lenny still getting to know his best team he will work it out he's just arrived and winning gd start don't you think. some lads are saying lenny not the right guy. my opinion he is he's just came in we are just not finishing yet check the stats to many easy chances missed. we just needed more guys who chase everything like weah calmac etc,
as i said would judas rodgers won those last few games afore he left im not sure but lenny has started brill or its a great start for a new manager.
sunday will be a big day for us and lenny think we have enough left to take them.
my main worry is next year as celtic boys have won everything tiredness/ boredom will take its toll lenny will need ball players who run and help defence, i personally hate our side to side football taking to many touches at the back bores me brown gets tired last ten mins every game becomes clumsy and puts our defenders under pressure. lenny is working to change this you can see its changing sunday im sure will be better. HH.

My main worry is Lennon s manager easy choice wrong choice don’t profess to know the right choice but please not lennon. I expect us to win everything based on us being the best team but I could pick the team to do that we need to progress as someone who goes in week out week out my only ask is that we progress not just win but progress. Rodgers the rat did that and next in needs to do that too. £9m compo surely to fk we can invest that in someone who can make us better not just win.

The players should get enormous credit also for the way they are handling one of most difficult and testing seasons they've faced.
The injury list - and lengthy absences - have been horrendous.
The nightmare transfer window last summer was very damaging, including the managers obvious deflation and anger.
The consistent lack of protection from the Lanarkshire Mafia.
Regular put-downs from the media, amid the Sevco Steve Show.
Losing the most successful manager we/ they have had in decades and having to adjust/ adapt to a new regime with almost immediate, important games to play in cup and league (which they won) .
Remaining unbeaten since NL took over and having to fend-off a witch hunt of their captain and opponents assaulting our players.

There are other factors as well and I take my hat off to them all.
All the very best for Sunday Celts. COYBIG.

Oab you need to chill pal I understand the reasoning behind your anti Celtic pro person bias when it comes to referees but please let’s not let that be a factor on what we achieve footballing wise we will make that a non issue and ran it down their throats with every trophy we lift .10 i lar treble treble no excuses.

We just need to take care of business on Sun and turn up. but we need to start scoring goals since lenny came in the goals have been scarce.

Agree
Never mind the refs and the paranoia
Ball in the net more times than the sheep and we’re in a final.
Quick and direct passing

I was watching the clip of the 22 pass move, with lustig pulling off a rabona for the moose the score.
The passing was a joy to watch - real purpose. We seemed to have lost that a wee bit, plenty of possession not much penetration.

Just as I thought many f the managers that very many of our fans were drooling over never had any interest in coming to manage Celtic . We are lucky that Lennon hasn't let this kite flying get to him and he seems to be still interested in the job . I reckon it will be mid to late July before we are able to get a recognised "named manager " tied down to Celtic, as like many players they want to see what other jobs are available . The key task for P L may be to keep Lennon interested without offering him the job permanently . It may not be fair to keep N L strung a long and then not give him job, but we need someone in the job to keep getting necessary players in . Even though Lennon may not finish up with job, he would be aa hell of a lot better than having no manager in place .
The idle gossip about the named managers didn't help anyone. Back to talking about Aberdeen on Sunday.

Im grateful for what lenny has given us, he's been a fine servant to our great club, both on the pitch and in the dugout. I only want what's best for celtic tho and in my opinion we can get better than lennon, if I was in his position I would understand that us fans only want the best we can get. If we're aiming at the Clarke, Neil, moyes type level I would rather stick with lennon but we shouldn't be aiming at that level anymore, we upped the ante getting rodgers and we should at least be trying to stay on that level of appointment. I'm behind lenny 100% while he's our manager I just hope we move on in the summer.

{Ed007's Note - I don't know how accurate it is but it's a certainty they'll have 5 stars on them but I'd have I'd have preferred if we had went with 5 silver stars and a gold one above them.}

I get a long sleeved one without the sponsor every few years and wear it to 5 a side's till it falls to bits.

Think it’s the team most would go for but a think NL will play Rogic instead of Sinclair.

