It has been announced that Celtic plan to install a state of the art sound and light system at Celtic Park costing £2.8m similar to the ones already installed in Amersterdam and Munich, Celtic also plan to spend a further £1.2m on the second part of laying a new hibrid pitch.
Meanwhile over at Ibrox, Mr King has asked their fans to bring torches to all night games, and asked the fans to bring grass seed to help with the new pitch installation.

Class. Some of the displays at the Allianz Arena (have a google) that are projected onto the pitch are amazing. Sure to get the place rocking.

Jimmy bell spotted in B&Q buying three hundred boxes of fairy lights.

I’d rather the money was spent on the team rather than speakers, lightbulbs and grass.

10 May 2018 17:39:39
That would buy a CH that might help us actually win some of those big games, that we tend to get our arses handed to us because our CH’s are not good enough.

Don’t get me wrong once they fix the defence and we win the odd home game in the CL great lights would put the tin hat on it.

Still wait until we get players though. I’m old fashioned and bells and whistles cut no ice when the team gets scudded at home.

if there is no cl/ el then they can rent it out as an events venue = revenue. There's always a bigger picture.

Have to agree with u iceman and magicpole. I know people will say that doesn't effect the transfer budget but it would go a long way to getting in a decent CH or maybe getting rogic or paddy to stay.

10 May 2018 21:29:29
You can't stand still . Being a big club also requires a ground worthy of such . There's a bigger picture .

10 May 2018 22:46:03
Yes, the bigger picture is not getting our arses handed to us, wether that’s in multicoloured lights or normal floodlights

I’m not against this, I just want a team that it’s worth putting these lights on for.

Fur coat and no knickers springs to mind.

Sort out the team.

some people are never happy.
BR wanted the pitch improved to help the team and the board listened, If they had said no we will spend it on a player then the same people would complain that we aren't supporting the manager.
This kind of investment shows the orcs just how far ahead we are and that there criminal chairman is talking out his arse when he says that we would fold like a pack of cards if we lost just one title to them.
They couldn't afford £1 million for a player and we have spent double on a new pitch.
We are on course to win the treble again and we will have one of the best stadiums in Britain whilst our neighbours needs nets to stop there roof falling in on there heads.

11 May 2018 07:05:36
Let's just wait and see what our transfer activity will be before we criticise spending £4 million doing the stadium up. We have to keep the surroundings in order as well as a team on the pitch. Just look at the mob across the water, by all accounts castle greyskull is crumbling round about them due to being neglected for years. I've got to think if we're spending that kind of money on the stadium then we must have money available for recruitment, and to be honest i really don't think we need major surgery, yes defence definitely needs work done, but for me our first priority right now is getting rogic tied up on a new deal. Signings will come, it's all good enjoy it lads.

do they still do paradise windfall? look closely at ticket all proceeds to stadium development fund. if its still the same, so you guys paid for it. thank you! and yes its another selling point for using CP as a venue for major sporting and music events. Progress.

11 May 2018 10:10:19
Nobody is against this. That’s not the point. It may be that there is enough money from whatever source to do this, but the fact remains, we lost all our home games. That situation needs changing and for me, that comes first.

Having a team that could win at home would make a multicoloured extravaganza in my mind without one new bulb.

Having these lights if the team doesn’t shine, will still have us in the dark.

If we can afford both then brilliant, the team comes first though. Every time.

11 May 2018 14:28:17
Does this kind of thing not just stop the club losing profit money on taxes? By reinvesting they are tying the money up. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Sure half the people complaining will be sharing the pictures when its done. Just saying.

If you have wee bit extra you can always afford a pudding.

To hell with the poverty give the cat the budgie.
Light up paradise and the fans will come.
