Starting to really enjoy watching celtic again everything has been said in the earlier posts. I had doubts that Rogers was the best man for the job they are disappearing fast. We won't be tested in Scotland not this season anyway. The real test will come in Europe starting next week, a performance like tonight will really get the ground bussing.

Tonight was the most i've enjoyed watching us play for a while jonace some of the link up play and movement was a joy to watch after 2 years of watching Deila's boring and one dimensional dross tactics, there seems to be a freshness about our play and the players seem to have been given the freedom to go and express themselves on the park by the manager.

Agree1 Disagree1

11 Aug 2016 17:07:13
The only problem is under R D we beat that team by 7 goals instead of a meagre 5 last night .
Last night was a magnificent display of fast attacking football, a pleasure to watch and although I think we can repeat last night style and force on frequent occasions, one wonderful display doesn't necessary quarantee a season full.
B R knows what he wants and has the self confidence to demand to get it.

11 Aug 2016 18:58:09
More bollocks old bhoy we won that day because Motherwell had downed tools he was the most boring manager in our history that's WHY he's NOT HERE NOW.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Aug 2016 22:05:07
Jamesbhoy is this attack me time, have u any reason other than wanting to bully me
If u read my whole post you would have noticed that I gave total fulsome praise to the performance last night and mentioned R D as a bit of humour .
Maybe humour is foreign to u.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Aug 2016 23:40:18
You try to be an arse on here with everybodies posts thinking you know more than everybody else. The empty stadium the last two years showed what everybody thought of Deila and his bland boring tactics.

10 Aug 2016 22:53:22
great performance tonight! . actually played that well forgot we still have wee Roberts to come back aswell! . and great to see rogic put in a good performance also. manager also showing his class already. never looked this forward to a season in a long time. bring on the sevco! HH.

Can't be anything other than positive after that performance. We are becoming a joy to watch. Progression by the week. From individual performances to the team as a whole we just look entirely different to last season. To think we have Toure, Roberts, Erik etc to come in things are looking very good for the season. Would love to see us qualify for the Champions League and test Man City with an offer for Roberts.

Ed do you think this is on the cards? Or entirely too soon to even try and sign him permanently. HH.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I said the other day that I think it's too early. Start nipping their nut at the end of December.}

10 Aug 2016 23:16:03
Ed do you think city would sell though.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I don't think City would be hard to deal with if Paddy fancied making his move permanent. No offence to the lad but he's got about as much chance of getting in that City first team as I have, they don't exactly need to even recoup their outlay let alone make a profit, and we do have a good relationship with City and one of their employees.}

10 Aug 2016 23:32:44
They have too much Cashew down there ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Aug 2016 00:10:29
I agree PR a smashing player but i don't see city wanting to start him over any big expensive stars, he might get a few cup games for them, but i really hope he builds up his career with the bhoys, and i can see man city selling him to us cause as u said ed city have a good relationship with us and i don't see it being a big lose to them, no disrespect to patrick roberts.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I can't see Paddy playing up here for 18 months, playing in Europe, winning trophies and being happy to go back to City's reserves. He'll be looking for regular football and for me that means he'll need to leave City next summer.
Fingers crossed he doesn't have a coupls of bad games and get booed.}

11 Aug 2016 00:52:11
I really hope he stays, he needs to stay and not just for celtic but for himself and as you say ed its a choice of regular football and in europe or researve football and maybe a cup game or 2.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Even in England what would his options be, teams like a Stoke or a Sunderland just to prove himself again? I can't see the likes of Man Utd or Chelsea being interested in him and at 19 he has his full career in front of him. He'll have spent 18 months here, being part of a team and dressing room, getting plaudits and recognition.
If he continues the way he has I will be gutted if Celtic don't pull out all the stops to try and sign him permanently. Lawwell has said that we can afford an £8 million signing, I don't think Paddy would cost us that.}

11 Aug 2016 11:37:56
Even if he was £8M, we're in the business of selling our top players for £12M+ these days so there would potentially still be room for a decent profit. Of course you'd need to add wages onto that but he's the type of player who would help us get into the CL with all the extra millions that brings too.

