After watching recent games against AEK, Suduva, Hearts, St Mirren I have caught myself thinking I am watching Ronnie Deila's team and tactics. The lack of urgency in getting the ball up the park when there is only 5-10mins left.

Question is what is going to change?

Most of the team were well below bar and for this early in the season I'm struggling for reasons, tiredness? Lack of new faces? Team dynamics affected with Boyata, Dembele?

Personally on the wings and through the middle, where we have options I would be looking to rotate to try and become less predictable, play Johnston, Christie from the start more hell against St Mirren why not bloody Scott Allan. Give teams something to think about. At least Christie and Johnston will be direct, Allan maybe play a through ball or two.

What's your thoughts and how do these sideways passes get changed especially when playing against 10 men behind the ball?

We seem to be practicing for playing superior teams in Europe . How often is Forrest, one of best attacking players picking up the ball 20-25 yds rom our own goals . We need Forrest and probably Sinclair up within 20 yds of opponents goals as soon as the ball gets there and before 8-9 defenders get into position. I think Rodgers is trying to get his best eleven shoe- horned into his first eleven . That's why he went 3 at the back . and that is why he plays Rogic and Mc Gregor, that just doesn't work .
My biggest worry and I really hope I am wrong but I am sure K T is carrying an injured shoulder, he is restricted trying to squeeze or push his way past opponents . An operation could take at least 15 weeks to recouperate.

We will soon have Sinclair, Johnston, Arzani, Morgan, Forrest and even Christie who can play wide; however BR is so set in his ways regarding one wide man (Forrest) and KT doing a double shift, that we are very predictable and pedantic far too often.
I also feel that the only time we see both Griff and Eddy together is when we are maybe chasing a goal and it's usually one up front, which again is easy for opposing defenses to crowd-out.
I understand that he must play Eddy after paying so much for him, but I also thing LG is a confidence player and needs a run in the team to get up to speed and sharpness and he is definitely not an off-the-bench impact player to be used as and when.
OK, We have lost Dembele, but Sinclair, Griffiths and Edouarde have more than enough about them and need regular games, especially when Rogic, McGregor and A. N. Other is off form.
I know Ajer looked uncomfortable last night, but we have more than enough defenders to permutate an effective 3-5-2 in the SPL, but as I mentioned below, we really need to really 'up the tempo'.

Brendan had planned 2 strikers this season. Eddie and Dembele that plan is up in smoke. Don't know if he will go with Eddie and Griffiths long term. Neither Eddie or Lee are good at playing lone striker.

Happyhoops Griffiths scored most of his Celtic goal as the loan striker including 40 in one season.

Correct but when you watch someone of Dembeles quality playing the role you can see the comparison. Leigh is a good striker for us and has scored a lot of goals.

Did dembele score 40 in a season playing the role like?

Kev come on man, Griffiths had a good year

What’s the starts since then. He shanks almost every effort recently and can’t keep fit for any length of time.

I actually feel that’s he’s regressed due to the injuries and whilst I hope he gets back firing - I simply don’t see it happening.

No your kidding on if you think Leigh is the same quality as Dembele. He scored 40 15/ 16 season playing next to Commons (commons playing in the hole) . Also when you play for Celtic you can't keep dining out on 1 great season. He is a good spl player and I'm glad he's ours but IMO he's not a lone striker. As proved many times when we venture into European competition with him playing up front himself.

It's football everyone has their opinion. HH.

{Ed007's Note - In season 2015/16 LG made 51 appearances to Commons' made 33, LG played 3918 minutes whilst Commons managed 1968 minutes - 9 mins short of half LG's game time - and Commons assisted in 12 goals all season, even if all of them were assists to LG that would still leave him with 28 goals.
2 of LG's early season goals came against Malmo in the CL qualifiers while Commons was an unused sub in that game - so that's 2 more games Commons didn't help LG score - and in the previous round LG scored one over the 2 legs against Stjarnan and Commons didn't make either squad, randomly a few months later LG scored 2 against Ross County on the 8/11/15 while Commons missed the game with "a knock"... do you see where this is going?}

Never said how much commons played only where he played (Thanks for the fact though) . Never said Leigh wasn't a lone striker Just pointing out it was a different systems system to Brendans. If people are happy with Griffiths playing lone striker fair enough.

I have my own opinion. I take it I'm aloud one. One thing is for sure Leigh hasn't hit that spectacular goal tally since.
