After what the majority of fans would say was another anti climax of yet another transfer window, I'm left sitting thinking on what goes through the minds of our board and the actual level of ambition of them. I fully understand the need to trim a vastly bloated squad, far too much kicking around contributing nothing to the cause, I fully accept this, that being said I'm left thinking that for me we've men at boardroom level that run an astute business, the club financially have likely never to have been in a better financial footing, but my question is would it kill the club to have a couple of proper football minded men in and around the board in some capacity, wether it be a DOF or otherwise? Some one or persons that have actually played the game and know a bit about having a product on the park. Big named European clubs the likes of Munich, Arsenal, Ajax etc have ex players, some legends of their clubs employed by the club. I fail to see the downside of having guys in and around the club, guys that can in some way look past just having fantastic figures in a book and look towards the product on the park. just a thought.

Troy colour, Paul lambert could be an excellent shout, I'm not claiming to know the perfect candidate, all I'm suggesting is we get one or two in that are ex professionals, know the club and what it's about, can relate to the fans and ultimately help in some way in contributing to the product on the park. to me it seems like a logical step. something needs to change.
