Good performance, good result. But mark my words and I know I'm going to get loads disagreeing with me as I usually do on here.

Anyway, if Ronny starts players like Armstrong, GMS, Gordon, Johansen, Brown, Boyata in next seasons CL Qualifiers we have no chance of qualifying again. These positions need to be addressed in the coming windows including this one or we face CL Qualifying failure.

Celticforever why do you think we have just signed a cb? Are close to signing a winger and linked with another striker? Utter bollocks you talk.

Celticforever, you and many others are far too short sighted to see the bigger picture! It's hard for RD as the transition is being made on a shoe string budget and selling our top players, now RD is having more of a say in the transfers next season is when he should be judged as loosing an excellent CB partnership and starting from scratch it is an uphill struggle I'm not getting carried away by a couple of results but I can see what the end game is!

SOS BHOY if you think Celtic are working on a shoe string budget then what kind of budget do you think Maribor, Molde and Malmo are working on?

I think the team/ squad needs more experience to help the younger players learn and improve even more.
We have stated the new year very well and are playing attacking football with style that comes from a confidence that was missing.
Of course everyone has their own ideas about who should go and even who should never be there to start with, but it's hard to offload players who are either not playing or are unimpressive - so it may take time to shuffle the pack and the club may again have to cut it's losses and release surplus players?
I mentioned getting experience in, as we seem to be doing the same as last season, where there was a marked improvement and progression after we were knocked out of Europe - and I think the pressures of CL/ EL football is too much for certain players, who were decidedly ineffective or made to many mistakes.

Jungle Jim one of the problems is that bringing in experienced players goes against the transfer policy of buying young and cheap.

Ed I thought the opening to my post was a factual observation not in need of editing lol! that might be the case that they are currently doing a better job on a lower budget but it doesn't mean that our budget isn't shoe string in comparison to the size of our club! And we have people making signings in our club that shouldn't be! There is a larger emphasis on having a coach to produce the next crop of Celtic first team players and RD is giving any good enough a fair crack of the whip!

Maribor Malmo and Molde are operating in an area wh re the top layers rarely move out of their area. It's a bit of a parochial thing so these clubs can buy reasonable quality players at a cu price . Bringing up the result of a match last season is a pretty low strike for a Celtic fan to repeat on a weekly basis.
