Apparently Celtic are going all for Rafa, talks have taken place with terms agreed. Hopefully this is our level of ambition.

No point in us pushing the boat out for Rafa if Lawwell then palms him off with a Ronny Deila transfer budget, if we aim for a top class manager our board need to back him properly to bring in the quality of player he wants .

He won't have much choice as half the squad will probably be away.

Benitez rumours getting stronger by the hour, bookies have him odds on and they are never wrong, they even have the UK favourite to win Eurovision Song Contest, not that I be watching.

Was hearing the same thing about Rafa, apparently offered him a contract and he has until Monday to accept it. Was hearing as well that the sports science guy that BR brought in has been appalled at the way Lennon has been running things, especially giving the players time off to go to Ireland on the lash then not getting back into training until the Thursday before the Rangers game. Could be why they looked so jaded on Sunday? .

Whoever it is, the board need to reign this circus in, especially after seeing Lennon in the paper today!

If its not Lennon then we need the replacement announced now, otherwise I feel a minority will be stood singing '1 Neil Lennon' come cup final day. The others will fear that singing his name will encourage the board to give him the job.

I love Lenny, but this is becoming a farce!

Teflon, I have to admit I was a bit surprised to read on here that the squad had went 'to Dublin on a piss up'. Dublin is a great piss up I must say. But, and without knowing what sort of night it was or the restrictions on the players, it seemed like the wrong thing to do for me. A couple bevvies back at the club sure. But if its true they were on the lash over there and didn't train until thursday then that's wrong. The league wasn't over. Dead rubber or not playing Rangers is a big game. And we should have wanted as much momentum as possible going towards a cup final for a treble. Quite simply our season was far from over.

Is that not what happened the last time he was here? Giving players time off, not training half the week, some players and coaches turning up for training still half pissed from the night before.
I know it's all hearsay but this is exactly why he should never have been brought back.

Just been told Rafael Benitez will sign 3 year deal after cup final superb
To say standards have slipped since Lenny took charge would be an understatement, by all accounts Jack Nayler (Head of Sports Science) has been appalled by the way Lenny has treated the philosophy that was in place, so much so that Nayler and Lennon don't even correspond with each other anymore. I think Nayler will be heading to Leicester anyway come the Summer right enough.

Players are now having a multitude of off days like they weren't having before, even on the days after a match all the players would be at Lennoxtown, with the players that started the match having a recovery session whilst the other squad players would train well. This week, after the victory against Aberdeen, Lennon let the players choose between heading to Dublin for a piss up, or having a few days somewhere of their choosing, so after a three day piss up, the players were all told to turn up to Lennoxtown on Wednesday morning for a half day training session, before going to Stevie Chalmers funeral. Full training then commenced on Thursday and Friday, no wonder we were jaded as **** in the game.

The above is what was sent to me this morning.
