if he has to leave then having a few clubs seeking him is only good news for us. It has to be a minimum of £20m and a 10-15% sell on.

Anything less is bollocks.

If any of them offer 15 mil then take it, his head is up his arse now so say thanks and ship him out, he his no good for us now. We have Griff who can put the ball in the nett just as regularly as MD, the only difference is LG wants to be here, and after a 40 goal season had every right to be tetchy when left on the bench.
None of the big boys in Europe have even looked at MD this season so 15/ 20 is a wonderful price.
Sell on % is difficult, but at least we have a good commercial guy in Lawell who will work his chops off to secure a deal, whatever you might say about him regarding spending makes no difference as he certainly knows about earning money for CFC.

Why sell him when he is out of form? Are we saying he won't regain it? I don accept that. He will regain his form and his price will rise. Selling him now at the stage he is playing, is like trying to sell your house before you put the roof on.

If we get £20m plus the 15% maybe. If he goes and starts scoring for fun then he will be sold on for double that in the summer.

We need to stop acting like spivs and realise his stock has fallen and if we wait we can get a lot more in the summer.

We have no need to panic, we can afford to keep him. He might want to go, but if it doesn't suit us, ten sorry but no. if he wanted a better team to come in the he is to blame for that. Giving him the second half of the season to attract the bigger clubs will be achieved by playing to his potential. If he does that he gets the move he really wants and we get a minimum of £30m and a sell on.

Some of the noises from our management team make it sound like now might be the time to cash in. We'll need a replacement other than Griffiths if we want to have any joy in Europe.

If we are going to sell the most important part of the deal is the sell on percentage in my opinion if he goes down south and hits good form and or gets a call up to the French team his price Will skyrocket eg van dyke so we should push for the highest percentage we can get.

We don't really need the cash although am not niave enough to know if daft offer comes in they'll take it but there might be more money to be had at the end of the season if he finds a bit of form.
