Mikey Johnstone had a hunger in his belly today and he played extremely well. Dembele had Celtic park on their feet like I haven’t seen in a long time. Boy has the world at his feet. Hope he knuckles down and the club use him properly.
One more game and then a massive summer for us.
Manager to be decided. Neil Lennon isn’t my first choice probably not even top 3 but I do think the stick he gets on here is ridiculous. We were playing horrible football under Rodgers for the whole season before Lennon came in.
A lot of players leaving, thankfully it’s a lot of players we are happy to see the back of. I don’t know if I’m setting myself up for disappointment but I’m really excited to see what the club do this summer. Really hope we push the boat out with manager, director of football and players and push on to a whole other level. Proud of the Bhoys today after a hard season. This is how it feels to be Celtic.

Setting up for disappointed? ? Wow! I'm definitely on the wrong hym sheet. Going for a Treble Treble is such a downer eh😥😭Feck celebrating with you Mr Insch high private eye.

2.) 19 May 2019 21:55:52
Hopefully not disappointed by the summer recruitment, as previous transfer windows have been crap. Pretty rational thinking i'd say. Everyone loves going for the treble treble, haven't heard anyone saying they aren't buzzing for that.

3.) 19 May 2019 22:45:31
Previous transfer windows have been crap but we’re going for a treble treble? 🤔.

4.) 20 May 2019 09:21:21
Your right COYBIG the last windows have been great😂👍 let's say a little prayer we can have as good summer transfer window this summer😴.

5.) 20 May 2019 09:56:10
I thought Bain and Edouard were excellent signings in a window where we held onto the vast majority of our squad and managed to pick up over £25M for those who left. I would be delighted with a similar window and another treble next year but, hey, I guess I’m just easy pleased.

6.) 20 May 2019 10:25:05
I guess our views of a successful transfer window for Celtic differ greatly. But glad you enjoyed it👍.

7.) 20 May 2019 11:46:39
We made acquisitions that turned out very good. However at time most were underwhelmed and didn't feel specific positions were addressed over a few windows. These positions are still needing addressed. From a financial standpoint it was good but from the point of strengthening the team and progression not so much imo.

Just in from the game, what a feeling, watching those animals celebrate their equaliser just made it that much sweeter when Forrest slotted home. Up at 4am for work tomorrow but i will be smiling all day long. Daughters second birthday yesterday and a win for the Bhoys. This is how it feels to be Celtic and I just can’t get enough.

InschBhoy agreed today was better than a 5-0 humping. We built their hopes up then poked them in the eye with minutes to go. Stuff that dreams are made of! 👍☘️.

2.) 31 Mar 2019 23:53:46
It was the perfect finish but I have to admit, that’s the most stressful Glasgow Derby I’ve experienced in a long time. Could’ve done with some beta blockers for most of the second half. As controversial as it may sound, i’m going to give slippy G a bit of credit for giving us a really tough game even when they were down to 10 men. He’s not the tactical genius I would worry too much about but he managed to get them fighting (in more ways than one) so it’s definitely a departure from the spineless lot we pumped regularly the last two years.

3.) 01 Apr 2019 11:01:56
cowbig we got out of jail today, this could have went tits up.
neil made some major mistakes today and if that lot had a wee bit more in them they could have walked away with 3 points. i am a huge fan of the wee man but i don't think he is the man to take us to another level, i truly hope am wrong but we need to be looking at new direction.

4.) 01 Apr 2019 21:40:39
Dunno, Robroy, I had concerns before half time that complacency was creeping into our game. It’s hard to say if that was the problem or it was the changes NL made. At one point I did seriously wonder if watching it could be health risk for someone of my age.

Hi Ed007, if you’ve got the time just wanted to hear your take on The premier league window shutting. Are you happy we didn’t sell Boyata? Or can you see a European club coming in for him, same question with Dembele really, do you think that means we will have him this season or could he move abroad? Cheers.

InschBhoy

{Ed007's Note - I'm glad the English window's closed because it cuts off probably THE biggest threat to keeping our players but Dembele and Boyata aren't from the UK so the Pub League isn't the be all and end all of football to them and and no doubt both will have their suitors on the continent.
I'm also happy that it's shut and we can hopefully bring in a couple of players to strengthen the squad and to give everyone a lift after the past couple of days.}

1.) 10 Aug 2018 20:42:25
I hope we get a big signing in before Tuesday just to lift everyone a bit. It would be a big finger up to the press and might just keep magicpole off the anti depressants.

