Tried to post earlier on about this but never got put up for some reason! U heard anything about this ED? Surely this is a load of pi$h mate? Wouldn't have thought he'd be the type of player we would be looking at!

He's a strange one - his CV is probably better than anyone to ever play for Celtic, he's played for around 5 huge clubs, more than 30 caps for Turkey, who have some great players! He's only 29, he's aggressive, experienced, if we got him on a free I think it might be worth a shot! His goal scoring record is poor but he's played a lot of his career wide, and isn't a poacher type! On the face of it he'd be a far better signing than Cole, who has played 1 game against a pub team! I'd like a bit more experience, aggression, leadership in the team, more talkers!

Lol no ED wouldn't expect him to be up this early. just wondering why it hadn't been put up that's all. what's your thinking on this guy bud? Plenty of experience and has played at a good level! Just seems a bit of a trouble maker to me.
{Ed001's Note - you asked for his opinion, well an ed's opinion, and I always assume people prefer the editor they know unless I have something particularly interesting to add. In my opinion he is a complete bell and is nothing but trouble so would steer clear. This isn't a Leigh Griffiths situation, where this is a big opportunity for him that might never come around again, so he has an incentive. This is just another big club of many for him, so I don't think he is ready to change his ways and reform just yet. He needs to get rejected and have to drop down levels to get a game before he realises what a mess he is making of his career.}

303 games and 38 goals in his club career and 2 in 37 at international level, I'm surprised he's even considered for any major premiership team with scoring stats like that.

Not often I disagree with you Delphic, and I certainly agree with what you say we could do with. But CKR is not the answer for me. It stinks of desperation.

Scoring record is abysmal. I think we would use him as a no 10 or winger. I think he has a bit of talent but not worth it. Save the wages for a proper goal scoring striker in the summer.

It is Celtic Jim - desperation sounds about right! I thought we were on our way to a brilliant transfer window. We needed a centre half big time, Sviatchenko can also play as a left back, so when we need to go to a solid back 4 it gives us options! We badly need another striker as well though, in my opinion having only Griffiths, Cifti and Cole is a disgrace! That is by far the worst choice of strikers in my 30 years going to the games because even in our darkest hour we had groups like Johnston/ McInally/ McClair, or McAvennie/ Miller/ McGhee/ Walker or Van Hooidonk/ Thom/ Cadete/ Di Canio. I'd also like to see guys like Izzy and Commons move on, Forrest also! It's good to freshen things up and we don't want any more tantrums/ bad atmospheres if they aren't getting picked! They've had their time, and we appreciate what they did, but the squad doesn't have a good balance to it!

Griffiths has come on leaps and bounds, but I'm still livid with our striking options too. It's just unimaginative recruitment considering we have scouts all over the globe. But CKR in my opinion, wouldn't improve it. We're best off punting Ciftci and getting in a player who we know will have a right good chance of keeping LG out the starting XI.
