Okay. let's not gloss over this we may have a problem. Starting at the worst point, Bayern took us apart no question. The obvious reason for this would be they have better quality players, there is no question on that, but are ours as good domestically as we think?

Given the financial disparity between our clubs Bayern would be backed to win nine out of ten against us, no shame there. We would be the same odds versus any of the Euro elite clubs. Should the same rules apply here?

Over the last few weeks we have been pretty lucky to keep this unbeaten run going, becoming a bit of a monkey on our back now i think, Last week being the most obvious example. Dundee can count themselves fortunate not to have won. We were off it from minute one, not for the first time this season. So are teams seeing a weakness and having a go?

Hibs sensed it and Lenny went for it, pressing high, an absolute cert he will do the same tomorrow. It seems when under pressure we don't have enough players with the touch and confidence to take a pass in tight areas, hence Gordons ridiculous kicking on Tuesday. This takes me to my first thoughts.

The cash aspect and better quality players theory seems flawed, but only here. What i mean is why can't we play at the tempo Bayern do domestically? Where is our slick one touch passing? Why do so many of our players not quickly make an angle for a return? Why constantly go wide? I would suggest some of our team might be getting found out. BR must be tearing his hair out with players who can't find a team mate with a ten yard pass.

In saying that BR, in my opinion, is not blameless either.

If I understand your point, we're not really set up for slick one-touch passing. Rather, our wingers are there in order to keep the ball close and run at defenders. The angles we find for runners in the box are part of the game when the wingers turn inside, but we don't really look to triangulate at the midfield level. That's okay for me--there's more than one way of playing the game in an attractive manner. No point in criticising us for something the team isn't trying to do, or be.

The general remarks here are definitely becoming a concern: to what extent have we over-achieved domestically I don't know. But there's a reason all the other teams didn't get into European competition proper this year.

Totally agree. When we get pumped in Europe, there is a lot of Tims on here, twitter etc. saying this is how the rest of Scotland feels when they play us.

Yet this season we are yet to turn out a performance like Bayern or PSG when they have played us.

This season we have struggles to get going. Yes we are still unbeaten but we have been poor at home with the exception of the first game vs Hearts. 2 draws and a narrow/ lucky 1-0 win over Dundee.

Really hope we can fire on all cylinders tomorrow!

Time for B R to move on?
Some fans are never satisfied we need to bring in some exciting EPL manager.

We haven't had a run recently where we have had a stable fit core of players ready to step in and be sharp, prepared and competing for places. It doesn't help that a good chunk of our best 15 players can be or have been injury prone. There's room in this squad for further improvement but I wouldn't say that we have enough as is. It's the same old argument no mater what team we have we are always 3/ 5 players from going up a level. That will never change. We have had great success and I think we have seen the best of this squad and on our day we are great and I'm a happy Celtic fan despite all the negative $ht that follows these games. The only thing that I want is an option to play ugly if the game needs it to keep a scoreline down. I never want us to be a sit back and counter type of team but I'd like us to be able to do it well when the occasion required.

The most positive I took from Wednesday's match was that. When B M took their foot off the pedal, tiredness, easing up because they were content job was done . Celtic matched them for last 35 minutes . In other words B M had to play full out to better Celtic .
We let ourselves down a little in our inability to convert all our chances and half chances . We will have to become more cut throat in front of goal.
