I always enjoy reading the various opinions on this site, but I can't help thinking that some of the reaction to Sundays defeat is a bit over the top.
I've read from some posts that Gordon, Lusting, Boyata, Jozo, Armstrong, Dembele, and even Tierney are not good enough and should be sold on, it almost feels that we are in a relegation battle rather than having just come off a 69 match unbeaten run.
Getting beat was always going to happen at some point, teams that aren't as good as us will always try to find flaws in our game. Hearts pressed us high up the pitch and forced us into making mistakes, it's an area where teams are targeting us lately, but that is what all good teams have to put up with, it doesn't make us a bad team.
Man City are playing some great football at the moment, but I bet that next season teams will have figured out a way to reduce their effectiveness, it won't make Man City a bad team, it's just that teams who can't compete with them for ability will find ways not to be overrun by them.
There is no doubt that we could do with being strengthened in certain areas, you always have to try and keep improving, but I think the magnitude of a 69 match unbeaten run should be considered before ripping apart the team that achieved the feat,

Totally agree with that. We didn't play well and had a bad day at the office. Also thought that the players didn't handle the pitch well as it looked soft and slippy. Nobody would have thought we could achieve a record run like that and four trophies as well as two five one victories against the new Rangers.
We should all get a grip and stop complaining .

The defeat was coming for weeks. The players looked jaded and out of sorts. Some of them have played the 6 qualifiers and a few International games but tiredness is no excuse as we should have had decent cover to rest a few of them. Eric and a few others will be going in January and at the end of the season. A few defenders and a good keeper to challenge CG for the long-term.

To overcome the down turn in our recent form we must return to our high level of pressing all over pitch, from start to finish .
We have missed about 30 days when we could have done intense training, or practised new tactics . Ten and more games played August to December results in 30 lost days. We can't get those back, and so we must do our work on the actual pitch during game .
