Afternoon Ed,

So here is one for a lazy Sunday

A said to a good friend of mine last night everyone fit does BR Know his best eleven and the layout he wants?

I thought I would have a go

3 4 2 1

CG

Hendry Commper, KT
Roberts kouassi brown Sinclair
Ntcham Musonda
Dembele

Am sure everyone will have their own thoughts / shape and have a go but there is still a massive amount of talent getting left out when ALL is well.

{Ed007's Note - If he's going with that formation I'd agree except I'd go for Bain in goal, Jamie, Gordon's finished for me now, and I'd go for Simunovic or Boyata over Hendry just now too. Compper is an unknown quantity but I reckon Rodgers would have put him straight in when he's fit regardless of yesterday's injuries. I think that formation is more a reflection of what's available though and Rodgers will go back to 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-3 when everyone's fit and available.

--------------------Bain---------
Lustig---Simunovic---Compper---Tierney--
-------------Brown-----Ntcham---
Roberts--------Musonda-----Sinclair---
-----------------Dembele--------

That would be my team too ed although av got doubts with bain long term, surely we can get a better keeper in the summer. He'll get my support while he's in the hoops as will anyone else and a hope he proves me wrong but the doubt is there.

{Ed007's Note - He's the best 'keeper at the Club just now for me, Steph and I wouldn't be surprised to see him being offered a contract in the summer as he'll be available o a free and would probably be happy and settled to be Celtic's No.2.
I still think a No.1 should be our priority this summer but knowing Lawwell and remembering what happened with Gordon's signing I reckon Peter will be trying to talk Rodgers into Bain becoming the No.1. Danny Ward wants to leave Liverpool and I'd be delighted to see us make a move for him or Sondre Rossbach that I may have mentioned in the past :)

Ed do you think we’re likely to take Bain permanently at the end of his loan or go out and buy a keeper? For me he’s not a bad keeper at all but I’d like ya to set our sights higher.

{Ed007's Note - Steph just beat you there, Kev lol.}

By the way av been sent a picture of the pitch at killie and it looks like they've made it narrower and shorter, got no idea if that was done at the start of the season or if they're altering it game by game, is it not the case that u need to name your dimensions at the start and stick to it. If it's allowed fair play to them a was just unsure.

{Ed007's Note - Ed033 deals with pictures, Steph but I did see it yesterday. The SPFL Regs (H20*) state that clubs can apply to change pitch dimensions at any time, and more than once a season but they must secure written consent from the SPFL board.

*H20 - Clubs must register their pitch dimensions with the Secretary not less than one month prior to the start of each Season. No Club shall alter its pitch dimensions for any League Match or Play-Off Match during a Season unless with the prior written consent of the Board. The Board may at any time require a Club to submit a report from a qualified independent source certifying the pitch dimensions.

Of course they can always put in their written changes well in advance, by knowing who they are playing, and alter their dimensions to suit their strengths, or rather to minimise the strengths of their opponents.

I remember Big Jock doing a bit of changing the pitch size in the old European Cup. (cant remember opposition) The away team had the set time to practice on the pitch and Jock had the size reduced slightly for their session. For the actual game the next night he had it put wider again (remember, we had Jinky and the Lions who loved wing/ attacking play)

Bain might be good but I bet he won't win POTY lol.
