Ed, I see the chairmen of Real Sociadad has critised Finnbogasson saying "he's not lived up to expectation" and "he's a source of self criticism"! I can't help but think there is an ideal opportunity for us to go and make a move with loan or permanent! He's the ideal striker we need! I see Bolton have been linked! Surley we can offer a better platform than them! This maybe wishful thinking Ed but do think think his name may have come up in conversation when the pre season friendly was being discussed?

I looked up wrong list and thought oliver giroud was freed lol

Micah richards?

10 Jun 2015 17:16:40
Diaby of arsenal ross Wallace for lb.Bobby zamora tbh there's no much you would think would improve our team plus high wages they will want who if any would you be intrested in ed007

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I've not went through it meticulously but there's nobody that really jumps out at me, even to replace Zaluska I'd only pick Ben Amos from Utd but I think he's due to sign for Bolton because he wants first-team football.
When you look at the list you see how much sh!te there is at EPL clubs when, apart from obviously players like your Micah Richards, Vlaar or Lampard, there isn't much on that we think would improve our team/squad.
I'm sure there's young players on there that we've never heard of and could maybe come and improve under RD but I don't watch much Under-21 football in England. And as I typed that I noticed John Ludstrum from Everton has been freed, he was a decent player and seems to have lost his way under Martinez but do we really need any more midfielders?}

10 Jun 2015 17:18:31
If Scotland moved to Summer football, I wonder if players (especially released players like these) may feel more ready to make loan moves to the SPLF?

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jun 2015 18:24:01
Richards and Mulumbu mainly. Vlaar or Distin? Not sure but they might steady the back four. Perhaps RD could turn Miyaichi's career around. Hooiveld?

10 Jun 2015 18:28:28
only 153 players so multiply that by at least £5m per player (average), WOW.
3/4 Billion pounds.

I see that 1 player has the exact name as myself, and I thought I could play, obviously NOT. lol

10 Jun 2015 19:44:36
Mulumbu, Miyiachi and Vlaar I would take.

The rest can get tae f*ck!

Other than most that has been typed above Yannick Sagbo @ Hull we were linked with him before & when I seen him play 3 or 4 times a wish we had signed him

Hangeland could play a bit too but probably now a year to old IMO to merit a deal

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jun 2015 23:04:16
Vlaar would do a good job but wages are a problem

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Jun 2015 07:54:49
Of the known names above the only one I'd be interseted in is Zamora. Depending on wages. I think he is a fantastic goal scorer. But I have no doubt his old mate Harry would have seen him right with his wages so prob out of our league. A lot of names there especially from bigger clubs. They could be young players who haven't had a chance. Look at john guidetti for ex. It wasn't so long ago the shout was just pay what it takes to get him. I'm sure a lot of these guys on free transfers will be at a higher level than him with a lower ego hopefully.

11 Jun 2015 17:11:35
Diaby has great potential but is too often injured. Other than that I don't see much value there.

12 Jun 2015 16:00:31
Signing on fees and wages would be a major problem with many whilst the age would be a problem with some .

Im getting really sick of Guidetti and his pi$h. Any manager no matter who is in charge of whatever team would do the same as Deila- Give priority to players who want to be at club.

Apparently he is off to Trabzonspor, clearly for the money

Dn30 denyar was the same we knew he wasn't staying and never got frozen out its clear for all to see he had a stinking attitude ego whatever you want to call it and tbh Griffiths is a better all round striker who took his chance when given a run in the team

Agree1 Disagree1

10 Jun 2015 16:56:52
Denayer still has a contract at City guidettis contract was up and the alternative with denayer was ambrose at CB two completely different situations!

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jun 2015 17:18:04
Gordo we always knew Denayer was never going to stay as he is highly rated.

Guidetti is totally different cause his contract was expiring. Yes he does have a stinking attitude. He thinks he is too big for the club

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jun 2015 17:23:17
Sos the point i'm meaning is denyar wouldn't be at our club the following season and RD knew that but still played him and using ambrose as a reason for him playing is far from the truth because RD is a huge fan of ambrose just shows he was picking the right players for the job

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jun 2015 18:06:22
Guidetti may be like most professional footballer and may not be blessed with average brains but his agent should have been doing the thinking and speaking for him . In that event neither of them should have been closing the idea of a Celtic career without having a better offer elsewhere . Guidetti is worth exactly as much as the biggest offer he can get from a club . The problems seems to be that Guidetti and his agent have an inflated view of his worth and rather than take any responsibility for that his agent keeps muttering negatives about Celtic which he repeats in public .

Gordon is better at crosses than Marshall but I would go with Marshall as he has been playing a higher standard of football than Gordon .

10 Jun 2015 14:01:57
That is a hard one can't we just do a Inverness and play with the 2?

10 Jun 2015 18:09:56
Who does Marshall play for? How has he handled Champions League Qualifliers and Europa League matches .
Marco 1888 if our players are not playing at a higher standard than the team Marshall is playing , we should think of closing down altogether .

11 Jun 2015 16:11:57
I doubt if Marshall has played as many big games as Gordon last season . Marshall was brilliant for us when he replaced our sent off keeper .
For some reason he froze in WGS first few games .

What's everyone's view of Guidetti recent media outburst? Sour grapes perhaps?
I was a huge fan of his when he signed, not a marquee signing of old but a bums on seat guy. Once his form dipped he seemed to shell up and turned out to be quite the diva.
His outrageous wage demands priced him out of a move away it seems, and his goals dried up. Maybe his over inflated ego was writing cheques his boots couldn't cash!
I am disappointed he slates the club who put him in the window - maybe that's why he has been at so many clubs.

The guy has a bigger mouth than he has a talent.
He thinks he is in the same league as the top players in the world.
He is no better than a championship player.

Glad we did not buy him.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jun 2015 18:17:09
The proof is that his agent has been tasting him all round Europe expecting him to be signed and not worrying about his future over the summer . Their inflated view of his worth is not matched by clubs anywhere , even those with more money than sense .
