The name "Jean-Kevin Duverne" is being thrown around. Heard we're linked with signing him. No idea if it's true or not, just what I've heard.
{Ed007's Note - I was speaking to someone earlier about Duverne and was told that Lens have said Celtic, Red Star, Lille, Newcastle, Rennes, Lyon, Sunderland and Spurs have looked at him this season but he has only got in the first team this season and it would be seen as an enormous jump to move elsewhere and play.}

Read about this kid a while ago with Newcastle linked. Compared to Varane - not bad. The story at the time was Lens weren't interested in selling though. Might not be the case now.

Maybe he's an option for replacement of boyata/ efe? But I'd imagine we'd be looking at players that can make an instant impact even with sviatchenko and simunovic holding there position!

If we shipped Boyata and Ambrose this window, brought in Duverne, added to Erik, Jozo and Kolo that should be enough. Come the summer, we might decide to let Kolo go, which would free up some wages for a more established CB. By which time though, Duverne and Simunovic may have come on a fair bit.
I think if we see another player this window it will be an attacker. Get them up and running for the CL qualifiers. By then Roberts could well be away and Forrest, when you look at his goals return compared to those around him, stands out as a position that needs improving.

A don't want to see big kolo leave, he's a good role model for youngsters, but apart from that he's good cover.
