Well done on Livi winning Brendan! Shows the difference between us and the huns. They think they have had an amazing start to the season and we think our start has been p! sh.

They are behind us in the league.

Sevco mentality - win a couple of games and they are world beaters! Did the same last season under Murty as well.

If we had started the season in top form, they would be wanting gerrard sacked for the return of the Murty, onwards and upwards bhoys!

Thoughts on today's game: should have won but obvious reason why we didn't.

Thought a few players played poor;
Broonie - sent off probably rightly so but could argue about how dangerous the challenge was. Out with that though I thought he had a poor game, so many misplaced passes it was frustrating.
Big Erik - also pretty poor and looked quite dodgy at the back
Forrest and mcgregor - thought they were non existent
Simo, Armstrong and KT, our best players I thought.
MD and TR - more about game time and fitness
SS - quiet today but still looked dangerous whenever on the ball

Thought the formation didn't go with the team if u know what I mean, Forrest and mcgregor ain't wing backs and whilst KT played well, his strength is bombing down the left.

Anyway, still undefeated and the team still keeping the unbeaten run going. Despite the officials best attempts to derail it 😛😛.

id agree with everything marty apart from browns tackle . 10 mins earlier its a yellow card
the ref went for yellow at first then the county players started pushing and manhandling brown so he goes for red totally shocking decisicions mate . if the officials were in poor positions then fine but as i understand they were in good positions to see everything.

2.) 17 Apr 2017 08:13:49
Browns tackle was a definitely red card, don't let the fact that the ref got the pen decision wrong cloud your judgement. If any player in any other team in the SPFL did that against any of our players we'd all be saying it's a straight red.
Also let's be 100% honest, Brown has stayed on the pitch when he's been deserving of a straight red/ second yellow in the past so how do you explain that if all the refs and SFA are all anti Celtic and think up schemes during lodge meetings?

Jermain defoe - would u take him? Prob going to be relegated, don't think he would cost much due to his age and possible relegation release clause.

Had a brilliant season and called up to englNd. Later stages of career so some medals and trophies might attract him and although he would want a good salary I think he has made his money in US and premier league. Also would be brilliant experience in the team for the moose to learn more from.

Thoughts?

I would think that Defoe has ambitions to go to the World cup.
I can't see him coming here as he'll be advised that playing in the SPL would be a step down and would hinder his chances of being selected.

2.) 06 Apr 2017 15:35:31
I really like Defoe but he'd be an expensive back-up, plus for that reason I doubt he would come. He'll no doubt stay in England possibly finishing back with West Ham?

Not sure what I prefer - humping them like the first game or breaking their wee hearts with a late goal! They would have celebrated going into extra time as a tactical master show from the bread man so think I will always prefer a late winner! GIRUY!

Marty88

1.) 23 Oct 2016 22:30:12
There's nothing like scoring a late winner against them, there's no feeling like it.
I've not seen the match on TV, but at the ground I couldn't see anything wrong with the goal we had ruled out, it's things like that which puts doubts in your mind and you start to wonder if it's one of those games when everything goes against us.
I thought as the match went on we became more and more dominant, it says a lot for the fitness of the players as we had a tough match on Wednesday whilst they hadn't played for nine days.
I wonder what excuses Warburton will come up with this time, I don't imagine he'd have the good grace to admit that the best team won.

2.) 24 Oct 2016 00:36:41
Nothing wrong with the goal at all, Another honest mistake!

3.) 24 Oct 2016 12:14:44
There wasn't a reason to disallow the goal. It was clear Eric had eyes only for the ball. On the other hand over the hill, Hill made a couple of attempts to pull Eric away as Hill dived for the ground . I find it hard to believe that Thompson didn't see it as a legitimate goal but disallowed it anyway.

4.) 24 Oct 2016 18:58:28
Gerry they would never admit anything of the sort. We know the truth n that's all that matters.

Could be something in Snodgrass returning. I know his cousin who told me last season that Snodgrass has always wanted to play for Celtic as he is a lifelong fan so if that's the case then maybe wages don't matter as he will have made a good amount.

As a Celtic fan, if there was ever a time to move to your boyhood club then it's now, champions league football and a possibility to be part of 10 in a row.

Thirdly, I've heard that him and Graeme Dorra s are best mates and he's up here now as well so might be a reason to play against him in an old firm?

How good is it though that we can now confidently say no to a possible £10 million bid. Previous years we would be biting their hand off so we could break even due to no champions league revenue!

Simunovic, sviatchenko, tierney, Sinclair, Dembele - wouldn't see any of them leaving for under £10 million

Armstrong, Rogic - possibly in that bracket soon. Other first team players not mentioned I dint see leaving - brown, lustig, Gordon.

Good player who I would always have said yes to signing but do we need him? We only play one striker and have two good ones fighting for the position.

Hmmm fair enough ed! Wasn't aware of that. I know you aren't expecting much from him with what you hve been saying, I haven't seen much of the guy at all so have no idea if he will do well or not. We can look at it two ways, club showing no ambition by signing free transfer or club being sensible by minimising risk from, previous strikers by getting a free transfer in! Hope the guy comes good as we were all wary when we signed lee griffiths so might be another?

Marty88

{Ed007's Note - The only time I can remember hearing his name was for the wrong reasons. Why sign him 6 months after signing Ciftci and put Ciftci out on loan. We all know RD is meticulous in his planning so where are these bizarre short term deals coming from?
Without major investment in the squad during the summer I'm afraid the CL demanders are going to be very disappointed. Instead of losing deadwood we seem to be collecting more and more.}

Stan, I was thinking the same thing today except I had Ryan Christie in there as well so whole midfield was Celtic players!

I might be wrong with this but didn't Petrov do something similar. He signed a new contract and was then sold, rumour was that he signed the contract so Celtic could get a good fee for him?

Might be similar thing here?

Or I might have made that up.

Should be on in Heraghtys and Kelly's in strathbungo. Sweeney at the park, the Georgic, linen are all pubs that show the football, should get it in any of them.

CB definitely with Caulker looking like the man which is fine for me! Still think we will sign paddy Roberts but only if we qualify for champions league. Reckon if he shines there then he would be away next summer. Still need another striker but no idea who!

Marty88

{Ed007's Note - I seen earlier that Guardiola has said youngsters at City will not be given much of an opportunity to play for the first team next season.}

Loved the comeback against Kilmarnock at rugby park when Andy Thom, di canio and cadets did the business in the bumble bee strip! That stand definitely was shaking!
