What are people's thoughts on our inactivity in the transfer window.
Are we hostages to fait with injuries and playing a dangerous game with the qualifiers on the horizon.
Or are some of us worrying for nothing. is the squad good enough to go to weĺl again?

Playing a dangerous game imo

Our team is good enough to win these 2 qualifiers but the 3rd and 4th I’m not so confident at all unless the squad is improved.

When I say improved I mean far better than McGinn or the Yeovil defender we are linked with.

I think we have more than enough projects at the minute. We need first team ready players with pedigree to make a decent fist of Europe.

I think it’s very naive to accuse the club of being inactive. For all we know there could be offers on the table to multiple players and we’re having to wait on an answer. Another unfortunate fact is that some players might not commit to playing in Scotland without guaranteed CL.

I think we will tackle the first qualifier with what we have; however, we must be thinking seriously about additions thereafter?
The WC and the normal stalling and uncertainty that goes with every window is always going to hamper us in our League and location, but surely we have been making serious steps to strengthen since the final whistle in the cup final - or before?

For me we are selling the manager short, we have a bigger task than ever to make it to the champions league group stages and we have effectively turned a loan into a perminent move and lost 2 good players in Armstrong and paddy. We are also down Lustig, Boyata and Rogic, overall we are a much weaker side for our first qualifier.

What i can't get my head round is the fact we have sold players who everyone knew were leaving and that we have players at WC.
The club have known this longer than the fans. and they still havnt brought replacements in never mind strenghten.
The WC players could be out for another month.
Every manager must want there targets in early. BR will be no different.

Its the same every season. We go into CL qualifiers with pretty much same team that finished the season. Same every year. No idea why.

if you have no idea why, we go into Champions League with much the same squad as we finished the previous season , the fault lies within yourself .
Very simple clubs are only now really becoming interested in selling players of value . These players may have had international duties at some age, and also they all would have had holidays . Clubs don't usually want to part with players until they have some idea how they will replace the player leaving .
There are any amount of over rated and over paid players who probably wouldn't get on our bench who agents have been pushing since early May .
We don't want these rejects.

Selling the manager short? I don’t buy that one. All this doom n gloom over signings I’m pretty sure Brendan knows what he wants and if he can’t get he won’t bother with 2nd best. Keep the faith bhoys 10 in a row 🍀.

This is probably the same as playing Alloa or Dumbarton in the Scottish Cup. Not guaranteed to win but something very bad would have to happen for us to lose.
No need to hit the panic button yet.

We will strengthen and it us true players delay, as do clubs to see where their best offer comes from. Our league isn’t a natural choice, we need to accept that.

I am as inpatient as anybody wanting players in, but they need to be the right ones. If after all the delays we still don’t bring in anyone, then it’s justifued to feel let down,

That won’t happen. The potential cash on offer will focus the mind of the board. The personal ambition of Brendan to show that his team can play in the CL without being humiliated is key for his own future after us. It’s also important for him as a fan to be the guide behind us doing the business in the CL. By doing the business, I mean being fav for 3rd place, anything better than that would be unbelievable.

We will buy and we will be better. We have enough to negotiate at least two of these rounds, possibly three, but we could face a very good team in the 4th and we must be ready for that.

I think we will so I am just getting on with waking up and searching for news and saying, aw feck, maybe the morra.

We have been told This inactivity always happens, maybe that's our key for our success, u don't win 7 leagues in a row or back to back trebles .
A team like Rangers 2012., with their 6 or 8 or more players in every season will get know where and will continue to struggle for a top four finish in a two horse race.
