Does anyone think we don't actually need new defenders and our issue is actually Gordon?

Defenders seem to lack confidence in Gordon there was a few examples yday one where boyata kicked it out when gordon was running out and another benkovic tackled rather than letting gordon come out.

Dont get me wrong Gordon is a good goalkeeper and has done well for us.

It grates on me a little that he flaps the ball out and that he kicks it to the other team quite a lot.

I just feel if we got a new goalkeeper it would give the defenders but more confidence.

Preaching to the choir here. The guy is done and should have been replaced last summer; however, BR doesn't seem confident enough in Bain to drop him for any length of games.
His shot-stopping from dead-ahead has never been a problem, but his positioning, speed of reaction and distribution are all dodgy at best.

A new keeper and a new right back pretty much as was required in the summer, striker too now with the sale of Dembele. We're really not that far away from a good squad.

Agree priority is CF, RB and CB if any are lost in Jan. Icing on the cake would be a new #1 GK that can pass a ball.

OAB Gordon is done?
Really? Didn't he pull off a great save against Boyle, Didn't he pull off numerous great saves against RB Salzburg which could a been a cricket score without him, hasn't he pulled off crucial saves against sevco numerous times.
Oh wait he not a great passer well hello he is a goalie, you have seen Liverpool Man Utd Chelsea spend well over 60m for their goalies and ALL of them have committed howlers recently either in world cup or league.
Incidentally if the Scottish press said "Gordon was done" YOU would be the first on here foaming at the mouth and giving it conspiracy theories.
