Anyone doubting Edouard needs to reevaluate. He is absolute quality with the ball at his feet. Won that game with two moments of real quality. Unfortunately we'll cash in on him down the line. Guarantee it will be for a whole lot more than Morelos!

Lennon is doing a fine job given the carnage left behind by Rodgers departure. You could see Rodgers slow build up infecting that performance today. NL has done remarkably well to keep the wheels from falling off. He has not risked stability with a major overhaul of BRs imprint on the players. Plenty of new managers would have let their egos get in the way. NL understands exactly what is at stake.

Hope he gets it permanently as he has his heart and soul invested in our club. Oh, and he has proved himself a very capable manager in Europe.

We were terrible today . Lennons team now. Lennon tactics / direction nobody else's. but 3 pts none the less.

2.) 17 Mar 2019 16:25:42
To be fair, Dundee’s set up was so defensive that instead of pressing our centre halves he was pressing our center kids. meaning 11 men behind the ball, all camped in the final third.

No excuses though. We struggled against them, and dare I say it, got a bit lucky.

3.) 17 Mar 2019 16:50:57
Carnage! Lennon has been handed an opportunity to be at the helm for a treble. Something he didn’t manage once.

Great player, decent manager but if he is the next permanent manager then it’s a severe backward step for Celtic. So lucky we had an 8 point lead and that Sevco are rotten.

Instead of rejoicing in our dominant position we will have a summer of rebuilding.

Rodgers was the best British manager out there, so only option is a foreign manger with some pedigree, who though? No idea to be honest.

4.) 17 Mar 2019 17:12:05
Lennon, is not the man for the job, apart from 20 mins in the Hibs game we have been shockingly bad. Get Rose In and stop messing about.

5.) 17 Mar 2019 18:59:12
There have been shocking performances many times this season, this is still Brendan's team, will take them a while to play the way Lennon wants, still can't forgive Rodgers for playing McGregor at fullback at Ibrox, think he was coming to the end of his purple patch and got out when the going was good, there is obviously an anti Lennon clique on these pages, think he should be given a few more games untill you start slaughtering him,

6.) 17 Mar 2019 20:51:18
Does anyone think that Lennon could be a first team coach to a manager or a number 2 to a high profile manager? He’d still make better money than managing a Hibs or similar. And as we know he loves the clubs but we have seen his ideas in the flesh and they weren’t ever ground breaking or scintillating. Lot of love for NL but he got lucky today and I’m worried that it’s a step down as apposed to up or even side ways.

7.) 17 Mar 2019 21:19:54
The departure of Rodgers was indeed carnage. The club was in meltdown off the park. Lennon came in and won two extremely difficult games that has completely steadied the ship.

3 away wins and a home draw with 1 goal conceded.

Those two victories gave Sevco absolutely no cause for optimism. They were critical wins that knocked the psychological stuffing out of them.

8.) 17 Mar 2019 21:36:37
Agree Aindoh 100% a bit more respect for Neil Lennon the man who played for us and who has come to our assistance in our hour of need selflessly without any concern about his own ego and motivated purely by a love of the club and a bit less respect for the man who departed us with no concern about Celtic who fed us lies and platitudes for three years might be in order. I also think discussing whether he’s up to the job and who his successor may be is disappointing and disrespectful while the man attempts to deliver a treble treble and ten in a row. Maybe we’re just becoming as shallow a support as the Huns. Anyway Happy St Pattrcks day Goodnight and God Bless. ☘️.

9.) 18 Mar 2019 06:22:08
Jfp I get your point mate but surely if wee have big ambitions to really kick on wee must be thinking about a new manager . He who hings aboot gettith hee haw time to is now .

02 Mar 2019 21:12:56
For the life of me, cannot understand the negativity from some of the support over Lennon becoming permanent manger. Better win rate than Rodgers, superior European record and absolutely no doubt about his commitment to the club.

