Posted earlier that CG will sign a new deal, family friend knows Chris Brendan's assistant and apparently they are both really not happy with the board with regards to budgets,
If things don't go well in the today i think BR will let his fellings be known.

Did we not just spend £3m on a teenager? Maybe I'm missing something here but I'm rather happy with the squad we have at the moment. Hopefully we can get a couple of upgrades to the current first team in early in the summer then after qualification to the CL is sorted maybe another one or two quality players in to have a better go at the group stages this time. Also regarding Dembele and the general consensus he'll be off in the summer. If we qualify for the group stages why would he not want to stay? More cl experience and another season developing here would surely benefit his chances of going to the world cup with France?

Totally agree Mikeybhoy. For the first time in years its actually difficult to pick out positions that we actually need to strengthen. I'd have said GK but the consensus seems to be that Gordon should keep his spot. Perhaps a CB but Boyata has cruised it since his return. Another attacking player would be nice but whose spot are they going to take? Seems as though some fans just want money spent for the sake of it. If the right player is not available then we should stick with what we have. Far too many players still kicking around who should never have been signed in the first place, no need to add to that list just so we can boast that we spent £x amount in the window.

If Brendan Rodgers doesn't get the proper backing in the transfer market then no Celtic manager ever will whilst the current board are in place. They have done the hard part getting a brilliant manager in, why not back him with proper investment? There has got to be a minimum of 50 million sell on value for our top prospects in the current team. Now is the time to invest without looking a future sell on values!

I'd like to see a GK, a RB and a striker brought in. I think it's only a matter of time before Dembele goes and we need to spend a decent amount to replace him. Griffiths has done a great job over the past couple of years but we need another. That said, January is a difficult time to get targets in and I'd hate to see us waste more money on players who aren't any better than what we've got.
I'd like to think BR has guys in mind and will be backed by the board but time will tell. With sevco being so far behind us they might not be in any rush to spend big

I think the board will release funds, its surely reputation suicide if they dont, especially with the gates up n BR winning record. It's obvious we need to replace Roberts, competition for rogic who gets injured and we need 3 good strikers at the club. This is assuming we don't lose anyone. I expect 2-3 more to go in the summer (GMS, efe n cifti) with possibly dembele too, the issue will come if BR doesn't get cash to replace quality with quality but he's surely proved his worth.
