I see people calling for Dembele and Griffiths. can anyone see a team where they would both play. Would it be 3-5-2. Could KT play left in a five man midfield? BR says it can't work. what do others think?

Apparently this is how Chelsea are turning their season around. Think to get the wee man in the team we'd have to lose a good attacking midfielder. any thoughts?

1.) 25 Oct 2016 22:19:47
We already play a 3-2-4-1 when we attack. Sinclair takes the left Centre att-mid position whilst rogic on the right. Griff would slot in there comfortably. However, he's a goalscoring striker, and he'll just have to bid his time and take his opertunity when it comes just like MD had to.

2.) 26 Oct 2016 08:02:16
I am happy with our system and see no reason to change it at the moment. Griffith's will just have to be patient and ready to take his chance when it comes.

3.) 26 Oct 2016 08:23:51
Don't need to turn our season round tho n a think he will just rotate rogic with griffiths if he needs to and with dembele aswell.

4.) 26 Oct 2016 11:39:34
If it into broke don't fix it.
We are winning games scoring goals of why change?

5.) 26 Oct 2016 13:27:28
Dont see a reason to change the system completely but surely there is scope for them to start the odd game together.

6.) 26 Oct 2016 13:47:52
Same here, Tick. They linked up well on sunday. Domestically, there's certainly scope for them to play together, and as we've seen in spells I'm sure they will. Europe is a no though, I'm with BR on that one.

7.) 26 Oct 2016 15:41:26
If we play two up front on Griffith's behind dembele would mean dropping one of Forrest, Sinclair or rogic.

8.) 26 Oct 2016 17:14:09
Or drop biton. 41212 in the league would surely play well?

Midfield of
DM: Brown
Wings: Sinclair/ Forrest/ Roberts
AM: Rogic/ Christie/ Armstrong
ST: Dembele Griffiths

Just thinking about the rotation of players. 9 games in a month will be tough. That's the reason for change Kev.

9.) 26 Oct 2016 17:21:24
I was just going to say, or drop Bitton lol. Broony has played the central defensive sweeper pretty well when asked.

10.) 26 Oct 2016 17:40:33
Defo Jim on the European stage 1 up is fine but the odd game domestically I would take Bitton out.

COYBIG.

11.) 26 Oct 2016 18:01:11
You're right there JimTim. Upped his game a lot this season! Must have a point to prove!

Thanks Ed.

{Ed007's Note - No probs (yes)

2.) 15 Sep 2016 18:43:44
Oh dear Barton has been banished by sevco for fighting with Halliday and other players before this latest incident, now who would've thought he was a troublemaker? lol.

3.) 15 Sep 2016 19:03:01
Shockeroony! Do you mean the wee closet republican Joseph Anthony has had a disagreement with Halliday who was brought up on Copeland Road and had a season ticket at the asbestosdrome for 16 years! Even at 51 years of age I can still be shocked. That was pure Glasgow sarcasm by the way.

4.) 15 Sep 2016 19:22:56
Guys I was going to post something about their finances and gossip I had heard about them baulking at paying Bartons big wage. My tim pal devours everything online and told me these meaty morsels.
We all know they are only existing on "soft loans" ie money supposedely from King and his directors and "others" My pal says King is unable to fund very much himself, as he has an agreement to tell the South African tax people if any of his money leaves the country. The SA authorities must then OK any cash leaving the country which is highely unlikely.
Next comes the money from directors etc. they were happy to fund some loans but are now starting to reign back on their promises of more cash.
It is the "other loans" which appear to be from some dodgy characters who have no great love of Sevco, but are apparently getting very high interest on their loans. This is eating into large chunks of the clubs cash, add that to all their ongoing legal expenses also.
The spin doctors have assured the gullible that any money needed will be made available but this may now prove to be less than truthful. They also claim as we are all aware of "being debt free" but my pal says some more knowledgable people on line have said a company CAN still be put into administration even if claiming to have no debts, IF THE MONEY STOPS COMING IN, ie the "soft loans" cease.
I posted and others as well about Sevco letting a lot of young promising players go to free up the wages for Barton and Krancjar.
Sevco now want to STOP PAYING Barton his big wages and this "disclipanary" action is the first step.
In summary they are rapidly running out of money streams and are in deep doodoo.