11 Aug 2016 07:04:18
Excellent feedback as always Ed. Thanks. HH.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Cheers, Stan.}

11 Aug 2016 17:12:07
Ed007 could we give our stewards something to do and that is to shut up any of our loudmouths who can't wait for Roberts or others to make a mistake, so that they can boo and abuse .
At least one person on here thinks fans are justified.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Aug 2016 22:39:51
Another impressive display tonight and we"re only going to get better. Sinclair a class act, Broony back to his old self, Rogic showing us he's well worth his new contract. A new keeper and we'll be looking very strong, noticed BR getting frustrated with Gordons wayward kicking tonight so hopefully that will be next on the agenda.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

10 Aug 2016 22:29:28
That's what happen's when you play Rogic HE SCORE'S GOAL'S. Great performance from Sinclair too, good to see him gelling into the team so quickly i can see him scoring 20+ this season. So far so good Bhoys. HH.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

10 Aug 2016 22:21:37
After watching that performance tonight, I'm wondering what everyone's thoughts on Roberts are? Do we play the players who are going to be here long term? Get the use out of what I think is a great player while we can? Or try to sign him up permanently? IMO you could argue all three but I would go with the second option and if possible the third too.

Believable2 Unbelievable3

10 Aug 2016 22:32:54
Looking forward to seeing Roberts and Sinclair same team bud tbh oooofft God help full backs other teams up here lol, no getting carried away but as I said before Iam just really impressed with how quickly we win ball back when we lose it big Rogic class aswell.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Aug 2016 22:33:42
If there's a deal to be done i'd sign him permanently absolutely no question, for me not playing a fit Roberts isn't an option, make the most of him while he's here, the boys a cracking player, the type of player you pay good money to watch.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Aug 2016 22:57:35
Dundeebhoy i can't see Roberts breaking into Man City first team mate. Money and that club are killing game. They seem to have a pattern of buying a player with no chance of breaking through, so that other competitor clubs can't buy them. Bony, Sinclair, Roberts, Denayer to name a few. Its getting more clear man city transfer policy, hopefully players will start to see this. What i'm trying to say is, Roberts is still young. Good chance after experiencing europe and playing regularly he might want to stay and develop then go back to EPL. Transfer fee more than likely would hinder this.

Team is looking really good. IMO all we need is a keeper.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Aug 2016 23:00:29
Think it will be a mixture or 1 and 2 to be honest.
We are hoping to have 2 good cup runs plus in Europe till Xmas at least and the league. A lot of games to play.
So the players that are our future plus Roberts will get plenty game time.

Agree0 Disagree2

11 Aug 2016 17:14:08
A good manager will always play the players he thinks are the best available to him, unless he has specific reason to punish a player or rest him or them.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Aug 2016 22:16:47
Well done lubo Forrest has more freedom with a real left winger in the team doesn't need to pass back also I'd keep it like it is and give Roberts the number 10 role let him loose hh.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

10 Aug 2016 22:57:57
Think the number 10 role should be rogics from now on.
With the amount of games we hope to play this year there will be enough to fit Roberts sinclaire and forrest in.

Agree0 Disagree3

10 Aug 2016 22:59:03
Instead of rogic?

. rogic
Sinclair Roberts
. dembele Griffiths

Is the way to go imo .

Thoughts after tonight's games
Gordon- nothing to do most of game then pushes ball out to wee skippys feet.

Janko- steady and strong. Looks like he runs out of ideas sometimes when going forward.

Lustig- mister dependable as usual.

Oconnell- really impressed by him last few games.

Izzy- not his biggest fan but done well tonight. Good game.

Forrest- played well. Worked hard. Chased all way from their box to ours when they broke for corner. New lease of life?

Brown- good game. Keeper ball ticking over and Marshalled the midfield well

Mcgregor- good game. Worked hard chase the ball down and great wee ball for rogic

Sinclaire- great game. Looks exciting and dangerous

Rogic- great game looked like a class act tonight.

Dembele- worked hard got his reward.
Maybe being to hard on himself and trying to hard. Think goals will come.

All subs on when game was done and good to see youth getting some time on park.

Manager- got it all bang on again tonight even with suspensionsome and knocks to key players.

Special mention to motherwell keeper.
Great game and kept the score line being a humiliation.

