These are the players Lennon is hoping to get in before the window closes.

CB - Ciani - £1.3m or CB -Capuano - £1.4m
CM - Biton - £700k - DONE DEAL
RM/LM - Piatti - £2.75m
CF - Pukki - £2.3m - DONE DEAL
CF - Finnbogason - £3.75m or CF -Guidetti (loan)

CB, CM, 2x CF are the priority.
Expect the Piatti deal to be last min Sat night.

Also 2 players could be on there way out these a Stokes and Forster.
If Forster does go we have be keeping a close eye on Craig Gordons progress as well as another free agent Lee Camp

Would Love to see Piatti I have followed him since he started his Career at Estudiantes in Argentina there was a massive buzz around him in his early days another great Argentinian number 10 he has never really lived up to that billing he moved to Almeria in Spain and did very well earning a move to Valencia where his career has stalled but he is still only 24.
he is the type of player I feel we miss sometimes a creative number 10 type player who can beat a man or play a defence splitting pass he Has a EU passport so a work permit won't be needed!

I just read shay given is possibly heading to be liverpools standby? I'm pretty sure we could persuade him other wise if the unthinkable happens and big Fraser fu&ks us off!

I would have Shay Given in to Celtic in a heartbeat and get rid of that big dumpling. He made a few decent saves last year, Momo Sylla made a few decent passes, Mo Bangura had a shot on target. he does NOT dominate his penalty area and his lack of physical presence nearly cost us again on Wednesday. His distribution is murder on a good day and irrespective of who is playing in front of him they always look nervous. Now that cannot be down to every defender we have being poor, they all look ok when away with their countries and they looked ok before they came to us so the common denominator here is Forster. I now he is young but he is 6ft7 and he can't take a high ball, he gets pushed over and let's be honest here,,, he is a bottle merchant of the highest order,, how many times have you seen him turn his back. look at the long throw in on Wednesday! A solid keeper, striker and midfielder and we will be ok, that will be 7 players in, can't really complain about that can we.

I have said much the same about Forster as the name-less post above. However Shay Given is well and truly finished and unless a fantastic offer comes in for Forster, we will have to stick with him - although what our goalkeeping coach is doing puzzles me.
He has went backwards in 2 years and does not show any improvement at all in his areas of weakness we know very well and maybe his heart is not in it?
In the unlikelihood he does leave it would leave us very little time to replace and re-organise a fragile defence unless Zaluska can step up to first choice every week?

Apologies for not putting my name to the Forster post. Over the years we have been lucky with goalkeepers, always pulling one out of the hat but this time round I think the hat was having a laugh(ala harry potter). I wonder if Craig Gordon would be worth a punt. He was a top keeper and we have a decent deputy in Lukasz. let's be honest the only games we need to worry about are the European ones and I now everyone if buzzing about Wednesday but our keeper did everything in his power to make sure we didn't get there. I am stunned that we have Lennoxtown and we cannot produce a goalkeeper, not even one to go on the bench, makes you question the impact that Stevie Woods is having. Forster had a few decent games but you could outweigh them with the amount of times he has bottled coming for a high ball, a one v one, in fact anything that may see him getting hurt. Allymac.

Always pulling 1 out of the hat is total nonsense., its been a weak spot for Celtic for many a year. last season ff was superb for us the year before he was shocking. ther is something wrong when we can't produce a keeper of the highest quality yr in yr out.shay given was world class yet we let him go.ajw

I agree I don't like foster as a keeper. However is is one of lennys boys and therefore we won't sell. Unless his head was turned by Hooper Wanyama moves and the benefica rumour. My choice for settling down the defenders in front of him would be Shay whether people say he's past it or not I'd opt for him over Craig Gordon due to that injury. He's been out too long but was a v good keeper. Dies anyone look back and Marshall and wish we had kept him. He has matured well.