5.) 15 Sep 2016 19:32:37
What can one say JFP? I was shocked and stunned that Joseph wouldn't be welcome at The Bigot Dome, maybe Halliday took exception to Joseph having pictures on his locker of his First Communion? I'm surprised that they could actually fight each other the way both their knuckles drag along the ground, seemingly most of the other players backed up Halliday and the Great Warbiola had to do a magic trick and break it up lol.

6.) 15 Sep 2016 19:32:55
I know a player who is pally with JB. Met him on a couple nights out too, he thinks he's some sort of 70's rock and roll star who can treat anybody, anything, or any place as he likes. This is not a surprise at all. Halliday just looks like your grade A h*n prick too mind. I must admit, this has all happened a little bit sooner than I anticipated though. I gave him until christmas, when the cigars are all handed out at the big bear bash.

7.) 15 Sep 2016 19:45:50
Doesn't surprise me in the slightest! The guys is and always will be a lowlife of the highest order! Everyone of the that mob rejoiced when they signed him, which sums them and there club up! A convicted criminal who beats up youngsters and causes trouble at every club he's been at! Now listen to the stuff he says about there club! That will be him back to supporting the champions again! I for one can't stop laughing at it! With that and the nonsense the magic hat has been spouting its cheered me up after Tuesday lol!

8.) 15 Sep 2016 19:50:28
A wonder if the wee snake will be back on Alan brazils show to spit the dummy about how he's been targeted up here n everybody hates him because he's so much better. Even his team mates hate him, when he slated every player in scotland a think he was that daft he never realised he was slaggin his own team mates too.

9.) 15 Sep 2016 20:03:41
I'll not be surprised if The Magic Pratt doesn't walk away like Fat Sally at some point during the season, he's already had broken promise's off King of huge warchest's that don't exist, it's also strange why him and Weir haven't moved their families up from down south if they're meant to be in it for the long haul.

10.) 15 Sep 2016 20:13:48
Exactly steph. It takes some person to walk into a new club stating they're the best player at that club, never mind the league. When you consider that club has just been promoted to the top division, it makes it more laughable. Not even the best player for the Rangers, and look what we did to them.

11.) 15 Sep 2016 22:10:38
Jim i don't think they can afford a crimbo bash this year, what if they had a facepainter at it for the weans? HE WOULDN'T GET PAID lol.

12.) 15 Sep 2016 22:39:34
Stories emerging online tonight ed that during the aftermath of the fight that Barton shouted at Warburton "My son is older than this club" lol.

13.) 15 Sep 2016 22:49:29
get this

officially NO COMMENT from Ragers.

seemed to have a comment on everything a few days ago

after 4 years of unsurpassed dignity eh.

Bust ups at training ground are nothing new - remember Hartson and the wee israli playmaker (cant remember his name) when they were at west ham - all pals at celtic tho

still funny tho.

14.) 16 Sep 2016 00:14:50
It seems so uncivilised, imagine fighting and brawling, doesn't it put banners and efigies in their true place. Will Rangers players start bringing minders to training as protection, from what I hear this row had a sectarian base, if so this is the first time at a Scottish Football Club . To think that Rangers Football club were liquidated and died . The Scottish media reported this widely . The Scottish Football Authorities bent over backwards to get this cheating sectarian bigoted entititty on the road again . We ail knew this was wrong and would bring disaster to Scottish Football within four years we have their bile on the terraces, even fans invading pitches, now we have sectarian fighting on training field . When will it all end, when they are liquidated and they get rid of tax cheat King.

15.) 16 Sep 2016 08:18:28
that's the type of person you are old boy, total idiot if you think that celtic display was alright. no place in Scotland.

16.) 16 Sep 2016 10:36:22
I find it amazing that after any event, people pop up on here and the sevco sites saying they heard this, heard that. Not a ****ibg word prior to the incidents, just after.

