Use our rumours form to send us celtic transfer rumours.

Just had a mate tell me that he saw on tw***er that a rangers director, Malcolm Murray, has asked for a meeting with Mr Desmond. If true, and apparently the source is "impeccable", I wonder what it might be about? If true I wonder if chuckie will tell the peepul about it? Personally I don't see any benefit in it to us and would not let the buffoon green in the door. . . green jhedi

I think they are scared they are going to be left behind and will struggle to see the dust by the time they make it back into the SPL. Celtic are going to be so far out in front with revenue that they might never get close again.

Jungle Bhoy.

Agree11 Disagree2

Why would they meet? With how they insult us and drag our name out in everything they do to keep that hate brewing in thier fans we shouldn't even take a call. But maybe they are looking for advice on how to run a club lol. Still don't see why they would meet gj

Agree6 Disagree0

On my original post, it seems rumours abound that Murray and Green are far from best pals. Maybe a power struggle (poss Blue knights?) with Murray not to happy with Greens antics? That seems to be the gossip, and Murray has been pretty much silent since being appointed. I just can't see a way it ties with Mr Desmond. . . . green jhedi

Perhaps they want Celtic to officially recognise them as the same club and part of old firm? Which wouldn't happen.
Perhaps they want two games between us one at Celtic park one at Ibrox? Because they need the money.
Perhaps he wants to negotiate the money they owe?
I think its the first one.

Agree2 Disagree0

Maybe the are trying to flog us murray park for our reserves

Agree3 Disagree0

From what I seen GJ, its just to build a relationship.

At least someone at Rangers is trying to move on I suppose ~ Mrs E

Agree3 Disagree6

Why not take a call?
This guy is Sevco chairman isn't he? Why can't he talk to the Celtic chairman, the whisky guy? Why would he wish to bypass the board? Because he knows the board would fobb him off.

Agree2 Disagree1

Perhaps, as usual, they get pre told the Nimmo smith findings. Title stripping and new club. So his deal is Celtic recognise them as same club. They drop 5 titles and we gain 5 titles making us even. Problem is they are dead and now zombies.

Agree7 Disagree0

Maybe if Rangers loose their titles green is offering to buy them back?

Agree1 Disagree1

I think its selling MP. Nobody can use it for anything but football training. We are cash rich, they cannot afford to run it. They need the money. We are the only club in Scotland who could buy and operate it. Green said it might need to go months ago. They can only sell it to Celtic.

Agree1 Disagree2

Maybe he is doing a CW and flogging off some seats based on the potential cash revenue from OF games in 3 years time!

At the beginning of Season 2012/13 on 1st August Celtic began their quest to qualify for the World's most prestigious Club competition, The UEFA Champions League with the first of 2 qualifying rounds. They said we would not get past the 1st round.

After beating HJK Helsinki at home and away, Celtic moved onto the final qualifying round and met Helsingborgs IF. We did not concede a goal and beat them again home and away. Celtic had qualified for the Group Stages of the Champions League.

On Thursday August 30th, Celtic were in the draw for the Group Stages and were drawn in Group G with the mighty Barcelona, Portugese giants Benfica and the cash rich Spartak Morcow. They said Celtic would not get a point from this group.

Celtic played their first game in the group stages against Benfica at Celtic Park which resulted in a goalless draw, not the most attractive game but Celtic had a point and were still undefeated. Our first away game was against Spartak Moscow and Celtic won 3-2, it was fantastic!

The next away game was Barcelona and after 90mins it was 1-1 with 4 minutes added time, I have never felt like crying so much when Jordi Alba scored with the last kick of the ball after such an heroic display from Celtic. They said Celtic could not repeat this display, it was a fluke.

7TH NOVEMBER 2013, a day after Celtic celebrated their 125th anniversary, Barcelona were at Celtic Park having only been defeated once this season against Real Madrid. For me Barcelona are brilliant to watch, the passing, the football, the possession, the fitness levels but they are not my team, Celtic are. I swear that game lasted more than 90 mins but the emotions during it, the atmosphere, the spectacluar dispay to mark 125 years of Celtic, the pride to be part of it, Wanyama scoring, Tony Watt Scoring and oh that final whistle. It was all about Celtic, Europe was all about Celtic, world football was all about Celtic. We now had 7 points and were 2nd in the Group.