10 Aug 2016 22:51:31
I too agree with you Kev83 . I must compliment u on your great knowledge of footballers, just co-incides with myself😊😅
Maybe one of the players B R wants could be a goalkeeper, to put Gordon under pressure or take his place.

Rogic what a godsend the creative cm was in the squad all along that apart from Roberts was our strongest midfield passing was inspired tonight.

The difference tonight was . we were making the right decisions in the final 3rd most of the time and the team all grew in confidence from it and started to belive in themselves. well done celtic! . have been waiting a while on that.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Aug 2016 21:43:02
Dare I say (without getting carried away) that BR has clearly found the player's G-spots and knows how to tickle them! lol
It's impossible to make any serious judgment on the back of just a few games but he's got Forrest playing well. That in itself is worthy of applause.
A sound performance tonight with few if any real negatives. I liked that :-)

HAIL HAIL.

Good managers can inspire some players to new heights .
Good managers can buy in new players that fit into team
Good managers adopts style of football to suit players available
Good managers can bring through new players .

Brendan Rodgers seems to be ticking all the boxes, he is confident in what he does.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Aug 2016 23:46:43
good managers can set up differently to deal with different challenges at home and abroad
good managers aren't afraid to alter course during game to get the job done on their terms
good managers don't watch and wait and ponder and pause and worry …they react and do their best to fix what needs fixing

Celtic should deploy different tactics to thwart their opponents…we might not always like the tactics …like counter attacking at home in a european game …but surely its about getting the right result …maybe we have a manager who realises that we need to be capable / able to play different systems at different times

under RD we were very very very predictable and that in itself was a travesty.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Aug 2016 21:39:57
Delighted with Rogic there getting a full 90 mins. Answered a question of mine by doing so. Hopefully that's him fully fit now which I don't think he has been for a full cycle yet.

Dembele causes a few twitches with his penalty style as well! I look through my fingers when a striker doesn't take a run up. It's very cool of him though.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

10 Aug 2016 21:38:02

I agree Bhampot. Really impressed by Sinclair, he is what we have been missing for a long time. An actual left winger.

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Aug 2016 22:17:49
DN30, what were your thoughts on Dembele? Know you were not too impressed at the start? I know it's early doors but he is looking sharper now don't you think? Maybe had more space to play without Griffiths?

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Aug 2016 22:45:00
Johnnymac i said the other week after Astana game i think i overreacted after seeing his tv comments. Just think he is a really nervous person. He really needed that goal tonight, i think this will boost his confidence massively and can honestly see him progressing. i'm sure as season goes on they will play together well mate.

If we play like this we have nothing to fear next week against Hapoel. Carrying domestic form into Europe is always difficult though because it's so tense and so much is at stake. What a performance from the bhoys!

Believable6 Unbelievable1

10 Aug 2016 23:02:56
This is Brendan Rodgers task. He has introduced a high level of confidence in our domestic game . He has some players playing at a new level. That's what he has to do for next Wednesday, send the players out relaxed but determined to do the job . The Israeli team are not much better than Motherwell and we need to do a job on them at home, at least if we don't destroy them at home we play them away in a 16,000 capacity stadium and a grass pitch .

Why oh why have Celtic given Forrest a new 3 year deal? Watch him disappear again as he now has this lucrative contract in his pocket. Big big mistake as he does not need to prove himself anymore.

Believable8 Unbelievable7

10 Aug 2016 18:01:32
That's a shocking decision the club have made. Can't believe he has pulled the wool over the eyes of another manager.
Allen, Henderson or even Commons might have been a safer gamble?

Agree4 Disagree4

10 Aug 2016 18:14:20
I think Celtic have given James Forrest a new contract because our Manager having talked to him and watched him in games and in training decided it was the right thing to do. I support Brendan Rodgers in what he does and I trust his judgement.

Agree3 Disagree2

10 Aug 2016 18:52:08
I can see why they've done it, why spend money on a player that's going to be back up for Roberts and Sinclair when we have a back up already.

