Although they seemed to pass and keep the ball a wee bit better in the first half, we created much more and should have had three or four before the break.
Johansen has had criticism this season, but I think he was great today - as opposed to McGregor and Commons who were poor.
Both strikers very much involved and took their goals well although we did miss some sitters and made the lad in goal look good.
I still think we need to sign better quality to help Griffiths in more testing games and especially in European qualifiers

Baby Dallas never disappointed and had a fair amount of 'honest mistakes' and there was no way we were getting a PK today.
Nevertheless a well deserved win and into the hat for the next round and hopefully a step towards getting back to some sort of form and consistency for the run in.
A lot of Celtic-haters were watching and hoping for an upset:- so to them and SLY and wee turncoat Walker in particular; GIRUY!

Cole did take the goal well but you are right that we need another partner for LG. When in the box he did look like a bit of a handful but his legs are completely gone, no pace at all. Dallas jr is definitely cut from same cloth as his Da, pen on Tierney was blatant. See sevco got another 2 Pens the day. Must be close to 20 over the whole season, wild! Partner for Jozo and a striker would be fine in this window for me. Really do not see the point of any loans coming in at all. A return to form should put us in good shape for the treble with what we have. Someone said earlier that we are over-employing Tierney, definitely think that's the case myself, needs to be nurtured rather than spent. Hope the boy Janko returns soon as he looked to have pace to burn and good with the ball at his feet. Lustig won't last the season on that flank. Fingers crossed for sevco in the next round. Home or away would do me fine (if Greyskull is still standing by then)

I have to disagree with u Daviebhoy you referenced grey skull in place of ibrokes for me that is incorrect as grey skull was he-man's lair what in my opinion should be used is snake mountain or in a pinch Mordor.

Agree4 Disagree0

10 Jan 2016 18:54:07
Hahaha Big D, I'll take that considered feedback. Mordor works for me. Would be a good laugh to go there and slaughter them though. Celtic should ask them for a deposit if they get drawn at Parkhead after the shameful way they left Parkhead last time before their "Most Successful Club in the World" died.

10 Jan 2016 17:11:43
Easy win today, Could've been easier without wastefulness and good goalkeeping/ defending. Thought Cole looked a threat and Griffiths had more time and space as he had someone playing up top with him. Maybe RD might play that more often. Maybe not. Sevco at home next round would be nice.

Well played bhoys. LG is the main man what a signing he has turned out to be. The guy is a goal machine. More importantly you can see he loves the Celtic! Hail Hail.

See more flares set off before the game today and more idiotic singing! When are these half wits going to learn honestly! Utter embarrsment!

10 Jan 2016 16:06:13
Its a joke mate, I've had a moan on here before, you'll probably get people on saying that they are just misunderstood, they make all the 'amazing' atmosphere at parkhead!

10 Jan 2016 16:14:35
It's not even funny mate! These idiots don't even grasp that it's the club that gets hurt with there actions! Through fines and whatever else punishment they hit us with! Utter morons!

10 Jan 2016 17:07:35
Add to that the sectarian singing from a minority i could here on the tv, can't stress minority enough but still disgusting! All in all good performance and great to see johansen back to his best.

Agree3 Disagree0

10 Jan 2016 17:27:23
The green brigade are a disgrace. You can't keep defending them and saying its a minority. Certainly looked like a large group holding up that embarrassing "ULTRAS" banner. Flares on the pitch, kick off delayed and the usual songbook.

At what point is anyone going to stand up to them? They like to play the victim card as if they are being picked on by Peter Lawell and the police. It is them that is forever damaging the reputation of our club.

Agree1 Disagree1

10 Jan 2016 17:56:22
When will these idiots ever learn. The SFA/ SPFL were shamed into acting against the down market south side team, wait tomorrow all the papers will want Celtic sited also, to "mitigate" Sevco's offences. I am raging with these clowns.

Agree4 Disagree1

10 Jan 2016 18:25:13
We have always had a lunatic fringe that tarnish the fantastic away support we carry all over and you would think with cctv, mult stewarding, Plod and decent fans they will be identified and rooted out quickly.
Just support the team in numbers - sing, chant and shout Celtic related vocals All you want and leave the flares, bigotry and bile to lesser mortals.

Agree3 Disagree0

10 Jan 2016 18:59:29
Either wee neds or grown men living in the past, cannot abide any of that nonsense. A minority like others have said but I'd be surprised if the back pages of Scotland's "Quality Dailies" to not tar whole support with same brush. If identifiable, they should be banned from CP for life.

How can these Idiots call them selves Celtic fans (supporter's)
who would deliberately get your Family in to trouble unless they are IDIOTS I agree with you Jim 100% on that one.

Ed and fellow posters are you expecting RD to make changes to the team lineup and formation today as a lot of fans are hoping for or do you expect the same as normal with the odd enforced change due to injury or suspension.

I feel he is damned either way as some won't be happy no matter what and the pressure must be affecting him even though he appears to be handling it fairly well. A win is expected, the performance we get is a concern but I'd take any win.

Is Gordon suspended? Great opportunity for Bailly if so.

So Ronnie had gone 4-4-2 with Griffiths and Cole up front? Is he learning at last. He actually seems to be playing in positions that they understand and can play. Could this be the beginning of a change for the better? I hope so Ronnie.

10 Jan 2016 16:01:49
Certain games, today being one, are better for a target man type style. Before CC came in RD didn't have the option though did he?

