I don't really see why he would come to Celtic? He's been offered allsorts to play in China or he could go to the premier league. Although he could come to us and play against thistle at firhill.

I would love to believe this is true I just can't see it happening he would give up the chance to play EPL football for the chance to go up to Inverness on a cold winters night! As a player I would have him in a minute but between his ego and Brendon's ego something would have to give! Imagine if he got more than 13000 fans turning up for his unveiling that is bound to hurt Brendon's feelings and brues his ego! We would have to take everything back that we have ever said about Liewell if he pulled that off!

Agreed. Saw the BIG EGO point. In guessing the poster fed off another EDs fixed view of BR. It's amazing how so many posters have so many football men pigeon holed. And here's me thinking the best judges are the players and the chief executives.
I can only hope / assume the poster knows BR very very well because I'd hate to think his declarations on BRs big ego are based on 3rd party 2nd hand rumour and supposition. Heaven forbid eh?

He shouts his mouth off about how great he is and how everything good was down to him and everything that went wrong was always someone else's fault. Hell, he even tried to claim credit for Luis Suarez, that he made him known, despite him already being world famous for the handball on the line in the World Cup. That is why he is known to have a big ego, because he does have one.}

You might want to read it again, Rodgers claimed he made Suarez well known, not that he made him the player he is. Which he didn't, as he ruined every other bugger in the team, so it is clearly not due to Rodgers that he was so good.}

I cannot recall too many Managers who don't have a big ego. They need it to be able to get over the snide remarks that come from opposing fans . At Celtic, unfortunately they need it to ward off the groundless remarks from their own fans .
Every Manchester Utd Manager over the last 25 yrs has had a big ego as far as Liverpool fans are concerned and similarly every L'pool manager has in the UTD fans eyes . However when these managers were in charge of their club we didn't hear any reference to it from their own supporters .
I don't understand why we are discussing B Rodger's ego, surely that is one of the reasons he has been as successful as he has, it wouldn't it. be a lot worse if he was saying he didn't know how Celtic would play and that he would leave it to Brown and someone else and then added that the Celtic job was too big for him but he would try to muddle through.

Exactly and he didn't win the EPL until he was in his '60's, if he had a big ego he would have won up to 10 EPL.
