Regarding Celtic women’s team, I wasn’t aware that Amy Gallacher is Patsy Gallacher’s great granddaughter.

OldKilly have you been to the Celtic Story? That is where I was reminded of this.

Also I found out there that supposedly Patsy and John Thomson were lined up for an Arsenal transfer before the tragic accident. Patsy subsequently turned down the transfer.

I love finding out wee bits of history of our club.

Keezo1 I saw the show on Sunday and that’s where I found out about her and the Arsenal interest in Both players. My daughter had bought me the tickets before this seasons fixtures came out. My wife who has no interest in football went with me and the first thing she said when the show finished was try and get more tickets because that was fantastic. it was an amazing show and I was sitting there with a tear in my eyes.

Apologies, my source was bad or maybe i misunderstood. Gallacher played until 1925. Thomson played 1926-1931.
I will be double checking my sources.

Kieranr, you are correct, Patsy left Celtic in 1925 to play for New Bedford Whalers before joining Falkirk, John Thomson joined Celtic in 1926 until his death in 1931.
