Not enjoyed a season as much for a long time and the confidence, will-to-win and style of play eminating from the manager -through the team is magnificent.
Even when a few of the team are off form, there are others who play out of their skins and others to come on and change a game. Previous sides would have dropped points yesterday and I acknowledge Thomson did do us a favour (choke) with the penalty - but when you have guys like KT, Broony and PR playing consistently well, young Henderson stepping in so effectively and match-winners like Dembele and Sinclair - things really do look very good right now - and we still have Rogic, Armstrong and the new signing Eboue to come in.
On the downside - if you can call it that - I hope LG sorts himself out with the manager and gets back in contention as he will not get a better chance in his career than this?

Don't know if we have any chance at all of signing Roberts but when the alternatives are GMS and Forrest, we really need to either convince him and his parent club - or look to Improve that area in the summer.
I also hope wee Christie is in BR's plans as I think he does have potential.

Good win yesterday. Dembeles 3rd goal was sublime! What a joy to watch a team gelling like ours does. First half was a bit huff puff against a very good team. I'm surprised St Johnstone are not further up the table than they are. Tommy Wright is doing wonders with that squad and they always try against us up in Perth. Eventually though, class outshone them. We would have beaten them even without Thompsons dodgy decision but hey, how many of these decisions have not gone our way so I'll take that. Dembele hasn't harmed his price tag after yesterdays performance, what a special player we have in him.
I would like to think BR has taken our defensive performance back to the training ground. Apart from that though, another great day to be a Tim!

{Ed007's Note - At least St Johnstone came out and had a go, I remember at one point there was 3 St Johnstone players chasing down our 2 CBs or 1 CB and Bitton.
And once again our wee diddy league game put the so called Best League in the World's offering to shame - that Leicester v Man Utd was utter garbage.}

Can't disagree with any of that PT.

I would have wanted a wing forward type player in January. With BR saying PR will return to City, unless something changes, we'll need to sign two wing forwards in the summer. If PR had of been starting in the bigger games earlier in the season (which is one of my few, small criticisms) he might have found himself a place he wants to play at Celtic. He still might, and City might well turn round and tell him he's not part of their plans.

I agree about the Leicester V Man Ute match, it was dreadful, especially the first 20 minutes where neither team could even manage to keep the ball in play.
St Johnstone have managed to score a couple of goals against us the last 3 times we have went to Perth, so they seem to have as good a way of playing us as anyone else in the division, they also seem to do quite well in the matches against Aberdeen, so they are no mugs.
A couple of posters have said that they wouldn't mind losing our unbeaten run if it meant playing more youngsters in the team towards the end of the season, I don't agree with that.
Liverpool seemed to be doing okay up until the new year, then they put a lot of youngsters into the team against Plymouth in the FA cup, they only drew 0-0 and have hardly won a match since, all the momentum seems to have gone from them.
We may well lose a game before the end of the season, (if we do then hopefully it'll be a league match) but I want us to carry this winning mentality into next season, I think that youngsters should have to earn their place in the team regardless of what stage the season is at.

does anyone else think its a bit strange that a known anti-celtic referee awarded us a penalty that never was the week before we play in a one off cup competition where we have encountered many strange decisions over the years? it could be we are being set up for more of these dodgy decisions with sundays dodgy decision being used for them to say "what do you mean dodgy decisions? look at the penalty you got against st johnstone"

You need another hit of that pipe jamesbhoy, the demons are playing with you 😈😉😆. It's strange how "paranoia" can link up with reality sometimes though.

No jamesbhoy67, St. Johnstone should have had a penalty at Celtic Park last week as well, and for me, Partick Thistle should have had one they never got either round about Christmas time. We need to accept that times have moved on and referees are just awful rather than biased.

these masonic forces work in mysterious ways, i've seen too many strange and blatant decisions over the years over the years to rule anything out.

funny how no one at st johnstone remembers michael dubbery with both hands on the ball then rolling the ball along the ground inside the box and referee ian (bribes) brines standing watching it and still not giving a penalty, and clowns go on about paranoia, aye right.

I was led to believe decisions even themselves out so we'll take this one and move onto next game.

with all the dodgy one's against us we could play another 129 years and they still wouldn't be evened out.
