A guy we are meant to be signing. He's at game tonight.

Darlington Nagbe Skills and Goals.

I see he tweeted from celtic park.

The DR saying he's not for sale. Surely they're just meddling as why would he be at CP in the posh seats?

{Ed007's Note - Why would Celtic let a potential signing broadcast he's at Celtic Park when everything's usually done so close to their chest? According to Ed002, Nagbe won't be going anywhere in January, I think the guy's just been over for the game and everyone's jumping to conclusions.}

Is he a big enough name to be given a posh seat though Ed? If he was just over for the game would he not have had to buy a ticket off his own back and sit with the regular punters? If he had been invited over by the club and given a kooshty number last night you'd think there must be something in it.

{Ed007's Note - Nagbe or his agent could have got tickets from sponsors, he's with WMG which is one of the biggest Sports and Media agencies in the world after taking over SFX and they could get prime tickets for any sporting event in the world, Robbie Keane is represented by the same agency and Jackie McNamara is/was with them too, either of them could have arranged tickets. The trip could have been planned months ago to tie in with the MLS close season and tickets been arranged then with a phone call from WMG. It's easy enough to get a 'posh' ticket if you know the right people, and the fact I've sat in there more than a few times shows they'll let anyone in!
I just can't see the Club allowing any potential signing to go public and attract so much attention using social media. It's a bit odd that he hasn't been at Lennoxtown as well if we are trying to sign him.}

Or, maybe, he's signing for Barca. I'd take 002's word over any rag. And 007's that he hasn't been at Lennoxtown. I have to say though, him walking around and empty CP with men in suits on instagram did sound suspect.

I just can't see the logic of him being a guest if we weren't trying to secure him.

If he was just that interested in taking in a game why would we even know he was there?

Who told the press and why?

His agent maybe? And why would he do that?

Celtic? Why not?

Maybe I'm just hoping it to be true as it would make it more likely McGreggor was shipped to Dundee or Aberdeen which I think is his level.

Still, I think there are too many things that don't add up and suggests to me there us more to this than scoring a pish ticket off some agency.

I might be wrong but I can't see it.

{Ed007's Note - Do you think Celtic would conduct transfer negotiations so publicly? That's why it doesn't sit right with me. Nobody told the press anything, they picked it up from the player's social media accounts the same as everybody else. There aren't any quotes from anyone - officially or unofficially - involved to back it up, all we have is a few posts on the player's social media accounts that he was in Glasgow for Celtic v Barcelona.
Ronny Deila, Jamie Redknapp, Andriy Shevchenko and Gaizka Mendieta were all sitting around the same area as Nagbe and his guest - it turns out it might not have been his agent he was with and nobody bothered to check.}

{Ed001's Note - if that was the case, you would have signed a lot of players by now, such as Rooney. Talk about living in a fantasy world!}

Ed007 I agree our club normally don't allow any rumours or pre publicity on forth coming purchases . This makes me very suspicious about any Nagbe signing .
Maybe some very bad news is about to emerge from Celic, about one of our stars leaving or maybe they feel that they have to be seen to move for him now to prevent others signing .
Funny enough I don't really believe either, so it is just our usual 2+2 =5.

{Ed007's Note - It's just all so very strange, Chris. And if there's any truth in it the Club will need to be extremely careful they don't find themselves in hot water for 'tapping up' - remember our manager does have previous for it. People are forgetting a player must have permission from their club to talk to another club, especially when they have a contract until 2019!
Are these people who have said Rodgers held talks with the player accusing the Celtic manager of breaking the rules and tapping up a player?}

Ed007 I like most people here have got carried away before almost every transfer window by the popular rumour of this great player signing from some exotic place .
After my initial excitement with a bit of mature reflection, I always mark the rumour down as a non runner . I can never remember been wrong .

I also don't think we will be signing Mc Carthy either.

{Ed007's Note - At least we know the Club are definitely interested in McCarthy.}

25 Nov 2016 11:05:38
How do we know that?

{Ed007's Note - Because I told you.}

25 Nov 2016 13:50:23
Oh, I forgot about that.

It's all conjecture. Everything said in here, no matter how vehemently put, is a guess.

My guess is there is something to it, your guess is it izny.

A trawl through the rumours page from the past clearly shows that.

Celtic Guesses :)

{Ed007's Note - There's no conjecture. I said Celtic have contacted Everton about McCarthy for the simple reason that it's a fact. Whether moaning faced morons like you believe me or not is of no concern to me - when I throw a dog a bone, I don't want to know if it tastes good.}

Throw a dog a bone! Howlin!
