If my memory serves me correctly. Didn't MON's first ever old firm game not in a 6-2 rout and went on to dominate old firm games. I don't want to temp fate here but long may it continue.

Marco that won't happen this time. They may beat us once over the season as may Aberdeen but it's a 20 points win for the league. Rangers need Β£10 mill in transfer fees alone just to start a challenge. I think yesterday was a massive wake up call for Scottish football. The guff being put around about how Rangers saved Scottish football just shows how little these people who write this stuff actually understand. For this season we will get viewers tuning into Celtic v rangers derby. But when they all realise that rangers are no better than the rest of the teams and can't mount a challenge to Celtic what happens then. When rangers are 3rd or 4th in the league what's the position then? Marco these are different times now. Rangers may never get ahead of Celtic again as long as we don't sit back and allow them to play catch up.

We signed a mid thirties player who is in superb form and clearly helps his fellow defenders.
Warbs signs various players in their thirties, mid thirties and even late thirties none of these should be playing for The Rangers, and those picked are not good enough for the SPFL.

I do believe a weak Sevco helps every other team to compete for second place and that brings more interest and revenues for our game. When that last mob died the propoganda was all about Armageddon; even the ruling body was peddling that lie; now I just don't see it. Celtic lead the may upwards and show what half work, ambition and best supporters in through world van do. We are work in progress and I for one will take what we have now.

A big thanks to the manager and players, they gave me, and I would imagine every other supporter a brilliant day which will be remembered for a long time.
I thought that McInnis at Aberdeen was a sore loser, but he's nothing on Warburton. Apparently the reason they lost was because Lustig wasn't given a second yellow card when his team were 3-1 down and his side were down to 10 men.
He also reckons that there isn't a lot of difference between the teams quality wise.
The man is just deluded, their defence was an utter shambles, and going forward they created next to nothing.
I sincerely hope that they don't get rid of him, I don't want them to end up with a manager who actually might see the obvious, and sort them out, the way that Rodgers has done with us.
I've never missed the bigotry and violence that Rangers brought with them, when I see the pictures of the damaged toilets in the away end it just saddens me that the morons that followed the old club, have attached themselves to the new club and are again polluting our stadium.
The result today is the perfect response to them. Well done lads.

I detested Souness when he was oldco manager, but this guy is an utter tosser. Typical arrogant, delusional cockney wideboy and the Sevco media will eventually see through it.

Agree1 Disagree1

11 Sep 2016 19:02:38
If the sheep or hearts beat them then they will be calling for Warburton to be sacked and Aberdeen and hearts will take points off them. King won't put any money in so put any manager in there that you like. They are never going to catch Celtic or play Eurooean football of any type unless someone throws Β£10 to Β£15 mill into that club. Rangers saved Scottish football my backside. 10 in a row. Wonder what the odds are now?

Loved the way we got right into them from the off, terrorised them to the point that they didn't know what to do, Morale must be so high for the players right now, lustig with the beach ball was fantastic as was the performances of the whole team, BR at the end clamping the reporter who was disrepectfal shows why these players will run throw walls for him, something we've not had since MON imo, PS, toilet incident is the norm for them, close them next time and let them piss all over themselves . We have every entitlement to ban them from Celtic Park for the next game or for as long as we want. Why would we let them back in? don't think they can ban is from Ibrox and who cares, wouldn't want to go there anyway. Just ban them. Nothing changes does it. Come to think of it, if you look at it logically, this might just be the same club. Best argument they have ever had. We are still the same mindless morons we always were.

What a game, what an atmosphere. the Old Firm game is back and I'm so pleased that it is. Not surprised with the result, 5-1 is probably a true reflection of where the clubs sit at this moment. Celtic play with so much authority now, the transformation is phenomenal. The league will be fine, Europe will be interesting. Sevco won't finish top 3, that's for sure!

A couple of renditions of "you're not Rangers anymore" was a notable highlight today. We ripped them on and off the park, it was a pleasure to be there!

Sevco lost the plot today, from players and Management being sent off to their support trashing the toilets.

All in all, a pleasurable day. Indian's just arrived, too. It just gets better and better! HH!

Glad we performed well today I'm not going to lie I had 5 0 all week then Griffiths not playing I was thinking 3 0 dembele was class today and I think he will only get better but does anyone think br will play him and Griffiths? special shout out to Armstrong played in his preferred position and looked a lot better than he has been when played out left.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

10 Sep 2016 19:08:07
I don't get how it seems to some that Dembele was/ is not all that special. Of course he is young and will get even better but it was clear from day 1 he has some special talent. His touches and all round game was good just needed games, the only problem is still getting Griffs &him to gel a bit better cause they seem to be best when it's 1 of them up front. I'm sure when they start understanding each other with thier runs/ movement that BR will play them more.

