Ed, you heard anything about the Billy Glimour to Celtic rumours? Do you reckon there is anything in it? Give it 5 or 6 years and we could have Gilmour and Dembele (Karamoko) in the same side.

{Ed007's Note - A women I know who works at Celtic Park told me that there was murmurings the other day that Gilmour and his dad had a late night meeting with Peter Lawwell but one of the youth players who know Gilmour says differently - he says that the lad's dad has met Lawwell and Congerton a couple of times over the last few weeks and Lawwell has asked the Gilmours not to sign for anyone without giving Celtic a chance to at least match any offer.}

He's a Celtic fan by trade is he not ED?

{Ed007's Note - So I've heard but I don't know for sure.}

ED007 and guys when I heard this story I genuinely thought it was an April Fools.

{Ed007's Note - Our scouting/recruitment department wouldn't be doing it's job if they weren't interested when a young player like Gilmour being available. I think he'll end up in England but I don' see the big deal, Dylan McGeouch never encountered any problems when he switched between youth set-ups.
And if people are going to give a 16 year old lad (and his family) dog's abuse over leaving Ibrox for Celtic Park they shouldn't be allowed out the house alone.}

{Ed007's Note - Tell Mrs Tim I said she's to wash your mouth out!}

Great point ED. out development squad seem very strong at the moment. Kelleher will make an appearance in our squad at some point I'd imagine.

{Ed007's Note - Exactly. Why wouldn't we be interested in Gilmour? If he's as good a prospect as people who know more about it than me think it's a no-brainer. If he's got any sense he'll definitely leave TRIFC, their academy set up is a shambles compared to clubs with a 10th of their budget.}

Ed a wouldn't like to see the abuse the lad would take, if he signs on for them he'll be their best chance to get out the mire. He wouldn't be able to live in Scotland if he signed for us mate, they've pinned all their hopes on the boy. If we signed him he'd need to live underground.

{Ed007's Note - By the time he made the first team only the most staunch of knuckle-dragger would have any great grievance against the kid.

If he signs now it will be a mere footnote in the rags no matter of the lads ability, hopefully, there loss. If it is all quiet at the crumble dome come summer and he develops as a target I'd say jump and get the lad if he is decent. watch the story develop and laugh. If it's too much move south get a good wage and help his family and avoid the poison of the city switch.