When the old club won 8 iar Celtic only lost 1 league game that season and we still didn't win the title but you could see we were in touching distance and we eventually just won the league 2 years later.
When we win 8 iar Celtic are more than 2 years ahead of sevco, so unless something drastic happens we will win 10 in a row.
The list of things that can go wrong for Celtic to prevent us making history would be if sevco get bank rolled to the extreme that they would overtake us or if we bring in a foreign coach who has no knowledge of scottish football.
We can't at this stage when we have them on their knees, give them any encouragement of getting back up.
At this stage keep it simple and give Lenny the job for the next 2 years, let him finish what he started.

Agree3 Disagree0

11 Apr 2019 12:35:22
They will do everything possible to stop us but so would we do that. Win Sunday win our next league game. If all this goes to plan our lads who have won eight wil be emotionally knackered as the amount of games. Rodgers put so much pressure on these when he left it was unbelievable honestly who leaves a team who are winning everything. For us to win nine will be so tough they will trying to stop us including refs media the usual lot. We need a few buzzing players w could be ready HH.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Apr 2019 12:55:16
Some very Naive statements in there LeonBhoy. The fact is we have been on the decline since our first season under Rodgers. It’s clear he wanted out before he couldn’t cope with the decline in quality any longer. We need a lot of investment in our squad especially in defence. There is nothing new in there. We need freshness. With a real manager. Don’t give me the drivel that someone can’t cope because of the league. Rodgers comes with the league compared to any other manager since Jock Stein and he was new to it all. Your points are invalid and make no sense. Celtic Da comes to mind.

Agree1 Disagree0

11 Apr 2019 14:24:38
Basically it comes down to us investing properly how comfortable or not 10 in a row will be.

Agree1 Disagree0

11 Apr 2019 14:53:01
Where’s the ‘away and don’t talk pish’ button when you need it. We have a huge squad which is miles ahead of Sevco and we’ll hopefully add another few in the summer but we don’t ‘need a lot of investment in our squad’.

Agree1 Disagree0

11 Apr 2019 16:50:29
Agree we're ahead of sevco but the gap should be bigger we be we seem to really push the boat out and strengthen from a position of dominance just a couple of quality signings that are here for 2 or 3 years and we're there.

Agree1 Disagree0

11 Apr 2019 18:28:35
Ken LikeEh, you should always listen to your Celtic Da.
I do agree we have been in decline but we have still won the league easily.
I also agree we need to push the boat out next season and invest heavily on players.
I was quite happy for the money to sit in the bank for emergencies but the time has come to spend big and blow away our title rivals.
I would trust Lenny with a big transfer budget, he deserves great credit after the job he done with recruitment first time around. The team he took over from Mowbray was a total shambles and Lenny built a fantastic team.
If we did bring in a manager from Serbia, there is a good chance he would probably bring in a couple or a few of players from that country because he knows the players.
Sevco done something similar last season when they brought in and paid good money for 3 players who played in Croatia last season and they have all struggled to get a regular game and now look a total waste of money.
I don't see why at this stage Celtic should take the chance of messing up 10 in a row.
Give Lenny 2 years and then the young team can then bring in their foreign coach to take us into a more modern football world.

Agree1 Disagree0

11 Apr 2019 18:38:11
I think the gap is what it is because of our lack of form and injuries. Add another 4 or 5 players this summer and a new manager and we should run away with the league. Our form before Christmas is what's made the league tighter than it should have been.

Agree2 Disagree0

11 Apr 2019 21:57:46
If we’re in decline, I’d like to know what players we had two years ago that were better than what we’ve got now.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Apr 2019 22:34:43
You can't beat an invincible season, so the only way is down, but to be fair to the bhoys they have continued to bring the trophies home.
Its amazing to think that when we beat hearts 5-0 away to win the league that year it was still Ronnies team apart from Sinclair that started that day.
Brendan was a good coach but Ronnie left him the tools to work with.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Apr 2019 14:32:26
The current squad will look a lot different come July. Boyata, Benkovic, Compper, Hendry, Doris, Benyu, Alan, Gamboa, Mulumbu all certs to leave. Burke, Weha, Toljan loans are over. Izzy, Lustig, Sinclair Biton and Gordon are are maybes. Gutman, Perez, Shved, Morgan, Johnston, Henderson, Dembele, Armstrong Okoflex are all young and raring to go so hopefully we will see them throughout next season.