Thoughts on van der vaart ed? You reckon would've been worth a punt before he moved to Shevy's old team? Or do you think he is over the hill.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - He was a cracking player in his day and could have been worth taking a punt on.}

10 Aug 2016 17:00:02
Bit past it now but was Soooo immense in his day like ed says. There was another player at Ajax back in the day who came up with him, another midfielder, can't remember his name but he too was immense (at the time) can't remember who he was, similar name reckon he disappeared. Van der varrt is one that they might go for, more in their bracket.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Aug 2016 17:57:17
I'm sure we were keen on him many years ago when we played Ajax and he looked very impressive, but he was destined for better things? However, I am sure he or someone like Xavi or Gerard would bring on our young players no-end - even if it was for a year or so.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Aug 2016 15:40:07
Not so much Celtic related but the Super Cup Sevilla has set up 3-3-1-3 never seen that one before wouldn't mind us trying that one out very attacking.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

10 Aug 2016 16:57:25
thats the Marcelo Bielsa tactics bravetart, worked well with Chile and Bilbao. McGregor struggles in a 442 never mind that though.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Aug 2016 18:17:30
As most managers use their formation for just the early moments of game and inter change fluidly through out the match, I can never understand how formations merit discussion.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Aug 2016 22:56:03
Real struggled to cope with that Sevilla was really unlucky to lose that game. Was thinking it would be good with Ajer Armstrong and Brown. Be ideal tonight as KT is struggling.

Gordon
Lustig Toure O'Connell
Brown Ajer Armstrong
Rogic
Forrest Dembele Sinclair.

Just posted about Chamakh (sp? ) as a possible free for us to give cover and then was told by mate that Sevco are after him. Don't shoot me down but I do think he could do a job in our league and work well as back up. All my Palace mates can't stand him but reckon he would do ok in our current set up at SPFL level at least. LG suspension tonight highlights how light we are in attacking options. Ciftci and Aitchison seem to be only other options after MD, unless I'm missing someone.

Ayling from Bristol city? Very good right back but dunno if he's needed.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Aug 2016 16:24:39
Got a mate living in Bristol and has a few Bristol city mates who attend a lot of games, well he has informed me that the Ayling guy is worse than club legends like Paul Telfer, Mo Camara, & Danny fox! So I highly doubt any truth in this one Bhoys.

Agree1 Disagree1

10 Aug 2016 18:25:38
In a few weeks time we will have quality centre halves all over the place . I don't think there is any managerial desire to play Lustig at centre back as neither Ronnie or Brendan have done it much.

Agree0 Disagree1

10 Aug 2016 13:42:59
Ed what u think of the Henderson situation, I a big fan of the boy and reading posts so are a lot of others.
If he has to go wudnt it be worth punting him to Aberdeen for eg cheaply and putting in a buy back clause (cheap of course) in case he turned out to be a star, what you think?

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed007's Note - I don't see the point in doing that, it's not as if an Aberdeen or Hibs would quote us £10 million for him. We've already told the player he has no future at the Club and you reckon he's agree to a buy back clause?}

10 Aug 2016 14:27:54
I can't understand it at all but obviously RD and now BR have both formed the opinion that he should be playing elsewhere. He's looked very decent anytime I've seen him play.

Agree1 Disagree1

10 Aug 2016 15:27:37
So technically every club should sell every player with a buy back clause because the player might turn good.

Transfer market is awkward enough without that carry on.

Agree0 Disagree1

10 Aug 2016 17:41:47
Maybe somebody should mention the buy back clause to man Utd lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Aug 2016 18:33:43

Something to do with if someone makes a bid they had the chance to match it and get first choice to speak to him?

Believable4 Unbelievable4

10 Aug 2016 14:13:20
We could have used the 3 years wages on another winger who can actually beat a player and get to the byeline and put a cross in.

Agree6 Disagree2

10 Aug 2016 12:27:03
A lot of players out or doubtful for tonight, am I right that O'Connell is only fully fit centre half? Tierney being doubtful too leaves us very vulnerable. Based on what I think is available, I'd go for Janko, Lustig, O'Connel, Izzy (KT if fit) Rogic Brown Armstrong Forrest with Sinclair and Dembele up front. Didn't realise we had so little available through the suspensions and injuries. Amount of injuries hopefully due to pre-season. Still a bit worrying though.

