Looks like Mcnair is going to opt to stay in the BPL with Sunderland, oh that's another one to slip through the net don't think they will ever learn always dragging our heels sick of it now.

Get used to it mate, because that's one thing that will never change no matter who the manager is! I mean how long has this Sinclair thing been going on honestly! It's embarrassing! And if it's villa that's holding it up then walk away and pursue another target! Really thought things would change when BR came in, as did many others who rushed out for season tickets! But it will never change now. as for McNair, I ain't to fussed to be honest! Seen him a couple of times and wasn't impressed at all! Brendan has said he wants 4 in by the end of August, so we'll wait and see! Won't hold my breath but.

Was never keen on McNair anyway. Sinclair would/ will be a good deal.

How could Mc Nair slip through our fingers when we don't know whether Rodgars had any interest or not .
I remember it wasn't long ago since Celtic fans treated B R as a semi God taking us on as Manager . Surely the least we can allow him to do is to allow him to follow his transfer goals . It was said her by one that none of his previous players would want to follow him . It appears Sinclair does and let us hope we get him.

@HenriksTongue its called paying the going rate for a player who will improve team. If other clubs are quoted the same price then the same price applies to us. We all know your happy with PL penny pinching antics over the years, but majority of fans are not.

Dh88 if we walked away from every deal where the other club were digging their heels then we'd never sign anybody. They're trying to get the best deal for them and we're trying to get the best deal for ourselves. That's how it works when we sell players too. In an ideal world we'd get our business done early doors but we've got 30 days until the end of the window, there's no need to panic just yet.

There's no panic kev, because it's exactly how it always goes! And nobody saying walk away from every deal. but it's more than a coincidence that it seems to happen in just about every deal we do. if villa are are dragging there heels then move on to another target, that's all I'm saying!

DN30 you have no credibility after slating Dembele after a couple of games. i'm quite happy with what we've done so far this window. I'm confident we'll get a few more players in and improve the squad. And if they take time then so be it.

Yes there is a transition period where time is taken for a player to gel into a team, but Dembele looked well and truly out of his depth. Did not look comfortable at all which is surprising for a player who played 46 games last season in ECL. Credibility is not in question having reason for concern. Wasnt so long ago you were saying Ambrose needed another season to settle into team. Says it all about you Henrik Tongue.

Dh88 I agree we're notorious for leaving things to the last minute but I don't think that's necessarily always the club's fault (players waiting to see if we get CL etc. ) but my point is that if we move on from Sinclair to the next target then that player's club will also try and play hardball to get as much money as they can.

BR will prioritise what he needs now but it takes time and money to build the squad.
Patience is another thing sometimes the right player isn't available and you have to wait or with sinclair you have to negotiate.
Villa have a new owner and it looks like he wants the best price for his player which there entitled to do.
I also think there's an element of him wanting to flex his muscles.

Im sure people have stated before how deals take time. For too long we have just bought players of average ability. To slate Dembele as you have is unbelievable and your description of his play also. What I have seen is his strength, his hold up play, his passing and ability to go past players. What I am yet to see is an official goal as his only one was unluckily dissallowed. This will come once a settled team understands the runs he is making. He does however seem to be taking an extra touch sometimes. Will put this down to trying to hard and sharpness which will improve. I don't think we have embarressed ourselve in the transfer market think we have done well. As for sinclair he wouldn't be my choice but i'm not BR so have to trust him on this. Although if Sinclair recaptures his form can't wait for him to destroy Tavernier. BR has claimed we need 4 players. If they are all in the same category would this make you feel more positive about Celtic? Hopefully. Haill Hail.

Sometimes it is difficult to understand what we all want . We sometimes moan when we discuss P L wages + bonuses of approximately £1m . However when P L recoups his million X Two or three we accuse him of over haggling .
We can't have it both ways .