Aye, I heard it was sectarian. I heard he was causing trouble all year blah ****ing blah. Oh really? Funny how people have mates who have told them stuff from the horses mouth but they keep that info to themselves until an opportunity to shoehorn it in pops up.

They have plenty to argue about other than religion.

So old bhoy I put your info into the same bracket. 2+2nyst mean 5.

As for the effigies?

That can never be condoned or excuses or comparisons made to reduce it's harm.

Shameful and idiotic and as usual gives our enemies ammunition.

Oh btw, my mate told me it was all about wages and Bartons love of burning £20 notes in front of Holiday.

And he should know because he always tells me stuff after events that make sense. if you believe anything.

17.) 16 Sep 2016 21:51:54
Cee, I didn't see all the Celtic display, I didn't see the effigies of the dolls at the time of the match, so really I cannot comment on them .

On a less serious matter J Barton has gone up in my estimation, he had a fortnight Halliday, struggled around the middle of the pitch at Celtic Park and has got another Halliday for almost a week and gets about £20k a week.

Smoke and Mirrors.
Be prepared for a serious arse-kicking in the CL.

Prodigal Bhoy

1.) 31 Aug 2016 20:29:17
Yeah cause spending 15 million on players will change that.

2.) 31 Aug 2016 20:53:50
Not sure where i said spend £15m on a player?
Thought maybe with the money sloshing around CP we could have brought in a solid buy. Think we are short of a striker. Ciftci not for me. Also. real creative midf might have been nice but we may be ok. Defence good now Jozo on way back.
You are happy. i am not but by all means spend the remainder of the evening having a pop at people who have a right to be miffed wonderboy.
And we will get badly exposed in CL.

3.) 31 Aug 2016 21:23:32
Your post assumes that because no one came in were going to get pumped, i'm for one are happy with the business that has been done so far, from manager to signings, ain't going to change because we ain't spending tonight, could throw 50 mill into our team and the values still won't come close to the other 2 in our group, i think well do ok, but then i'm an optimist,

26 Aug 2016 09:15:47
So. on the Bbc Sport website it quotes Lawwell as saying he would like to bring in one more player. not 'at least' one more. and that there are no guarantees.
That could well be it. one more player and he's sitting on a pretty penny. Ok, yes let's wait and see but i am not hopeful.

Prodigal Bhoy

1.) 26 Aug 2016 09:47:22
Pb every paper or quote I've seen he says at least one signing intimating there could be more than one.

2.) 26 Aug 2016 21:42:58
Think it was worded that one was guaranteed. They must have had someone lined up with the view of signing with CL qualification. Can see a few more coming maybe one loan and one buy.

25 Aug 2016 17:59:36

Correction. looks like we paid £3m for Jozo. selling for €4.5m. Tidy business really. Why are Torino so desperate to sign a guy who has been on the treatment table for the vast percentage of the year.
I am smelling something big coming for us. so hope i am correct.

Disappointed if this is true. Dare i say it. thought he looked a good player. Emergence of O'Connell has done for him i guess. Did we not pay the thick end of £5m for him. would want to see that back and a serious signing before tomorrow midnight.

For rest has been putting on a crazy effort since the season started. I watched him bust a gut against Astana tracking back. This is the absolute minimum BR is requiring. It works too. For rest will need to consistently beat his man and find the cross as the end product. Personally I think he Wi lose interest or pick up an injury. From BRs point of view he came and was faced with these Euro qualifiers. What could he do but get them all on side till we get through this and then I am sure the new faces will arrive and certain people will go. He has done brilliantly so far man management wise.

Forrest has been a pleasant surprise this season. but he seems to be going backwards at the moment. When the chips are down, ie Borussia he loses confidence and seems scared to go on the outside and beat the man, instead preferring to cut inside and look for an 'out' pass. Roberts will try to beat his man all day long, but. he prefers to cut inside too, more effectively than Forrest. Roberts for me and the way Guardiola is binning players at MC, I would love it if we could sneak him.

Played 60, manager pulled him off when he went to three at the back. the 60 was pre-planned i think. Jozo looked good. Reads game well, passes well. Got to get his fitness up now. BR very impressed with him judging by his comments. Would have been a real shame to have lost this guy to Torino.
