What do we make of Kennedys comments on Klimala? Pretty much said he came from a weak league, needs to work on all aspects of his game but we will work hard to improve him. I know £3.5m is small change nowadays but for us it's still a decent outlay. Hopefully he will be a quick learner.

I think Klimala is a good addition to the squad, in the minutes he's had I've seen enough to see he's got pace and seems an intelligent player. Not easy conditions on Sunday for someone to make their starting debut but thought he done alright.

Hope he comes good but first impressions are a bit meh. If he flops he'll join a long list. The amount of money we've wasted on centre forwards over the past 10 years is staggering.

I remember Larssons first game when his passback lead to a jobs goal if memory serves me right. I thought what have we signed here lol. Made to eat my words on that one. Difficult conditions although his first touch didn't look great. But he deserves a little more time😁.

He has pace and good movement so the final bit is finishing which he'll be working on every day. the boy needs time.

If he would have took his chance on Sunday people would be saying he had a solid debut, I thought some of his touches and runs were good. I noticed he made quite a few runs in behind but we went sideways with a pass to move them around a bit. I’m in the camp of give him time, I think he could work out ok. Doesn’t look like he’s going to turn into an “eddy or moose “ but he’s no Amido Balde.

Riordan, Cifcti, Scepovic, Bangura, Balde, Pukki, and Daryl Murphy are just a few of the players that really struggled to make the grade and at present the jury is out on Bayo; then you have the likes of Hooper, Skippy, Sammy, JVOH, Stokes, Griff, Dembele and Eddy, to name a handful that went on to have a significant spell of success and scored plenty of goals.

It's always a bit hit and miss whether the player adapts to the environment, culture, demands and expectations of the jersey and of course the ability and attitude have to be spot-on and that is where the scouting and recruitment is so important.
As always, anyone who chooses to join us will get every support; Right?

I wasnt Sammy's biggest fan CM but on his day he was unplayable. Was either brilliant or really bad. One game that sticks out for the latter was a Semi Final loss against Ross County I think it was. If I had a gun that day I think I would of used it on him 😜.

Big Sammi was an ignigma. If someone put together a YouTube video of his highlights he'd look world class. Unplayable on his day just didn't do it anywhere near often enough.

No matter what happens the Boo Boys will be moaning and groaning at every missed shot or pass.

You could put Sammy and Paddy McCourt in the same bracket tons of ability but lacking in work ethic and desire.

I'm worried about Jullien getting bullied by Boyce tomorrow night. I'd put Jozo at the middle of the 3 against him, that way if they want to target Jullien they'll need to be consistently wide of goal.

We should have signed Boyce.

11 Feb 2020 21:18:41
Better putting ajer in the middle. He isn't suited to playing the left of 3. Only uses his right foot. Stronger and more physical than both jozo and jullien.

Julien has handled bigger and better players than Boyce jeez.

It's true we have more footballers that 'stoppers' in our defense and we have struggled against bustling/ bullying forwards before, but we don't lose that many goals and more than make up for it with so many attacking options that cause bigger, hardier defenders more problems.

Yeah and he's also been bullied by worse players Mally, so if he's struggled against physical forwards previously why not utilise him differently tomorrow night when Jozo can cover? That would kill two birds with one stone since Motherwell targeted Jozo down the left because of his lack of pace.

I think you are over listening to ssb and Julien is a colossus for us, easily our best CB great with both feet, great in the air, strong in the tackle and a leader on the pitch, can’t see us getting better than him with our budget. Would love to partner him with Bencovic and move Ayer into the Scott Brown role.

That mince comes from everybody seeing Jullien have a tough time against Dykes and Ogkmpoe who are big, physical strikers. Motherwell got almost all of their joy down he left hand side as well last week. So suggesting that it might suit Jullien and Jozo to tweak their roles for this game is hardly acting like we "haven't won anything for years" or being impossible to please. It's a positive suggestion which some happen to disagree with, which is your perogative. As long as we win I'll be happy. HH.

for me it is a trade off between his perceived defensive weakness an the magnificent goal threat he poses from corners and set pieces.

It has been a long time since a player got me off my seat at set plays by getting on the end crosses etc - he reminds me of Paul Elliot at times. He attacks the ball well in those situations as his goals tally testifies. I can forgive him his odd slip as he has not really gifted any/ many to the opposition.

All players make mistakes - if he was the perfect footballer he would be at Real or Juventus. We got a bargain with him - enjoy him.
