ED007 is it true that Celtic have released Carlton Cole and that Scepovic could be staying in Spain (rumours I saw online)

That a defo on scepovic ED? Was reading the getafe manager saying that him and the other loans at there club would be sent back to there clubs! Really disappointed in big Cole so I am! Thought he could have done a job but he's obviously finished now! Ambrose ciftci Forrest next now with bitton and johannsen sold would do for me!
{Ed007's Note - I just checked there and I was wrong mate, sorry. He has left but there was a compulsory purchase clause in the loan contract where Getafe would have had to pay us to cancel it. All in we got £500k as a loan fee and £1.5m for the permanent transfer.}

That's not too bad Ed all in we lost what 500k not too bad for a player that could not get a game for us.

{Ed007's Note - I'm not a great believer in the old transfer budget or warchest headlines grabber. There are far too many costs involved in transfers for anyone to know how much the manager has to spend. What is paid by the buying club would typically include:
(a) Transfer fee - the big number.
(b) Any levy applied by the local FA – 5% for the EPL.
(c) Tax due on the transfer fee – typically this will be VAT (at varying rates across Europe) some or all of which should be reclaimable.
(d) Agent fees – this may be to one or more agents.
(e) Tax due on the agent fees – typically this is VAT at the local rate where the agent bills from – it is not reclaimable.
(f) Intermediary fees – this may be to one or more sponging leeches(what do you mean you have a super agent?) .
(g) Tax due on the Intermediary fees – typically this is VAT at the local rate where the Intermediary bills from – it is not reclaimable.
(h) Signing on fee to the player (possibly including non-reclaimable VAT if the player is VAT registered).
(i) Legal fees.
(j) VAT on legal fees which is reclaimable.
(k) Moving/relocation costs for the player.
(l) VAT on moving/relocation costs which is reclaimable.
(m) Paying up insurance costs to the selling club (sometimes waived).
(n) Variables and tax on variables which may or may not be reclaimable) – these would typically include legal fees, moving/relocation costs, etc..}

Thanks for that ED007 and £2m (in total) for Scepovic is not too shabby, Brendan will need any funds we can raise and that fatty Cole leaving too is another bonus. Maybe Rodgers will give Stokes another chance also.

I agree Ed regarding. When he wants to try his best he is a great like today, but doesn't happen often enough. Still a decent back up for griffiths in SPL though.

Aye mate I see what you mean. there's a hell of a lot more involved than just a simple transfer budget. just hope whatever he's got to spend that it's spent on 2 or 3 quality signings that can come in and go straight in the team! Quality striker to help LG would my first choice! ðŸ‘ðŸ»ðŸ‘ðŸ»ðŸ‘ðŸ».

I think this could be similar to when MON came in, I don't think we will spend the same but we could see a few really good players coming in.
