Well, Lennon has proved what the enlightened knew, he's not the man for the job! 😆.

I absolutely stand by my thoughts that there are better managers than Neil Lennon that we could have at least considered. If you want to shout 'I told you so' after the first league game then good for you.

Jim Jim, it doesn’t matter who we considered, it only matters who the Board decided on and at this early stage Board has got it right as Lennon has hit the ground running . Some so called better managers, who may or may not have been considered by Board could have came in and changed everything and we could have been biting our nails in January wondering could our super manager get things right and start a run of wins so that we could climb table .

come on jimtim
who would have been a better manager
without talking about huge wages and who is a proven winner lennon is all this plus a successful footballer and ex celtic manager who did magic BTW and knows what to do in europe
who know the scottish league
who knows the celtic fans
who knows how to win
who can fight with the players when not pulling there weight blah blah
neil lennon is the correct choice
its a great start and we looked fantastic playing the CELTIC WAY and lenny knows how to destroy defeding teams who play against us.
keep positivity and get over lennon only judge him him a football manager nothing else he is a winner.
most managers would not cut it in our league.

Not judging Lennon after one game. I remember him doing well at ‘his’ club with a significantly inferior squad to the one he has now. Two last 16 appearances in the CL and won every league he competed for. Much more experienced now. The Hibs team he got promoted were brilliant to watch. Yes it went pear-shaped but he’s where he wants to be now.

There was no evidence to judge him as anything other than a fine choice for the job.

@ Mally. I hope i'm not either mate. We know the standard in terms of silverware that needs to be met. There's some encouraging signs yes. My concerns weren't just on the park. I said the same about Rodgers regarding Deila, as I'll say about Lennon regarding Rodgers - there's been a lot of improvements behind the scenes. I hope that isn't all ruined for a drinking culture, chips at Lennoxtown and 90s coaching.

@ Chris. If all that matters is what the board decides what are we even doing here discussing things?

@ Andy. Not sure where to start really. I'm certainly not going to list better managers because I have things to do today. Knowing the players and the league was important and I said as much when he was appointed as interim. Knowing the fans is irrelevant and knowing how to win, well, there's lots who know how to win. I'm sorry to burst the bubble but the CELTIC WAY is a pile of BS wee tims are told about as they're getting tucked in at night along with the Tooth Fairy and Santie Claus. But the football, in the miniscule sample we've had, does look better. The less said about a manager "who can fight with the players" the better. As a fitness guru mate, what's your thoughts on pub crawls mid season and allowing players to eat crisps if that's what makes them happy?

@ Cockhill. Won every league he competed for?
