Whoever we sign, I only hope we get a player or two with a bit of presence and dig as well as ability. If and when we meet power and aggression we are really light -weight in midfield and defense and although Sinclair, Forrest, Rogic, McGregor etc have plenty skill - when allowed to play they are easily outmuscled and weak in the tackle, Not looking to change our philosophy, just need a bit more protection and ball winning as Broony can't do it on his own and he's not getting any younger.

Player with a bit of dig won't get using that ability at Celtic, as refs will have him carded every time.

The biggest Achilles heel for Sevco is always overhype and them and their lacky’s thinking they are world beaters. They aren’t, but let’s not kid ourselves on they aren’t better than the rubbish they were last year. They are better defensively, their midfield has been improved too. Morelos is scoringvandcwe know Lafferty can score against us. We need to be prepared for the increased threat but not be scared of it.

We are better than them, if we sort the defence then we are much better.

My motto is never underestimate your enemies. Never think because you beat them before you will again. You need to be prepared to up the ante. Now so far we haven’t and that has given them increased hope which is a big mistake.

Sort the defence and we will win, maybe not 5.0 probably only 4.0. But don’t delude oursrlves they aren’t more of s threat. Hearts bullied us and beat us. They will try to do the same, because they are better than Hearts

Their overconfidence will be their biggest weakness. It always is.

Totally dominant as expected today but took a while to turn total superiority into, almost the scoreline it merited - indeed it took a wee fright to jolt them into top gear.
Still think we need more pace, speed of pass and directness, but a lot of things were encouraging today considering the changes Gamboa came onto a great game in their half of the field but lacks height/ strength in defence and lost a few challenges. Izzy was like he'd never been away and gave the very influential Sinclair great support.
Griff and Moose did what they're paid for and Rogic who was in second gear for most of the game should have had more goals.
I still think we have defensive issues but if we can get back on song in front of goal and capitalise on all the possession we have every game - we can out score any opponent and that would do me fine until we get the defence stronger and settled. Great way to end a disappointing week and a wee timed 'clamp' to detractors and Huns.

To get back to Christie for a minute:- BR stated as early as last season that he saw Christie in his plans and he had a future at Celtic? Here we are a year on and not only is he not wanted, but he is being loaned out for the third season in a row. Why are we continually paying and subsidising a player that clearly is not wanted. These type of players should be punted for hard cash - not farmed out like a youth player who needs experience.

Forrest, Cal-Mac, Christie, McGinn and Ntcham would have been a formidable five.

Of course they are improving - anyone that seen them last season under a trio of managers including jimmy Nichols knows full well they could not get any worse. The quality of player is definitely not as good as us but they are building up team spirit with a run of results that has the media and sevco sympathisers foaming at the mouth. There is no doubt we are not fully firing on all cylinders and have had a few distractions but when we return to our best form and fitness and get our focus and finesse back we will see that there is still a gap in class and ability.

There are a few good and accurate points above and we are definitely not at our best - or have been all year on one way or another - apart from a few highlights. That brings me to a possible reason for part of the current situation. We have went two full glorious seasons - one invincible - that will never be equalled and the next scooping up all domestic honours for a record double treble. This brings with it a subconscious complacency and over confidence that can make players lazy and careless at times and to be honest the only time we seemed to play anywhere near our best was when there was something at stake like a cup final or league decider and we need to rediscover the hunger, consistency and drive like we saw in the last 15 minutes a time firhill and of course take steps to sort out a defense that cannot keep clean sheets no matter who the opponent. There is still plenty of time to bring on a couple of decent players to freshen up and improve but on a brighter note - delighted The Moose is back and the play of Izzy linking with Sinclair was very influential and Gamboa (going forward) showed Forrest how to get to the beeline and cross = goal.

As long as honest mistake merchants and cheats like Thomson and Beaton allow this thuggery Brown or any other target in hoops is in danger of serious injury.