Daviebhoy, it's good to have the confidence to go without a keeper . Novel way of building up the keeper's confidence by keeping him off the pitch, he won't make mistakes .
I think if this game was of any importance more players would have been declared fit.

My other half is a season ticket holder at Sunderland and Borini is lazy, injury prone and above all crap. He's rated even even worse than Fletcher was in the north east. He won't be coming anywhere near us thank god.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

As the Sunderland team were not noted for hard work Borini must be very lazy if the fans are so down on him . Imagine been described as crap by Sunderland fans.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Borini is far from lazy, he is known for his workrate.}

10 Aug 2016 19:10:58
Have you heard down south Ed001 if any truth in this.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - well the original post is a lie. Clearly full of something brown and smelly as the one thing he is not rated as is lazy. Secondly, Borini fell out with Rodgers at Liverpool, so I would think it highly unlikely, as Rodgers refused to use him, even when all the other strikers were injured.}

10 Aug 2016 11:25:19
Borini being linked with a loan deal? Saw some pages on Facebook talking about this, anyone know if this is true? He's a cracking player but where would he play and who would be dropped for him?

Not directly Celtic related, but does anyone else feel that the English are doing what they do best, wrecking everything they touch, now it's football turn, the money and wages they are paying bang average players is nothing short of scandalous, they have created an artificial playing field based on nothing but t. v. money, it's about time pressure. was put on sky to put things on a much more even keel, if fans in other leagues refused to pay into sky tv until they change the imbalance towards England, and have a much fairer share out of monies, after all we pay the same amount as the English fans do I know we are a much smaller fan base, but if you include Holland, Belgium, the Slovaks, Scandinavians, France, Ireland, Greece, etc, it's time for fans to stand up to sky, hit them in their pockets for a more level playing field, over 47m for stones,89m pogba total madness, might as well play the c. l with 6 or 7 teams. ok rant over., bring on the well.

When I worked at sky many moons ago sky sports had 483000 subscribers and 300000 of them where from Scotland. So where was our share.

Agree0 Disagree3

10 Aug 2016 11:21:51
Not just sky pumping billions in so do we stop watching tv or using phones broadband etc? It is ridiculous but a wee country moaning makes zero difference it will take English fans to stop this madness and reclaim a sense of reality at their clubs before anything happens and I don't see that happening any time soon sadly.

Viva la revolution cancel sky/ bt sports, I have done this now saving over £40 p/ m. Now this money can go towards season book and buy direct form the Celtic store.

I think part of this is that nobody buys a fake picture for a low price. The huge price persuades people it must be genuine. So with a lot of these multi million priced players. All about price, and less about value. A lot of money for some good players, but quite a few donkeys.

The money that Sky put into football in England is so ridiculous that some club would probably pay around £40m for Efe Ambrose.
I heard on radio 5 the other day 2 pundits talking about the Pogba to Man Utd deal, and they were saying that despite selling him for virtually nothing 4 years ago, that now paying £89m to sign him back was really good business by Utd.
When the people involved in football in England are so out of touch with reality you wonder if football in England will ever come to it's senses.

10 Aug 2016 18:42:46
The fact that such a high % of Sky subscribers are Scottish, says more about Scottish Football fans love of the Anglicised game than their home game . If the English clubs wer relying on English only subscriptions, they wouldn't be paying outlandish wages . The Irish are even worse than the Scottish in their support for the EPL.

Robbie Neilson is making himself look foolish.
Fair enough defend your players, but don't completely compromise your integrity.

Never a penalty so no need to get more publicity by engaging in a 'war of words'.

His team played well but; 8 yellow cards, diving for a pen, fans attacking players (allegedly) and we still won.

Hail hail.

If the players were attacked/ assaulted, Celtic should be screaming for establishment to act. The bile-bowl has always been unsafe for fans and players alike - not to mention violence against managers.
Every time the ball goes out of play, you can see the morons lurching over the barrier, snarling all sorts of hate-filled abuse.
Of course we get stick and taunting at every away ground, but that mob are out of control and get away with it time after time.

Typical of that lot! Can't stand that mob! Almost as much as sevco but not quite as much lol! Robbie neilson is a clown! An average player at best and the same as a manager! He sums up everything they represent as a club! And the rubbish he spouts doesn't surprise me in the slightest! Remember that big half wit Craig Leiven is his gaffer! Says it all!