The final 2 games were away to Benfica which ended in only our 2nd defeat of the entire CL campaign and at home to Spartak Morcow. Celtic needed to better Benfica's result in this final game to qualify from the group stages. With Barcelona fielding a weakened side against Benfica, the nerves were again set. Celtic did their part and defeated Spartak 2-1 and as Benfica could only manage a goalless draw, Celtic qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League.

This Tuesday, Celtic will face The Old Lady, Juventus who will bring with them Pirlo, Buffon et all and they have said Celtic will definitely not get past this stage.

Lets wait and see!

Win, Lose or draw its all about Celtic ~ Mrs E

As usual a quality post Mrs E. I honestly think we can get at them. I cannot see them starting with a back three, their favoured defensive shape, and that might let us get at them early. Lenny will earn his cash in this team selection. Seems like a year since the barca game, I can't wait for this. . . green jhedi

GJ. I'm just so happy to be in the last 16 and think it really is now about enjoying the experience.

We were the first and only Scottish team to win the European Cup and the first Scottish team to have 10 points in the CL group stages, here's hoping to be the first in the last 8!

Celtic have been getting really positive press around Europe and deservedly so.

Can't wait for Tuesday. COYBIG ~ Mrs E

To deflect attention from the unpaid Orlit invoices, and what services deserved such sums, El Chico Glinty released the Juve sensationalist nonsense.
But the cold truth is Rangers have debts; footballing debts, business debts and tax debts, regardless of the lies. They are now not paying invoices. That's what Craig Whyte did before old Rangers sunk into admin.
Deady Bears should be very worried. All their season ticket money and share money paid but this déjà vous is rolling out.

Believable11 Unbelievable0

I think it's spooky the way their fans, most of them, are behaving with regards to Green. It would appear his playing to the gallery tactic has worked like a charm. After the shambles of Agent Whyte's regime you might have thought they would be on their guard. Since buying the assets of the defunct club what has he done? It would appear that the assets were purchased using investor cash, this will have to be repaid with interest of course, in a move very similar to Agent Whyte's Ticketus deal. Buy a season book and you can re-name Murray park. Not happened. Adidas will be the kit suppliers. Not happened. Dallas Cowboys will be commercial partners. Not happened. Shirt sponsorship will be announced. Not happened. During these fiascos he has also tried to punt advertising space on the roof of Murray park and is begging for stadium re-naming. I ask again why do the fans trust him? Oh, he gave them the share issue. A share issue clouded in a lack of transparency, and no one seems to know who the investors are. To cap it all he buys his own shares for 1p, but the RST pay 70p for theirs, what a man of the people eh? Add his near £500k salary package and it certainly is a good deal for chuckie. . . . green jhedi

7,000 percent mark up.

Who's doing who the favour?
Green and his investors are hard nosed business corporate monsters who need better than 8% returns on investment. They do not support Rangers.
The USA business experts at Forbes magazine have stated radical cost restructuring was needed. It didn't happen. Dave King said it costs more to run than income, requiring a benevolent multi millionaire to plough money in with no returns.

Use the puffin browser from the appstore. The free one comes with flash support for a limited time sadly it doesn't work too well with tv as I think it runs via a foreign proxy to support the flash video. Has worked fine for me thus far for firstrow etc etc etc though.

You have to press the flash button, takes a bit of playing about with but you can get live streaming. I watched the killie game on it last week. If you read some of the reviews on the app store they tell you how to work it.

ed iv'e been racking my brains trying to think why I might be banned. last week I posted that I thought they were absolutely pathetic for boycotting dundee utd. but no matter what the result was i'd be back on to say, don't you wish you had been at your best result of the season, or if you had been there it might have helped. one of our guys agreed, can't mind who. the following day, the post and the reply had been removed. and iv'e not been back on since so your right they must have banned me. petty or what. if this is the case ' bye ghuys and girls. no point in reading if I can't participate. shammy {Ed001's Note - you just post rubbish, so it gets deleted.
