4th April before we can play game in hand, just so we can have a month of it looking like it's closer than it is. Should've been played this Wednesday, joke of a decision.

Cjb77

1.) 02 Mar 2018 17:13:32
Agree two reasons why it's not being played Wednesday 1.lustig won't be available 2.like you say they want it to seem closer o well well just have to go 9 clear on the 11th.

2.) 02 Mar 2018 20:30:42
Guys having a free midweek before the game next week is a great thing. Is gives the gaffer and coaches a full week of training with the player.
Our players are now going to go into that game fresh, prepared and ready to go.
Don't listen to the pish fae the press. This is a good thing g.

3.) 02 Mar 2018 21:11:38
Kev I don't listen to the press mate just think we could have had a few players get game time with boyata Roberts griff commper Armstrong all Back training I really fancy us to win the game against sevco but it's the sfa that do my head in their strange calls.

4.) 02 Mar 2018 21:19:04
Sammy the last time we made all they changes we lose against killie.
Fans went mental.
As the gaffer said today the games at this end of the season are about winning not fitness.
Strongest and fittest team out between now and the end. Get the players game time in the development games and at the end of main games when they are won.

5.) 02 Mar 2018 23:50:39
Kev don't think we made that many changes against killie are you thinking about the st Johnstone game? Also mate going on your theory Morton tomorrow all be it a championship side we shouldn't have any problems as we've had a full week free.

6.) 03 Mar 2018 00:09:47
Faster the middle of March we will be in the middle of the teens better off in points and Aberdeen will be our closest rivals.

7.) 03 Mar 2018 08:32:27
The SFA have nothing to do with SPFL fixtures.

8.) 03 Mar 2018 10:36:45
Not clued up on those things the powers that be whoever they are.

9.) 03 Mar 2018 12:29:32
Sorry Sammy your right was st Johnstone I was thinking.

28 Feb 2018 10:16:24
Game is off tonight as expected with the snow, of course, this puts bit more pressure on for derby, really can't lose that match.

Cjb77

1.) 28 Feb 2018 10:50:54
Disagree, the pressure is on the home side whos fans keep saying they are in a title race. they've not beaten us at ibrox since they regurgatated back to life. So there is zero pressure for the Champions, go there, put them back in their box, jobs a good'un.

2.) 28 Feb 2018 12:51:13
Hope so, they aren’t a great side, they are just scoring with pretty much every attempt on target, that won't last.

3.) 28 Feb 2018 13:22:50
Means The suspension for Lustig carries to the rangers game.

4.) 28 Feb 2018 13:34:16
Right now im good with that Mattybhoy👍.

5.) 28 Feb 2018 14:24:38
Although Lustig has been poor recently he is usually immense against Sevco.

6.) 28 Feb 2018 15:19:17
Lustig is a loss for me. The big man brings a wealth of experience in these games and tends to rise to the occasion. Think a lot of people have turned on him unfairly. He has been a great player for us going through a bad patch while he's playing with an injury.
My problem now is who do we replace him with.
Usually I'd say raleston but he's not kick a ball in months.

7.) 28 Feb 2018 15:26:48
I agree Kev, we are much stronger with four at the back as apposed to three however who fills in at right back?

8.) 28 Feb 2018 15:30:23
If Ralston not fit what about young hendry.

9.) 28 Feb 2018 16:45:20
Wats wrong with Gamboa?

10.) 28 Feb 2018 17:57:10
He's sh*te.

11.) 28 Feb 2018 18:26:47
Wyllie the guy is murder.

18 Feb 2018 21:06:30
After having time to calm down, I think it's fair to say, Gamboa isn't up to it, Miller is clearly playing out of his favoured position, Eduard isn't worth 7m, we won't and shouldn't pay that much, Sinclair looks like a one season wonder up here, the constant sideways and back the way stuff just allows other teams time to reorganise, Musonda flatters to deceive and Dembeles not the same player, Rodgers has 3 weeks to prove he's not been found out.

Cjb77

1.) 19 Feb 2018 01:11:22
First Celtic game you’ve watched this week I assume.

2.) 19 Feb 2018 15:11:17
How short people memories are. On Thursday night the players were outstanding and now they aren't up to it.

3.) 19 Feb 2018 15:37:51
CJB a bit of over reaction i think. Zenit is a more important game. Biggest threat is if we keep progressing in Europa then we may be stretched but we have lots of players to come back so no great panic is there?

4.) 19 Feb 2018 19:19:06
And its a panic id be willing to have.

5.) 19 Feb 2018 20:41:22
Have a word with yourself.

6.) 21 Feb 2018 06:52:15
A will prob go against the grain here but a didn’t think we played as bad as some people are making out on Sunday we would get 3-4 passes together then broken up by fouls still for the life of me can’t understand how anyone that calls themselves a Celtic fan can go to the game and boo there team at full time after the season they gave us last season.

18 Feb 2018 18:30:08
Having sat through the latest 90mins of dross, I have to say, unless we get Griffiths fit soon, I fail to see where the goals will come from to win the league, it really is abysmal stuff.

