I know we are being linked with players every day but if Aberdeen are contemplating selling Jonny Hayes to Wigan for £500,000 I personally think he would be a good signing for Celtic any thoughts fellow Tims.

Like Hayes think he's a cracking wee player but worry he could be like GMS and struggle at times playing for a club like ours.

Chris30 my dad always says that if celtic are signing players from Scotland that it needs to be players that preform well against us and don't hid.
Hayes always stands out and gives us problems fae what I have seen
GMS on the other hand seemed to disappear against us.

Good player but I think we should aim for a better quality. No point in more squad signings.

Not sure Hayes would be a squad signing.
He's better than most the wingers there and with Roberts leaving after this season could be a good buy.
But every signing is a gamble.

Johnny hayes is rotten. Sorry lads but we have got to be looking at a better standard of player than that. Hope more of the flops like GMS and ambrose get sold quickly too. So brendan con concentrate on a more compact squad.

500k isn't a bad fee but I think we should cast the net a bit further and spend more on a first team player. At 28 he would need to be able to walk into the team for it to be worthwhile and for me he doesn't. I'd rather give nesbit a chance left of a front 3.

Not any better than what we have and would just be one more squad player we do not need. I don't think there is one player in Scotland that would walk into our starting 11. Guys like McGinn at Hibs decent enough but would he start next season no. We need to look elsewhere for players. We have been buying squad players for years now it's time to stop this trend and start buying quality over quantity.

how many players have we scoffed at that have went down England and done really well? Snodgrass was only decent when he left livi and look at him now we need to stop turning our nose up at Scottish players and when we do sign then play them in their natural position (Armstrong comes to mind) then judge if they are good enough or not some will be some won't but this he plays in a league below so he's obviously not good enough is absolute boll**ks.

Never said he hid just that he disappeared. Was never worried about him but always thought Armstrong stood out.

Armstrong definitely the stronger out the two for me but needs to be played in the middle. GMS shows wee bits of potential and should be given til January perhaps.