The hatred of the Hearts board, management, players and fans is akin to what the Rangers clubs have . Both Hearts and The Rangers don't deny their hatred of us .
When Lennon was attacked, the Hearts Board, reacted by reducing the Celtic fans allocation . The police and judiciary messed up and Lennon attacker got away lightly.

Just on the Man Utd page and they were talking about possible departures and a few have said they want rid of Januzaj. One of the posters comes out with 'Surely someone will take a £15m punt on him'. I mean seriously the football world has gone made especially the EPL when the now talk of £15m 'punts'. It really puts into perspective how difficult it is for us to compete. Likewise you see that £250m has been spend down there today alone with deals like Stones for £50m, Bolasie for £30m and Ayew for £20.5m. These valuations of average players is killing the game and makes life almost impossible for teams like ours. I tell you what, with the prices down there, if anyone enquired about the likes of KT I would start the bidding at £20m as this is peanuts for these clubs and I genuinely can't think of a better LB in the EPL. I also think it highlights how good a job BR is doing thus far with his recruitment. I think in this market we need to be patient and understand the difficulty we face finding and buying quality players. That said, this is the most positive I've felt about our great club for some time.
What's everyone's thoughts?

Great post Marty, the figures quoted are absolutely crazy. How on earth can bolasie be worth 30mil! It's deceiving, money now doesn't represent the actual ability of the player. Great that rogic has signed a new deal and I really enjoyed the hearts game, and can't wait for the next few and season ahead! Lots of good vibes going round Celtic park!

Everton sell a player and bring two in for the money they got

And so the roundabout continues.

Clubs and markets will become saturated. The 'norm' in England means these type of fees.

Clubs like ours have to sell ourselves in a different fashion:
Potential CL club, game time, medals, fan base, global brand etc
Then we have to shop clever: players who have talent but done little in the game (SS? ) , players who have quality and have achieved what they can elsewhere (kolo? ) and we must look to markets from everywhere to find the potential stars of the future, and finally we must offer state of the art facilities to develop talent.

As fans we must:
recognise our place in the pecking order
Allow youth to make mistake and progress from them
Realise our massive budget ( in Scottish) terms is largely insignificant in the uk/ top level.

The board must:
Be sensible with the quality vs quantity aspect
Be upfront with the fans
Don't short change us with false promises

What I see so far this season looks good, be patient and see where BR can take us.

Hail hail.

When did City give Utd 90m? Lol. Look, they can afford to do it. We can't. We're in a different game. If we could, I'm not sure everybody would complain. I can see why it might be frustrating to some - us being a big fish in a little pond, whilst money has given goldfish the whole ocean. But life's a b*tch.

Your post is bang on the money MartyC. It is also the reason why I despair when some of our support don't quite appreciate the difficulties of getting in quality players from a market that has been grossly over-inflated by the EPL.

In one sentence. I blame sky TV. The money the club's make down there for winning the league is outrageous, even the relegated teams get a huge sum. The team promoted to the premiership in England get a scary about. All figures we can't compete with. Btw I love football being on TV but surely they will have to cap fees for players before too long.

Agree1 Disagree1

10 Aug 2016 12:02:58
Personally I take more satisfaction out of our club signing unknowns and turning them into players.
Wanyama was a great example and we made a packet.
Spending big on players never really works for us either, berkovic and schiedt are just 2 to name.

Even the king himself only cost us 600k. Imagine what he would fetch now. These clubs are losing there identities and don't want to give youth a chance so they prefer to sign ready made players which I guess is just part of football nowadays.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Aug 2016 13:53:43
Tick these managers don't bring youth through because they have no long term plan for the club because the manager will be gone himself inside 3 years so they are only looking after themselves. Chelsea have about 60 players out on loan. What I can't understand is where all these players go?

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Aug 2016 06:23:07
The transfer fees between English clubs are not based on how good the player is, it's based on how much the selling team can afford to knock back and how badly the buying club want him. The fact they have this megabucks TV deal now means that teams like Bournemouth and Crystal Palace have enough money to be able to knock back bids of £20/ 25M. It's obscene.