Cjb77

1.) 18 Feb 2018 18:48:51
Ridiculous statement, everyone's happy with Thursday then after a recovery half fielded (not even reserve now everyone's injured) team and a 0-0 and you can't see how we'll win the league. How about we see how we get on in Thursday let that result deal with itself recover then, field a strong team and smash the rest of them?

2.) 18 Feb 2018 18:49:38
Give it a rest .

04 Feb 2018 01:36:49
Musonda doesn't look any better than what we have, I know it's only two appearances so could be proved wrong, he has some nice touches, but doesn't look much of a threat, terrible team performance, too slow most of the time, the league isn't in the bag, not with the amount of injuries and the performances we have been putting in this season.

Cjb77

1.) 04 Feb 2018 08:59:07
Beat me to it buddy. I will repeat what you said as I totally agree. As of now, the league is not in the bag. This dip in form in the last couple of MONTHS is worrying. HORRIBLE surface at Rugby Park, but the same for both teams. Come on Bhoys.

2.) 04 Feb 2018 09:07:55
Yesterday smacked of tinkering with a team to see how if we played a defensive formation with the el game in mind and we failed. 1 shot on target? We just too many changes and injuries so team was all over the place. Clarke's a smart guy and set up his team well.
Just a blip and we will learn from it.

3.) 04 Feb 2018 09:37:54
Got to laugh about that, Musonda for me looks head and shoulders above anything we have in midfield and cannot be judged on yesterday. Give him til the end of the month and he’ll be first pick.

4.) 04 Feb 2018 17:14:39
Jesus one full game and a short sub appearance and a bhoy is wrote aff already?
Got to laugh sometimes.

5.) 04 Feb 2018 18:04:48
He had two or three guys on him everytime he got the ball. Much like opposition teams do to roberts when he plays.

We need roberts back, they can't put three guys on both of them.

I thought he did awrite in both instances.

Too soon to write him off .

27 Feb 2018 22:23:41
I think tomorrow night we have to go out and ram in a few goals with a convincing win to keep the confidence up, with the derby at Castle Greyskull to follow in the league, I watched bits of their game in Perth, tbh they weren't all that great and scored with pretty much every shot on target, if we can hit a bit of form we will beat them, but we will need to play well, otherwise we won't.

Cjb77

1.) 27 Feb 2018 22:57:25
I can't help noticing when Griffith, Armstrong and Boyota are fit and playing many Celtic fans post how useless they are, but once they miss a few games through injuries they become star players again.

2.) 28 Feb 2018 21:51:40
Who is Griffith and Boyota Chris? Seems Griffiths and Boyata miss a few games and you forget their names!

22 Feb 2018 21:06:13
Soon enough we'll be singing "all we're saying, just give us a goal". sideways backways, will it ever end, will we ever score a goal again, I'm beginning to really wonder if we will win the league, all joking aside, can anyone see where our next win is coming from?

Cjb77

1.) 22 Feb 2018 21:33:26
did u join the site just to wind me up what a load of shite (shite seems be my new word btw ed) wtf too many expecting too much
This season has been PROGRESS what do we all want each year PROGRESS and that’s all we can ask for.

2.) 23 Feb 2018 00:24:47
keep typing celtic banter and it keeps taking me to welshbhoyubbertimdooneifyoudontlikeit. net.

3.) 23 Feb 2018 00:34:56
I prescribe 2 bottles a week to everyone that can't enjoy being in Europe after Christmas, 4 trophies out of 4, on for a double treble, 9 points clear and on the way to 10 in a row. Feck me what would guys like Tommy Burns do to witness these times. Honestly 90% of the posters on here need to settle down n enjoy this, it only happens once in a lifetime dominating like this. Either start enjoying it or get to the docs and get some medication.

04 Feb 2018 01:49:48
You have to give the killie board bit of credit in going for Steve Clarke, I actually thought he'd be good for us when Ronnie was shoved, he's arguably the best manager in the league, and has now beaten both us and sevco at Home and drawn with both away.

more than mcinnes can boast of, suppose we just have to accept that with all these young players comes inconsistency and some shocking performances like today, don't get why some people thought Hendry was good, he looked nervous and slow throughout, in other words, he'll fit in nicely with our other centre half's.

Cjb77

1.) 04 Feb 2018 08:01:03
Aye that's great, let's dismiss Hendry to the s**t pile after one game, played on a brillo pad, where his 2 starting defensive partners got injured in first 30 minutes. Give the lad a chance.

2.) 04 Feb 2018 08:40:42
Hendry will be fine. Didn't look out of place at all. Did ok for his debut. Good signing.

3.) 04 Feb 2018 09:45:35
He was nothing short of p*sh NT87, yeah the surface wasn’t good, but neither was he or any of the guys at the back, the fact he was outpaced a lot was worrying, slow, nervous and poor defending, like I say, he’ll fit in nicely with the other hammer throwers in that position. Bittons too slow aswell, positioning poor, never a centre half.