Careful what you wish for. He has successfully negotiated two of the hardest fixtures this season, and on the back of an absolute bombshell dropping on the club.

{Ed007's Note - I think some people are forgetting the problems at the Club the last tine Lennon was manager, the only difference is Lee Congerton is now in the John Park role, Peter Lawwell still holds the power and probably the past week has strengthened that further. Neil Lennon will still have to work to the same constraints as last time, limited budget and very little say in transfer targets, like Rodgers he will still only have Congerton's info and list to choose from.
If it wasn't good enough for Lennon in 2014 why would it be good enough now? If Lennon does get the job the exact same problems will arise - not before he's claimed the glory of the 10 though.}

1.) 02 Mar 2019 22:12:06
Ed give Lennon the permanent job now and make John Kennedy his assistant. No more false teeth or suntans. 👍.

{Ed007's Note - Can you imagine if Lennon rocked up with new teeth and a suntan with the ginger napper intact? #trendsetter #minirylan

2.) 02 Mar 2019 23:52:02
That's true but not exactly lennons fault there is constraints.

It kinda feels more ridiculous going out our way to bring in a higher profile manager then only give him £2m players and selling their best.

3.) 03 Mar 2019 07:16:46
Peter Lawwell will be Peter Lawell . His time at Celtic reflects on one of Celtic's most successful times ever . Managers have to find a way to wirk with P Lawwell not against him . B R meant there were two very big ego's at Celtic . Most people knew there was room for only one and so one had to go B R.

4.) 03 Mar 2019 09:09:11
See your still going with the only 2 million pound players myth tesla.

Ed hasn't Lennon already got a new set of nashers?

{Ed007's Note - Yeah but it wasn't as drastic as Rodgers' Methadone Mick-esque transformation.}

5.) 03 Mar 2019 11:52:47
I'm talking about on average. We go for players round about 2-3 mil pounds

We only signed Eddie cos we got Armstrong money

Other than that probably Sinclair and Ntcham are only ones who cost more than that.

6.) 03 Mar 2019 11:54:03
Old man Chris. Lawwells time on paper looks successful but I remember clearly before they went bust that rangers had won 3 in a row and we were looking terrible.

7.) 03 Mar 2019 14:31:26
I’m convinced if Celtic won a European trophy Tesla would find something to complain about. So for lent i’m Stopping replying to anything he posts. oldkilly.

8.) 03 Mar 2019 23:22:52
It takes a very strange Celtic fan who speaks of any SPL titles Rangers won in their highest cheating years from 2000- 2011. I am surprised that Tesla could stoop so low a.

14 Feb 2019 21:53:00
Unfortunately our style of play under BR is never going to cut it in these high level games. We just can't keep the ball well enough against top players that press and move at the speed they do. Once we inevitably lose it, it is panic stations.

Over the years those big results at Parkhead have come from getting the ball from back to front quick, long ball if necessary, getting the crowd roaring and willing them on. It is too slow and cumbersome against top opposition.

Cockhill Celtic

1.) 14 Feb 2019 21:58:25
Totally agree - Rodgers record is Europe is abysmal.

2.) 14 Feb 2019 22:03:36
That's a fair critique and I agree but we should still be able to take the game to teams better than what we demonstrated there. Too many not turning up again. Some will be scapegoats, a couple of usual suspects will get of without a mention and some will have not had much to work with tonight but they failed to rise to the occassion as a unit and without sounding too dramatic - I'm not sure anybody got a pass mark tonight. Manager included.

3.) 14 Feb 2019 22:14:11
I've already stated on here that domestic dominance is much more important for me and I cannot fault the team so far this year; but I have got to admit disappointment at another home defeat - especially when we were in such good form beforehand.

However, the same stupid mistakes have cost us in several European games and it's not just one or two misplaced passes or careless lapses and there were several culprits - even the captain.