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Sep 2016 19:49:51

10 Sep 2016 18:29:24
today showed the appointment of BR is Celtics best signing in years this is a man who knows how to manage teams manage players and manage situations so proud of the bhoys today and the fact they showed the newco exactly just how big the gap actually is mayby a bias opinion but I felt celtic played in 3rd gear and we destroyed them today not only that we've installed a realisation and panic in the rangers that has been disguised by the media there record sinse april is absolutely horrendous and i'm glad now that celtic has proved that this tribute act is a shambles and everything they believed in and were told is coming crumbling down.

Pictures circulating on social media about the absolutely disgraceful state they have left the visiting fans toilets in. What usually happens here. Do Celtic pay initially for the damage then bill the other club? Do they claim insurance damage via a hefty premium for such risk or do they just bill the other club first, get the money then fix the damage? Whichever it is, The 'Rangers' need to be forced to pay for it.
Scotlands shame and they CLEARLY don't care. Absolutely dispicable scumbags!

They did not really get much right today, did they?
Asked what led to David Weir being sent to the stands, Warburton said, "Weir was hugely frustrated that Barrie McKay was taken out on the touchline by a player on a yellow card. "
"At 3-1 down, it was already an uphill task, but that could have made it 10 against 10," he said.

Actually, the player who stopped McKay was Mikael Lustig, who wasn NOT on a yellow card.

He was excellent today, as was each and every man in a hooped shirt, and I'm delighted for them. Goalkeeping, I'm also not totally convinced by either keeper. If someone held a gun to my head and forced me to pick a negative it would be the fact they scored, other than that man for man we owned them.

On another note ed i need to give you credit where it is due mate.
You called out rogic as a player some time ago and stood by it even through the "marquee" debate.

Another wee negative was the fact Joe Garner never got at least 1 yellow for trying to get every Celtic player booked as soon as they looked at him. I can see his reputation for being a diving pr1ck is well justified.

{Ed007's Note - Ed003 said last night that Garner could start a fight in an empty house - I had to Google who he was talking about, I didn't even know they had signed him.}

Garner the guys a non entity, same as Barton who showed he isn't even on any of our midfielders level, never mind broony's, they must now realise they cannot compete with us at all n that their manager n players r out of their depth.
As for rogic, been a fan 4 a long time n he is an awesome player n is justifying a place week in week out. He has so much power, really hard to get off the ball, close control n touch r exquisite n he just drifts past men at will, n can score n assist. He will indeed be a star 4 us. Thought Roberts was a right threat when he came on n looking back to sharpness after the injury.
Have to say been mentioning him on here as getting back 2 the broony of old but today an all round captains performance driving the team on. It was so easy we could afford to take him off, Barton shown up 4 what he is, never was never is n never will be good enough for the team he loves, Glasgow Celtic haha.
Outstanding by big brendan on how we played n won that game, dominant from start to finish n nice to put the little sevconians, in their place.
Warbiola at the end was laughable in his interview, they certainly do clutching at straws well, anything to deflect from the fact the new team took a right pounding.
We r the paupers will not be amused.
Come on you bhoys in green.

Great result today, just shows what we all knew, we are miles ahead of this new club on n off the park.

I'm not slagging LG, by any stretch, but we genuinely have such a fantastic prospect in MD. If people still aren't seeing this bhoys potential and ability I don't know what to say. Was that the perfect hat trick today? It's just great to see some genuine competition up top. I thought we could have done with another forward, but rotated and paired correctly, LG and MD will do us just fine.

I've had a great day today. I'm in Rhodes, and was sat in my hoops in a sports bar full of Zombies. No word of a lie, I'm in my second week here and for the first time today at lunch, the buffet had jelly and ice cream. Some omen.

I agree with you Bigshaw there, as per.

PP, good to see you back dude.

L know this was a great resultand the team were fantasic Dembele if he stays is going to be a great, can see him and Giff together.
Agree 100% about Bitton he makes so many side and back passes he has no cutting ball to break tight defences. when he is bypassed he runs back slowly tackles weakly. Look at there goal he loses out on the tackle and does not stop Tavenier from crossing when he cuts back inside Tierney. He gets booked early when caught out by players running passed him would rather MacGregor for the CL games.