Bit off topic, seen a program this afternoon in Bannatynes, while my wee girl was in the pool, called footballs greatest, was about Roberto Baggio, I'm 40, I remember watching Italian football on Chanel 4 on Sunday afternoons back in the late 80s early 90s, they had so many great players over there, it made football seem quite glamorous at the time, and the standard of players was top class, Baggio, Maldini, Donadoni, Van Basten, Baresi, Battistuta, Voller, Gullit, Nesta, Albertini, Rjkaard, Signori. if you could take one or a different one from that time, in there prime for Celtic just now, who would it be?

Cjb77

1.) 31 Jan 2018 16:47:17
Wee Signori would have been a hero here. Scored goals for fun for lazio and had a magical left foot. Never made the most of his talent though.

2.) 31 Jan 2018 16:51:57
If we are talking about players to go in the current team, then I would be torn between Barsei and Maldini. However, if it was based on who I would loved to have seen in the hoops the most, I would probably go for Maradona, as he was one of my favourite players of all time (can't believe you forgot him) .

3.) 31 Jan 2018 16:52:02
Van Basten for me Cjb77 absolutely loved the guy as a kid and was in tears when he had to retire Never missed gazzetta on a Saturday morning or an Ac Milan game if they were shown on the Sunday.

4.) 31 Jan 2018 16:52:17
Would a loved big battistuta in the hoops! Unbelievable striker the big man was! Tough one but because Baggio and Van Basten were top quality to!

5.) 31 Jan 2018 16:53:14
Couldn't pick just one to be honest. I love Milan of that era.
Maldini is the best defender on my life time
I love watching Van Basten Guilt and Jean-Pierre Papin. Football italia was magic.

6.) 31 Jan 2018 16:56:53
Fillipo Inzaghi for me.

7.) 31 Jan 2018 17:12:09
Maldini for me.

8.) 31 Jan 2018 17:29:26
Zidane, Del Piero, Buffon.

9.) 31 Jan 2018 17:16:33
Your right, Maradona was amazing player, can’t believe I left him off first list, along with Mattheus, another top player, James Richardson always seemed to be sitting outside fancy cafes in the sun, while we watched on tv and it was grey outside! Back to today, I hope we get the young lad Hendry and keeper that our manager wants👍.

10.) 31 Jan 2018 17:25:12
i remember when that bannantyne had his ice cream van outside our school, he was a currant bun too.

11.) 31 Jan 2018 17:39:41
Cannavaro.

12.) 31 Jan 2018 17:48:58
Van Basten in his prime was the best center forward I've seen in my fairly lomg lifetime. ACMilan were something then.

13.) 31 Jan 2018 17:51:46
Maldini for me. One of those rare talents that made football look easy and beautiful. A truly brilliant player.

14.) 31 Jan 2018 18:43:25
My memory of Italian football on channel 4 was loads of big names, lots of 0-0 draws or very low scoring games.

As a kid I hated watching it, in hindsight it was the world's best players all cancelling each other out.

15.) 31 Jan 2018 18:48:53
Has to be Gullit for me, he had everything that you would want in a player.

16.) 31 Jan 2018 19:01:18
I'd take Lillian Thuram i remember seeing him play for Parma against us in pre season friendly, whit a player.

17.) 31 Jan 2018 19:52:49
Luca vialli was cracking remember him running for a rebound getting dragged down but still getting his head on it to score
Del piero was cracking also the football Italia era saw a shift in power from Milan to juve I had a soft spot for sampdoria and napoli
Maldini though for our current side.

18.) 31 Jan 2018 19:47:10
maldini was just class, baggio another super footballer
toto scillachi was great wee striker but one guy alwats gets overlooked Atillio lombardi from sampdoria remember his bald head as much as his ability.

19.) 31 Jan 2018 20:42:09
Enrico Chiesa for me - guy was total class in a era where Italian strikers where out of this world.

20.) 31 Jan 2018 20:47:08
Same yernawsbaws, a always got bored waiting for a goal. A can remember thinking it was shite cos there was nobody getting put up in the air. It was modern day football before its time in that sense.

18 Jan 2018 15:11:34
Don't know if any of the Ed's know the answer to this, how much are the club expecting to make (profit) , per year from hotel?, I've read hotel/ complex is costing around £18m to build, how many years would it take to re coup that, let alone start making money from it, I know the velladrome has plenty events most weekends, but seriously, I'm not sure this won't be a big waste of money, I'd rather we invested in the playing team, if the above figure is true.

Cjb77

{Ed007's Note - The hotel won't cost Celtic £18 million as there will be other investors and the cost will probably be paid over a number of years. Celtic don't have £18 million just sitting around and decided to build a hotel with the money. There's no way of knowing how much it will bring in p.a and remember it's not just a hotel, there will be the new shop, museum and ticket office also in the complex, the hotel is only a part of it.}

1.) 18 Jan 2018 20:54:05
Thanks, I did wonder if they had £18m just sitting, why they’d plough it all into that👍.

2.) 19 Jan 2018 13:34:41
The honeymoon suite could be known as the Lee Griffith's suite .

I’m the same, didn't feel like glory once we lost the final, if we had won the treble but lost that, then maybe, but we lost the lot to them, it was a disasterous season, the following season was much better, winning the double, knocking out Barcelona and beating Rangers 5 times out of 5.