The bottom line must be that players can't be expected to learn from mistakes if the boss doesn't seem to either (in Europe) .
Under MON, Strachan and Lennon (who had their faults) we punched well above our weight in Europe - especially at Celtic Park and the players took the game to the opposition and got the crowd roaring, stadium rocking and took some big scalps .

This fifty three passes in our own half stuff, might keep possession (until a daft error) - but we created virtually zero in attack, lost the midfield and gave them the initiative.

Anyway; I miss the European highs, but they were a bonus; the most important thing is getting back to winning ways at Killie and go on from there for the trophies, the glory and the history.

4.) 14 Feb 2019 22:54:30
We need the benkovics Tierneys Rogics Ntchams and dare I say it dembeles for these games. We were losing these games with those guys plus Roberts and Armstrong the team is weaker compared to the past where as the opposition is not. Need to focus on the domestic games for now as these matches are currently beyond us.

5.) 14 Feb 2019 23:22:58
I think the manager has earned or deserved the courtesy of us all reserving judgement until he can field 4 first team defenders. Really think its as simple as this. Its like asking the bartender to fix you a cocktail with no ice, or glasses. Can't get to the potency. And I think we have some of that. Midfield may need some different instructions tho.

6.) 14 Feb 2019 23:34:28
Would have gave Forrest passmarks. He had the beating of his man. We just didn’t get the ball to him often enough. Which isn’t surprising given the majority of our passes were from Boyata to Jozo and back again!

7.) 15 Feb 2019 01:21:52
@CC spot on mate you absolutely nailed it. The thing is BR has stated he won’t change the style of play regardless who the opposition is. Another scary thing is we have not had mproved one bit under BR in Europe.

8.) 15 Feb 2019 01:23:30
Awful performance can't keep possession and never on the front foot brown only player ad have given pass marks to for his passion the rest were terrible.

23 Sep 2018 12:51:53
Yes, the pitch is the same for both teams but artificial surfaces should not be allowed in pro football. Bounce is awful and roll of the ball is all wrong. Terrible to watch.

1.) 23 Sep 2018 14:22:36
say what yoo like but this is the biggest load off rubbish i've seen in last 3 years.

2.) 23 Sep 2018 14:23:48
It's no excuse I'm sure the bhoys train on these surfaces day in day out, terrible result today utter shambles.

{Ed007's Note - Our training pitches are far better quality than Kilmarnock's pitch.}

3.) 23 Sep 2018 14:28:13
Not good enough. Thankfully it's early enough in the season but that was shocking. HH.

4.) 23 Sep 2018 15:05:22
the hins scudded killie on the same pitch. yes pitch is a disgrace but we shouldn't make that an excuse.

Yeah, give Lennon the job. Don’t underestimate what he has done to get it over the line. Absolute legend he is. That’s 4 of the 8 league titles he has won and people think he’s not good enough? Careful what you wish for!

Strange thing to say after the success we had under BR but he has left a lasting negative impact on the squad. The pedestrian passing game he implemented is not working. When up against half-decent, extremely motivated opposition, it breaks down. Unfortunately we don’t have players to move it through the lines fast enough. It was clear yesterday when the ball was pressed hard, our players lost possession time and time again. Players of the calibre needed to make the current style work are at the very top sides and well out of our reach.

I also think when players are asked to play the way we do, they become complacent and often get caught flat footed, expecting time on the ball that they don’t have.

Lennon has done a fantastic job since coming in. Can’t believe some of the negative comments surrounding him. I suppose we have been spoiled with success.

Lennon has negotiated two very tricky cup ties to get to final. Won the game against Rangers and kept us on easy street in the league.

This was all achieved despite huge shock to club and players when BR bolted. Those players had Rodgers style ingrained over two very successful years. Lennon has not tried anything radical and said as much from the get go. He dropped all his commitments to rescue the club. He’s an absolute hero and Celtic legend in my eyes.

Moyes would be a frightening appointment. Unmitigated disaster since he left Everton. Style of football is drab.