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jan 2016 18:10:54
Jim we will need to wait and see if he sets up that way again or did he just feel he could do it today because of the opposition? My own feeling is that his normal set u does not work for us so I would like to see him run the 4-4-2 again.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jan 2016 19:47:32
Well that's fair enough certain games it will work. For me though, as a norm, I like 4-2-3-1. Just missing a few players. We're talking Europe really where it's a test and I wouldn't like to see a 4-4-2 in Europe, not with the current squad anyway. I thought the 'midfield 5' were admirable in EL this season. It was just at the back and up top where we cocked up.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jan 2016 20:46:17
Jim for me the backs get too exposed in our 4-2-3-1 mainly because we don't push up as a unit. Too many spaces for the opposition to run into. Don't know if the players just can't have the legs for it or what it is but after 30 mins the gaps just appear. Agree about 4-4-2 in Europe, no good but don't rate us playing the usual system either, so some change has got to happen.

Today's football bets for me today are in FA Cup
Carlisle 8/ 11 and Cardiff 8/ 11 should win as both at home but I may also have a saver on BTTS
In Tottenham Leicester game go for BTTS and over 2.5 goals ( I know Leicester goals have dried up recently but fancy them to score at least once)
Up here my ex bear pals are going big on them -2 at 4/ 6 (NOTE for Sack the Board, I am NOT betting on this game)
In our game Celtic are 10/ 11 minus 2 (again do not bet on Celtic, superstitious in case I jinx them)
Although I have taken carlisle I am hoping wee Yeovil prove me wrong.

Marty footie tips later but good racing in Ireland today, I believe in omens and coincidences so my two horses today are both at Fairyhouse
COURT CHALLENGE 15/ 2 (owned by a Mr King, quite appropriate ha ha) 1.50
and Bailly Green 2.20 about 14/ 1 (young Bailly should be in goal today and hopefully wear GREEN lol)
bet small each way as it is only daft hunch and YES I have put my money on already.

10 Jan 2016 12:39:05
Forgot to add this "coincidence" horse today in Fairhouse 1.20 called Billy Billy 6/ 4 (wonder if our down at heel south side fans will give us another television rendering of their favourite banned song?

Am dreading this today if the unthinkable happens then RD gone simple as that I read 48 thousand for the partick thistle game shocking if we play like have done past few games crowds stay away good performance we do need the players know they can do it.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

10 Jan 2016 10:03:33
I'm the opposite, I've been looking forward to it all week. The players know the window is open and so they need to perform and the fact that it's against lower league opposition means they should go out and put on a dominant display and score a few goals which will hopefully give them a boost and see them kick on. HH.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jan 2016 10:59:30
Not dreading the game, but maybe a wee bit apprehensive because of the way we have been playing lately, although the away form has been fairly consistent.
Stranraer will be well up for this with the amount of regulars we have missing - especially in defence and if we show any nerves or jitters they will fancy an upset.
SLY and the rest will be hoping for this and the players need to be fired up and determined to get this tie ptb.
It could be a big turning point in our season?

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jan 2016 11:47:42
It's true we have been playing poorly, but we should still win today, I would like a different manger brought in but I don't like all the talk about him being sacked if we don't win this game or that game. Like any other game we play I want us to win and today expect us to win. The players and the fans should go into the game positively, if the worst was to happen that needs to be addressed after the game, there is no need to put extra pressure on before the game.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jan 2016 11:58:21
I'm hoping we are ruthless today, I hope we pick a strong team and go out and hit them hard early on.
Don't risk giving them any encouragement.
I remember the Clyde match a few years ago, we were so sloppy at the start and look what happened, don't take the risk of that happening again.

Folks this is really quite simple

As LVG and MUFC illustrate, results aren't enough. It is all about the 3 Ps for me

Performance
Progress
Passion

We are winning games but because the 3 Ps are AWOL we become caught up in these endless debates about RDs qualities

Celtic should win a lot more than they lose domestically. We have the resources and the depth in quality and quantity to dominate. So that's a given in terms of economics BUT what we all want to see is our better quality players playing with passion and delivering complete performances across 90 minutes and playin with passion out of respect for the institution that they are fortunate enough to represent

Celtic going backwards or sideways performance wise won't save RD. we need to kick and positively progress

Simples.

I see big Yogi is desperate to get Stokes in on loan i'm not surprised, he knows how to get the best out of a player by man managing them, every player is different and a good management team understands this. Some players need molly coddled some need a kick up the a*** to get the best out of them . This is where we fail big time in the current managerial set up, Ronny has the potential to be a very likeable bloke in the dressing room and seems to have a bit of a sense of humour about him, but I truly believe John Collins has sucked the team spirit out of the dressing room. This bloke has got to be the most un likeable man in Scottish football his arrogance is legendary from when he was manager at Hibs showing off his six pack to his team. Collins sense of humour seems non existent and doesn't seem to realise that every individual can only reach a certain level of fitness. Get rid of this clown and get an assistant in that's at least human and get a bit of team spirit back.

Believable6 Unbelievable2

10 Jan 2016 12:06:26
I think a lot of us would tend to agree with that and I worry that Collins sees the current climate and dip in form as a possible avenue to the managers office for himself.
That would be a real nightmare scenario!
I think RD is possibly too timid and naive and Collins was brought in with a good cop - bad cop setup in mind and it has had such an adverse effect on too many players that it must be obvious to the board that it is damaging the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jan 2016 12:23:39
If Collins becomes boss then we are doomed, I firmly believe that he is the type who will never admit he gets things wrong and he's behind this rigid 4 2 3 1 system that isn't working. Time Ronny grew a pair and let's this imposter know who's boss
