would it be a good thing?

{Ed007's Note - I can't see it happening.}
I'd love to see it happen, but agree it's unlikely!

I think it's time for Sammy to have a clean break he did well n Europe for us but was too Inconsistant for us most of the time! Maybe another league may suit him better but I'd rather we tried someone new.
Agree0

Very unlikely . I liked him when he was with us but far too inconsistent .

I disliked him but would have him ahead of derk

Just seen today's DR lying in the canteen at work and had a quick glance at the back of it, Sampdoria want Sammy. Good move for him if he went to Italy, the slower style would suit him!

Morning ed, what a lovely hot Friday it is, am just really buzzing cause I stop the day for a month ( sorry if nobody's on holiday ) anyway back to football .
Broony will be missed badly for champions league games ( as proved last year )
But surely this must now give big Briton a chance to step in rather than kayal, as I think we have enough diggers in midfield, would love to see the big guy as playmaker as I thought last year he really came on to a game after playing 4/5 games on the trot, think we need a player who can make that pass & would love big Briton in there, don't know if anybody would agree but that's my thinking
Transfers . If possible spend the dish & bring in forward & central defender that's all we r missing as Matthews can cover for izzy as can Charlie, we have plenty in midfield but a bit of talent up top would be a great addition .
Today's poll . don't think Ronnie is bringing in the young bhoys to sell, think maybe he will give youth a chance but at the end of the day it's titles & cups he needs, not £ in kitty

I stop for a month 2 wks today. Can't wait!
I don't think Broony will be missed as much this year as last based on the new managers style.
I assume you mean Nir Biton and not Gerry Britton lol?! I think this season we'll see CM strengthened by the fringe and youth players - Biton, Rogic, McGregor, McGeouch, Henderson, etc. It's make or break time for some!
Same goes for the strikers, I'm sure there'll be plenty chances to claim their stake - Balde, Fridjonsson, Watt, Atajic and so on!
Agree with you on the last point, we need players not money. Money may bring financial success, but it doesn't bring football trophies and we are after all a football club!
Agree0
Disagree0
What we need and what we will get are two totally different things as usual! But I think we need another lb, cm, wingers cb, and a cf but some of these positions may be filled by Ronnie's emphasis on using existing use but we do need strengthening in these areas from last years squad.