ED just wanted to know if you had any insight regarding Dembele? Is he set to leave this summer? He doesn't give off the impression that he is in a hurry to go and like you said his agent and himself seem to put playing regularly over silly money moves? Would you be surprised to see Dembele here for all of next season?

InschBhoy

{Ed007's Note - The Club would like Dembele to sign an extension and like every other window Dembele is in no great hurry to leave. I wouldn't be surprised to see him still here but I wouldn't be surprised if he left either, it's too early to call it really.}

1.) 02 May 2018 16:04:55
Thank you very much Ed.

{Ed007's Note - You're welcome buddy (yes)

2.) 02 May 2018 22:48:35
Longs left on his contract ed? 2 or 3 years?

{Ed007's Note - Two years, Steph.}

3.) 02 May 2018 23:55:50
So if he signs an extension this year he might just fancy staying for the 10, he seems to see the bigger picture in his career so that might be of some value to him. 🙏.

{Ed007's Note - Dembele's happy and settled, it would take a lot to prise him away from Celtic, Steph, he has absolutely no interest in warming anyone's bench and even less interest in playing for a team not challenging for honours. You're spot on about playing football being his prime motive, if it was money he''d have went elsewhere instead of us and left after a year. Even clubs that have enquired about him and even held informal talks playing time is always the priority.}

4.) 03 May 2018 00:59:04
Not surprising but still good to hear. Cheers edwina 👍.

Hello Ed hope your well, if you have the time just wanted to know if there has been any more discussions or information released regarding the European super league you spoke of in the past. In your opinion is that more likely to happen than Celtic ever moving to England . Thanks for your time.

InschBhoy

{Ed007's Note - A proposal to bring the timescale forward was rejected at last month's ECA meeting in Monaco.}

1.) 03 Oct 2015 22:04:06
Thank you.

{Ed007's Note - (yes)

Players develop at different rates so yes he still has time to reach his potential. The older he gets the better his decision making will be. Ferguson is a great young player but you can’t compare Ferguson and Mikey just because they are a similar age. Mikey loves to dribble at players and sometimes we look so pedestrian passing for the sake of it we need players like him. I would love to see Celtic developing our own players and when players like Ferguson come along get them in. Turnbull Ferguson mcgregor midfield would be really good balance.

Mikey is a good player why do people bash him so much? Yes he’s not the finished article but he’s got a lot of potential and he’s been injured most of this season when we’ve been crying out for wingers.

If Scott Brown has done that to Kent do you think the bbc would of reported it as a shove? It’s a joke. Ajer is progressing amazingly and can become a world class player if he continues. Build the defence around him and Tierney for years to come.

The teams form has nothing to do with Rodgers leaving, the form under Rodgers this season has been bad. We scraped past hearts with Neil Lennon in charge, they beat us 1-0 at tynecastle with Rodgers in charge. We beat Hibs in the cup 2-0 with lennon we got beat 2-0 by them with Rodgers. People say we hit form after the winter break but we were under performing prior to that. Since the turn of they year Rodgers team beat Airdrie, st mirren, st Johnstone, Hamilton, Hibs and Motherwell all at paradise. Kilmarnock and st Johnstone away from home. I can’t imagine much of us expected anything but wins in those games. I appreciate some people don’t want Neil Lennon and he wouldn’t be my first choice but considering the form our team have been in I don’t think we can criticise Lennon for his matches. Ed007 have you heard anything else on the manager front? Please rule out David Moyes for me.

Keep:
Gordon
Bain
Lustig
Tierney
Ajer
Hendry
Ralston
Ntcham
Rogic
Mcgregor
Forrest
Roberts
Sinclair
Hayes
Masounda
Dembele
Griffiths
Edouard

Sell:
Bitton
Simunovic
Boyata
Gamboa
Armstrong ( keep if he wants to stay sell if he wants to go)
Allan ( good riddance)
Ciftci ( good riddance)
Sviatchenko (Rodgers doesn’t rate)
Dorus

Loan:
Miller
Aitchison
Hazard

If we spent all of our budget on a centre back to partner Ajer and a fitter right back then I would be happy.

Ed, do you know if Steven caulker is still on our radar or has that ship sailed?
