jonace, surely it was our Brendan who spilt the beans to the press . He didn't demonstrate much integrity, talking to Scottish media re. Mc Ginn before AEK match.

He was asked a question! Funny how the press ask him but it's heads down n no awkward questions at them 🤣 get a grip omc 🙈.

Brendan has signed 3 decent players, the rest shouldn't be at Celtic. His results in Europe are embarrassing and both Lennon and Strachan did much better. Brendan is in my opinion starting to think he is bigger than Celtic and if I'd have my way I'd thank him, let him leave and get Lennon back. I don't trust Brendan to spend wisely and I don't think the board do either.

What utter drivel.

He signs Edouard, Morgan and Bain during the summer and you say the board don’t trust him? They missed out on McGinn, yeah it’s a bit of a sore one but highly doubt that it’s down to them not trusting him.

We should be looking forward and hoping we get through tomorrow night.

Lennon would be a complete step back.

Also, don’t think for a second that he thinks he is bigger than the club, however I do think he believes Celtic are bigger than what we allow ourselves to be and should match his ambition. He wants to compete in Europe yet has that defence to deal with? He has done since he came in, with the exception of Hendry and Gamboa, I won’t even include Comperr as he has hardly kicked a ball. Hendry is still to show that he is up to it and hell knows what’s going on with Gamboa but that’s up to BR to make the call.

Sinclair was player of the season in his first year, BR can’t be at fault for him losing form.

Moussa has been a great signing regardless of injury.

Edouard looks the real deal.

Ntcham is getting better week, in week out.

Morgan need to see what happens with him.

Bain looks a tidy addition.

Comperr is a total dud.

Kouassi looks total gash.

Gamboa shows promise but that’s compared to Lustig, something must have happened with him.

Musonda was a disaster.

Hayes long term injury.

Roberts long term injury.

You could go through each managers term and see who they signed that were good / bad.

Yeah the Celtic plc have a rich history of not buying when in the postion of strength. Still some cover up for them. How Brendan is getting the blame is unbelievable. It's like people don't actually follow Celtic but will make a comment anyway.

If this was a one of situation regarding standing still then maybe you could see the point of the board defenders. Sadly, it’s not. It’s a pattern that has been repeated all of my life as a supporter. Waiting until this stage and still no new players for our awful defence is nothing short of incompetence.

McGinn was a symptom of this approach. Dithering, penny pinching ego trip from Lawell. Boyata, first chance he gets wants away, didn’t anybody see that coming? He’s now shamefully pulled the bad back card to miss the ganecagainst AEK and we are without Ajer too. Hendry isn’t the answer and to rely on him is unfair tonys and the boy himself.

We could be out against a team we are better than, or should have been if we had got players in early. There is no guarantees in football except if you stand still you go back. If we crash out then the blame for that to me lies at the boardroom.

After a double treble, CL money, season tickets sold and a waiting list they had no excuse for them to continue the dithering cheapskate approach. Every now and again I start to believe we will move on and get quality in to sort it at least improve us defensively. Again and again this proves to be a pipe dream. Blaming Rogers for thecsutuation we are in is ridiculous. He gave them a list, they gave him nothing to help us qualify. That’s the scandal here.

Saturdays team selection was wrong and showed we need more qualitybwhen we leave out first team players.

I actually still think we can beat this mob but it will be all the more difficult due to having to take them in weaker than we finished last year. That’s not on and if we do crash out I am clear in my mind where the responsibility for that lies and it ain’t at Rogers door. If he had signed a couple of Comper’s again then he would have been het but he has not one addition.

Another self inflicted blow. To go on the shelf with the countless others where our boards fear of investing when in front derails us. We have a fight this year for the first time, and failing to tool up for it is a dereliction of duty. £60m down the drain through complacency is a farce. Trying to deflect that failure onto Rogers is avoiding the real historical truth about the lack of balls our boards have always had.

Lawell more than most must be hoping for a result. His strategy is front and centre and he bares the ultimate responsibility as he is the man who makes the deals, or in his case, hasn’t. Poor judgement. A final thought, had McGinn been in instead of the more expensive Kouassi would have been better and anybody who disagrees with that is kidding themselves on.

Can’t believe some of the pish being posted on here. Seems there are many who are even more gullible than the sevvies. The orcs have the guts of 20 million in shareholder loans, a TOP share order to sort out, an investigation into the application for a UEFA licence, they can’t sell their new humming shirts, a squad full of dross, an under 18s manager and yet all the Scottish press can talk about is our lack of additions to a squad that has won every domestic competition put in front of them. On top of that, Brendan came out on Saturday and said there was no issue between him and the board and he is loving every minute of the job. Wake up, you’re falling for this rubbishe hook, line and sinker. We’re in a better place than we’ve been for a long time.

Some people reckon that some of our better buys were from P L and son .
I wonder who was responsible for Musonda, I know many on here were very excited at the thought we were getting him .
One quick glance at him and I who would be far from an expert, thought he was far to lights& under developed.
I don't know how anyone could stand over spending money on loan for him.

can mcginn play at centreback?

nah

get over him and move on

We all slated Boyata - then he has a few good games, plays against engerland at worldcup and now he wants away - Jozo - inconsistent, injury prone and can't play on plastic. Ajer and Hendry - too young and a risk playing together. comperr just no. This is where we MUST strengthen and NOW. Our defence is and has been a nightmare in waiting. I know this, you know this, Brendan knows this, the board knows this - so why have they not bought anyone ready to go.

we never have and never will splurg on players - so mcginn/ midfielder was always a no for me - UNTIL defence was sorted.

yeah armstrong away - we have christie and allan back - both spl quality. Roberts wasnt getting a game over forrest.

Only a thorough bred person would talk about signing McGinn before Kuoassi . Now I know P L was slow bringing McGinn over the line and maybe guilty of believing reports of McGinn only signing for Celtic. I am pretty sure we had Kuoassi bought a full year before losing out on McGinn.
